It is nice to see the pool open again. Thank u for opening the pool and doing a raffle for reviews. Prizes where great. The pool part turned out great. But the park still needs lots of work. Been here for 6 years and when the old owner had this place it was great family park. They even had a pond with fish and turtles u could feed and enjoy. But it no longer here. 😕 we have a new Manger hope she can bring the park back to a great family park. Need more things for family to do. With the rent increase of 10% hope to see lots of updates and more safety and more family things put in. Needs lots of work. Need to open club house back up to. When things approve more I will rate higher. - Amanda Niederquell

Voyagers Cove Introduce

Located at 2845 E Hatch Rd, Modesto, CA 95351, USA, Voyagers Cove is a mobile home park that appears to be undergoing a period of transition and facing some significant challenges, according to recent resident reviews. For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Modesto area, it's important to note that Voyagers Cove is a mobile home park. While some mobile home parks may occasionally accommodate RVs, their primary focus is on long-term residents living in mobile homes. Those interested in potential RV options should contact Voyagers Cove directly at (209) 537-6788 or +1 209-537-6788 to inquire about their policies and availability for recreational vehicles.

Recent customer feedback provides a mixed view of Voyagers Cove. One long-term resident of six years highlights a recent positive development: the reopening of the pool. They express gratitude for this and mention a raffle associated with reviews, indicating an effort by the management to engage with residents and potentially gather feedback. The reopening of the pool is seen as a positive step, but the reviewer also emphasizes that "the park still needs lots of work." They recall a time under the old owner when Voyagers Cove was a "great family park" featuring a pond with fish and turtles, which is no longer present. With a new manager in place, there is hope that the park can be restored to its former state as a "great family park" with more family-oriented activities. The reviewer also mentions a recent 10% rent increase and expresses the expectation of seeing significant updates, improved safety, and more family-friendly amenities, including the reopening of the clubhouse. Their overall rating is withheld pending further improvements.

In stark contrast, another recent review paints a concerning picture of current living conditions at Voyagers Cove. This resident reports the removal of all street parking for what they perceive as "absolutely no reason." They claim that the entire park has been designated as fire lanes, despite the fire marshal allegedly stating in multiple phone conversations that these streets do not meet the criteria for fire lanes. A significant issue raised is the lack of two parking spots per home, leading to situations where residents with multiple vehicles can no longer both park at their own homes. The consequences of this parking situation are described as "very dangerous," with concerns about the difficulty of unloading groceries or children and the risk of incurring $400 towing fees for parking violations. The reviewer strongly advises against living at Voyagers Cove, particularly for those who expect visitors, as guests risk being towed even for short visits. The lack of parking is also highlighted as a major inconvenience for hosting family events or accommodating disabled visitors who may have to walk long distances. Safety concerns are raised for children walking in the roadways due to the lack of parking and the presence of fast-driving vehicles. The reviewer characterizes the current atmosphere as "full of anxiety and trauma" and "very depressing," a significant departure from what they describe as a "nice place for a long time" that previously operated more like a single-family community. The current management is perceived as not caring about the homeowners, with the park now operating more like an apartment complex where homeowners have limited freedom to have guests. The overall sentiment is one of a prison-like environment.

Based on these reviews, the environment at Voyagers Cove appears to be in flux and potentially challenging for residents at present. While there are hopes for improvement under new management and a positive step with the pool reopening, significant issues, particularly concerning parking and the overall sense of community and freedom, are evident.

Typical services and features of a mobile home park like Voyagers Cove would generally include:

  • Individual mobile home lots with utility hook-ups (water, sewer, electricity).
  • Roadways and common area maintenance.
  • On-site management.

Based on the reviews, additional features that were previously present or are hoped for include:

  • A swimming pool (recently reopened).
  • A clubhouse (currently not open, but residents hope for its reopening).
  • A pond with fish and turtles (no longer present).
  • Potential for organized family events and activities (currently lacking, but desired by residents).
  • Street parking (recently removed, a significant point of contention).

The current lack of adequate parking, the removal of street parking, and the alleged misapplication of fire lane designations appear to be major concerns for residents, impacting their daily lives and their ability to have visitors.

The location of Voyagers Cove on East Hatch Road in Modesto provides residents with access to the amenities of the city. Modesto offers a range of shopping, dining, and service options. The specific location might offer varying levels of convenience to these facilities.

Currently, there is no mention of any promotional offers for new residents. Individuals considering moving to Voyagers Cove should weigh the positive aspect of the reopened pool and the hope for future improvements against the serious concerns raised about parking restrictions and the overall living environment. It is strongly recommended to contact the management directly for clarification on the parking situation, the timeline for any planned improvements, and the current rules and regulations of the park. Visiting the park in person and speaking with current residents (beyond those who have left reviews online) could provide a more comprehensive understanding of the community.

For those seeking "RV parks near me," Voyagers Cove's current challenges and its primary focus on mobile homes suggest it may not be the most suitable option unless there are specific long-term arrangements available for RVs that address the parking and other concerns raised by residents. Direct inquiry with the management is essential to determine if any RV accommodations are offered and under what conditions.

In conclusion, Voyagers Cove Mobile Home Park in Modesto, CA, is a community facing significant challenges related to parking and a perceived decline from its former status as a "great family park." While the reopening of the pool is a positive sign, potential residents should be aware of the serious concerns raised by current residents and should conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with management and a visit to the park, before making any decisions. The hope for future improvements under new management exists, but the current living experience appears to be negatively impacted by parking issues and a lack of family-oriented amenities.
