Tide water RV park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Hoodsport, Washington area, Tide water RV park, located in Hoodsport, WA 98548, USA, is a location that may appear in your search results. Hoodsport is situated along the scenic Hood Canal in Mason County, known for its natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities. However, the online reviews for Tide water RV park present a complex and somewhat concerning picture that potential residents should carefully consider when looking at "RV parks near me."
One reviewer describes Tide water RV park as a place that has experienced "good and bad times," which is not uncommon for any neighborhood. They acknowledge that like any community, there will be a mix of individuals. The reviewer suggests that the park has acquired a "bad reputation" due to the acceptance of "not so desirable individuals," but they emphasize that this does not reflect the majority of the residents. According to this review, many residents are "low income or disabled" and face challenges finding affordable housing elsewhere. The reviewer points out that the rent at Tide water RV park is "very reasonable" and that the management does not discriminate against individuals with bad credit or minor criminal histories. While this policy provides housing opportunities for a segment of the population that might struggle to find it elsewhere, the reviewer also notes that it can lead to some residents with ongoing issues who may cause problems for others seeking a peaceful living environment.
Another reviewer offers a more critical perspective, stating that "first and foremost this is a residential property not a RV repair shop," implying potential issues with the appearance or activities within the park. They mention that the residents pay monthly rent and are often part of the "HEN program" (likely referring to a housing assistance program). This reviewer alleges a "major drug problem being enabled" within the park and points out "some basic cosmetic issues" that need to be addressed. They echo the sentiment of the first reviewer by stating that there are both "good people there and not so good people." However, this reviewer is particularly critical of the landlord, suggesting a lack of honesty and raising serious concerns about "raw septic, theft and feral cats."
Considering these reviews in the context of searching for "RV parks near me," potential residents need to weigh the potential benefits of affordable rent and a non-discriminatory acceptance policy against the significant concerns raised about drug problems, safety (theft), sanitation (raw septic), and property maintenance (cosmetic issues, feral cats). The contrasting views highlight the importance of looking beyond the basic amenities of an RV park and considering the social environment and the responsiveness of the management to resident concerns.
For individuals specifically seeking "RV parks near me" for temporary stays or as a base for exploring the Hoodsport area, these reviews might give pause. While the location itself offers access to the natural beauty of the Hood Canal, the internal environment of the RV park, as described, could detract from the overall experience. Travelers often prioritize safety, cleanliness, and a peaceful atmosphere when choosing an RV park for their travels.
For those considering Tide water RV park as a more permanent or long-term living situation due to its affordability and acceptance policies, it is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence. This would involve attempting to visit the park in person to assess the conditions for oneself. Observing the cleanliness, the state of the infrastructure (including septic systems, if possible to ascertain), and the general atmosphere of the community could provide valuable insights that go beyond online reviews. If possible, speaking with current residents (outside of any management presence) could offer a more candid perspective on the day-to-day living experience.
The mention of "raw septic" is a particularly serious concern from a health and safety perspective and should be a top priority for investigation. Issues related to theft and drug problems also raise significant red flags about the overall safety and security of the park. While the first reviewer suggests that the majority of residents are simply trying to live peacefully, the presence of these issues could create a challenging environment for anyone considering moving in.
In conclusion, while Tide water RV park in Hoodsport, WA, may offer affordable rent and a non-discriminatory policy that provides housing for individuals who might have limited options, the online reviews raise significant concerns about the park's environment, safety, sanitation, and management. Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Hoodsport area should carefully weigh these potential drawbacks against the affordability factor. A thorough personal investigation is strongly recommended to gain a realistic understanding of the living conditions before making any decisions about residing at Tide water RV park.

Tide water RV park Reviews
The park has been through its share of good and bad times just like with any neighborhood your going to have good and bad elements come and go. The place gets a bad reputation because of the not so desirable individuals being let in but that does not reflect the majority of people living here. Most are low income or disabled and due to their financial situation find it hard to rent most places . The rent is very reasonable and do not discriminate against individuals with bad credit or minor criminal history's so you are going to get a few people who still have issues and cause problems for the other tenants who just want to be respected and live life in peace like another person rich or poor.
Nov 10, 2023 · Gregory MuircroftFirst and foremost this is a residential property not a RV repair shop. The people there pay a monthly rent and are on rental agreements (mostly the HEN program) the majority but not all are on. There's definitely a major drug problem being enabled as well. And some basic cosmetic issues need to be addressed. There's good people there and not so good people. The landlord needs to be more honest.Issues such as raw septic, theft and feral cats.
