The Resort at Erie Landing Introduce
Located in the scenic coastal region of Port Clinton, Ohio, The Resort at Erie Landing offers a waterfront camping experience at 4495 Darr-Hopfinger Rd, Port Clinton, OH 43452, USA. Situated in a prime location near Lake Erie, this RV park aims to provide a range of amenities and services for both short-term visitors and seasonal campers. For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' with waterfront access and various recreational features, The Resort at Erie Landing presents itself as a potential destination. However, it's important to consider recent customer feedback to gain a balanced perspective on the current state of the campground.
Recent reviews of The Resort at Erie Landing present a mixed picture of the guest experience. One review expresses significant dissatisfaction, citing issues with pool hours and accessibility, cleanliness prioritization, and the execution of advertised activities. The reviewer specifically mentions limited pool hours (11 am to 5 pm on most days) and instances where the pool was closed even during operating hours due to staffing concerns. Furthermore, the reviewer notes a perceived lack of prioritization in maintenance, with pool cleaning sometimes occurring during prime swimming times. The experience with the jump pad, which was reportedly delayed in opening and then deemed unusable due to cleanliness issues, further contributed to the negative feedback, with the reviewer suggesting a lack of proactive management and communication regarding activities. This guest also mentioned issues with bugs and a lack of trees, leading to an overall extremely disappointing experience and the decision not to return.
In contrast, another recent reviewer offers a more positive perspective, particularly highlighting the efforts of the staff, especially Jenn. This reviewer, a seasonal camper, acknowledges the campground's "enormous potential" and praises the management for being responsive to seasonal campers' input, citing examples such as the introduction of bands, food trucks, and a kitchen at the main center. The beautiful waterfront view is also noted as a significant positive aspect. This reviewer appreciates the management's engagement with seasonal campers, suggesting a level of attentiveness that is not always common in campgrounds. This positive feedback indicates that some campers, particularly seasonal ones, have experienced a more satisfactory stay and appreciate the direction the resort is taking under the current management.
Considering the category "RV parks near me," The Resort at Erie Landing, with its waterfront location and stated amenities, aligns with the expectations of many seeking a camping experience in the Port Clinton area. The availability of a pool and a jump pad suggests family-friendly features aimed at providing recreational opportunities for guests of all ages. The mention of catering to seasonal campers also indicates that the resort aims to build a longer-term community in addition to accommodating short-term visitors.
To provide a more objective introduction, it's crucial to acknowledge both the positive potential and the areas of concern raised in the recent feedback. The resort's waterfront location is undoubtedly a significant draw, offering scenic views and potential access to water-related activities on Lake Erie. The efforts of the management to engage with seasonal campers and introduce amenities based on their feedback are also noteworthy positives.
However, the negative review raises important questions about the consistency of service delivery, the prioritization of maintenance and cleanliness, and the reliability of advertised activities. Potential guests should be aware of these reported issues and may want to inquire specifically about the current status of the pool hours, the cleanliness protocols, and the schedule of any planned activities when making a booking.
Local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who are considering The Resort at Erie Landing should weigh the potential benefits of its location and the positive experiences of some seasonal campers against the concerns raised by other guests regarding amenities and management. Contacting the resort directly at (419) 734-2460 or +1 419-734-2460 is highly recommended to obtain the most up-to-date information on the park's services, amenities, and any ongoing improvements.

These features could be attractive to families and individuals looking for a recreational camping experience near Lake Erie. However, prospective guests should conduct their own due diligence based on recent feedback and direct communication with the resort.
In conclusion, The Resort at Erie Landing in Port Clinton, Ohio, offers a waterfront RV camping experience with amenities such as a pool and jump pad. While one recent review expresses significant concerns regarding pool operation, cleanliness, and the execution of activities, another highlights positive aspects such as the management's engagement with seasonal campers and the beautiful location. The resort's potential lies in its location and the efforts of its staff, but addressing the issues raised in negative feedback will be crucial for ensuring a consistently positive guest experience.

The Resort at Erie Landing Reviews
I do not recommend this camp groundStayed August 10 through August 17. Pool hours are ridiculous 11 to 5 most days although they do close early if they feel that they don’t have the staff.most of the time when you go to the pool even though it’s supposed to be open it is not you have to chase someone down to open the pool they also do not know how to prioritize cleaning the pool during swimming hours they say it’s because they don’t have enough maintenance staff, but they do not know how to prioritize the same guy that cleans the pool is the same guy that was pruning the trees at 9 o’clock in the morning and then decided to clean the pool at 11 which takes a good hour.A good campground that knows how to prioritize would’ve made sure that the pool was cleaned before they pruned the trees.Empty promises on activities that are happening. from what we can see most of It is due to pure laziness on their part. Great example jump pad was supposed to be open at 8 o’clock on Friday the 16th. First time it was gonna be open during our stay. We were leaving the next day. We knew this because of a flyer that we found in the office that morning they start blowing it up at 8 o’clock that night discover it’s a little too dirty can’t be used. Tell us it won’t be available till the next day because supposedly it is illegal to jump on a dirty jump pad they had all day to clean this jump pad, but didn’t even bother to look at it till 8 o’clock that night.I could go on and on about the terrible bugs, the lack of trees, but I’m not going to waste my breath extremely disappointed in this campground. They should focus on improving what they currently have before they start adding hundreds more campsites, this campground does not know the true meaning of a good customer experience they certainly have lost three families coming back here.
Aug 18, 2024 · Diane CoteThis is our first year here; however, we have been a seasonal camper at other locations. This campground has enormous potential—Jenn and her staff are phenomenal. I don't say that lightly. She works day and night on the weekends and takes input from all the seasonals here: bands, good food trucks, and a kitchen at the main center. The view is beautiful if you appreciate the water. It’s been a long time since I saw a campground that appreciates their season. Usually, once a campground has your money, you are non-existent. Not this one. Highly recommend!
Jun 02, 2024 · Scott GardnerI absolutely back up what Scott Gardner posted about this park, we both left the same Resort and relocated here. Their entire staff is top notch, which is an experience I've never had before. They care about their seasonal campers here, another new experience camping seasonally. They do what the say they're going to do and I honestly feel like the staff takes a lot of pride in making campers happy and welcome. Jen's communication is 2nd to none, but I don't want to take anything away from the rest of the staff, they are fantastic. It has just gotten better and better every week. Thank you to REL staff and all my new neighbors for welcoming us in!
Jul 07, 2024 · Dan KreilachWhile SO many seasonal campers love this establishment (per the reviews), this review is from the perspective of and to other transient campers. Our campsite was mostly dirt and rocks in an open field. Our loop was very far from the amenities. We tried to rent a golf cart mid week but were told none were available, despite the fact that we saw maybe 5 other humans on Wednesday/Thursday. The pools close at 5, so that was a bit of a surprise. The bar/restaurant on site wasn't open during the week. Staff was nice, but overall seasonal weekenders are the priority. We felt a bit deceived by the website. If OU do choose to stay, give yourself some extra time to dump your tanks, as the sewer sticks out of the ground quite far.
Jun 18, 2024 · Val WoolumsI wouldn't come back if they paid me. I literally spent the entire time apologizing to my family for booking our stay here. It was so awful my husband only left our camper once and we left an entire day early because we couldn't take it anymore. The photos on the website as well as the word "Resort" are very misleading. The campground and campsites were covered in weeds and the bugs were relentless. The "cottages" had boarded over windows and siding that was falling off. The entire property looked like a junk yard with pieces and parts of equipment laying around every corner. There was a 50% chance every time we took our dogs out to use the restroom, an unleash dog would run up to us. None of the staff, though friendly, could answer a single question we asked and we were also told misinformation about the checkin time which caused us to rush to this campground for fear of being locked out our first night. The town and area around the campground was just as depressing. With all that being said, there were people there that seemed to be enjoying themselves, but it was more of a party crowd. The pool was large and felt big enough to accommodate the people that were there, but the landscaping around it was lacking. After we checked in, we read a sentence on our paperwork that said they were in a "transition year". I wish we had known that before booking and also would have assumed they wouldn't be charging a premium for what the campground looked like. So disgusted we wasted so much money on a stay here. To make matters worse, we drove by a brand new campground right across the street from Kalahari on our way home that looked incredible and was way cheaper than this place. My daughter may never speak to me again.
