Williams RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Pocola, Oklahoma area, Williams RV Park, located at 507 Cummings Ave, Pocola, OK 74902, USA, is one option that may appear. You can contact them at (479) 430-9097 or their mobile number, +1 479-430-9097, for inquiries. However, it is crucial for prospective guests to be aware of significant concerns raised by recent customers regarding the park's suitability, particularly during colder weather.
Several reviewers have expressed considerable dissatisfaction with the water service at Williams RV Park during freezing temperatures. One guest, who stayed for about a month and a half, acknowledged that the manager, Jerry, is "very nice and helpful." However, this positive aspect was overshadowed by issues with the water line. The reviewer expressed a wish that the owner would take measures to prevent the water line from freezing or from shutting it off when temperatures drop below freezing. This guest reported going without showers for three days to conserve water for essential needs like bathroom use, cooking, and washing dishes, and eventually ran out of water entirely. They conveyed their frustration with the owner's alleged inaction, stating that "there is nothing she can do."
Another reviewer echoed these concerns, emphasizing that their contract did not mention water being turned off during low temperatures. They also pointed out that the water froze between the meter and the first camper spot, and that even those with heated hoses experienced frozen water. This suggests a systemic issue with the park's water infrastructure in cold weather, beyond individual campers' equipment. This reviewer also raised a significant contractual issue, stating that while monthly charges ($450) were inclusive of electricity and water, the owner reportedly claimed it was not their responsibility to ensure campers had water. This led to the reviewer paying for a full month but leaving after only nine days due to being without water for six of those days, without receiving a refund for the remaining period. They also noted that the contract did not mention a no-refund policy. The reviewer concluded by expressing a negative opinion of the owner's care for the residents and advised others to avoid staying at the park.
A third reviewer, claiming extensive experience with RV parks, corroborated the issues with the water system. They described the owner as "young and dumb" and recounted personally assisting the person in charge of the park in covering and insulating hydrants and hookups in an attempt to prevent freezing, but to no avail. This suggests that even proactive measures taken by park staff and residents were insufficient to overcome the infrastructure limitations. This reviewer strongly criticized the owner's business practices, stating that failing to provide advertised services (water) should necessitate a refund for the portion of services not received.
The most severe assessment came from another reviewer who stated unequivocally that "This place is not equipped for winter stay or otherwise" and strongly advised against renting any space at Williams RV Park. They described the living conditions as "below standards" and accused the owners of prioritizing profit over the well-being of residents. This reviewer gave the park a one-star rating only because the platform required it, stating they would otherwise rate it with "NO STARS!" This feedback paints a concerning picture of the overall living conditions and the management's responsiveness to essential infrastructure issues.
Considering these consistent and serious complaints regarding the water service during cold weather, potential guests searching for "RV parks near me" in Pocola, OK, should exercise extreme caution when considering Williams RV Park, especially if planning a stay during the fall, winter, or early spring when freezing temperatures are possible. The lack of reliable water service, despite it being included in the monthly charges according to one reviewer, and the alleged lack of responsibility taken by the owner to rectify these issues, are significant red flags.
The reviews do not provide much information about other potential amenities or the general environment of Williams RV Park. The focus is overwhelmingly on the negative experiences related to the water supply in cold weather. Therefore, it is impossible to offer a balanced perspective on the park's overall services and features based solely on this feedback. There is no mention of Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, restroom and shower quality, site sizes, pet policies, or any recreational areas. The absence of positive feedback on these aspects, coupled with the severe water issues, further suggests potential shortcomings.
Furthermore, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The experiences shared are purely cautionary, highlighting significant problems that potential guests should be aware of. The lack of refunds for services not rendered, as mentioned by one reviewer, is also a serious concern regarding the park's business practices.
In conclusion, while the manager, Jerry, is acknowledged as nice and helpful, the overwhelming theme in the recent reviews for Williams RV Park in Pocola, OK, is the severe and unresolved issue with the water supply during freezing temperatures. Multiple reviewers reported extended periods without water, despite paying for it, and expressed dissatisfaction with the owner's response to these problems. One reviewer went as far as to strongly advise against staying at the park altogether, citing substandard living conditions. Potential guests searching for "RV parks near me" in the Pocola area are strongly urged to consider these recent experiences and potentially seek alternative accommodations that can ensure reliable access to essential services, especially water, throughout their stay.

Williams RV Park Reviews
The manager Jerry is very nice and helpful but I wish the owner would do something to better their water line to prevent it from freezing or to stop shutting off the water line when it’s below freezing. We went 3 days now without shower to save the water for bathroom, cooking and washing dishes and now we’re tapped it’s just frustrating 😫. Because the owner says there is nothing she can do.Absolutely nowhere in the contract does it mention that the water gers turned off during low temperatures. Also the water froze between the water meter and the first camper spot. Nobody had frozen hoses that had heated hoses. Also the monthly charges are inclusive of electric and water, but this ignorant woman says it isn't their responsibility to make sure the campers have water. We paid for a full month ($450) and were there for 9 days and left because we were without water 6 days of it and was not refunded the remaining monthly charge. Nowhere in the contract does it mention no refunds. (FYI) This woman doesn't care about the people that are at her park and if you are so unfortunate to have to stay there you will understand what I'm talking about.BTW, I'm very familiar with rv parks and have been staying at them for years, probably more years than she is old, lol. Young and dumb is what comes to mind, I went as far as helping the person in charge of the park cover and insulate each and every hydrant/hookup to assure that we could keep our water that we paid for but that didn't make any difference. If you don't give what you advertise, refund the person that you've shorted, one of the simplest rules of business...I can't believe that it doesn't register to do the right thing.
Jan 25, 2024 · The FlemingThis place is not equipped for winter stay or otherwise. I seriously suggest NOT RENTING ANY SPACE FROM THIS PARK. The living conditions are below standards. They have continued to line their pockets and profit off of people who don't know their true intentions. I only gave them 1 star because it won't let me post unless one is selected. I rate them with NO STARS!
