Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's Introduce
Looking for "RV Parks Near Me" that promise a fun-filled and relaxing getaway for the whole family? Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's, located at 626 Richard Wright Rd, Tabor City, NC 28463, USA, is a destination that aims to provide just that. You can reach them at (910) 653-2155 or +1 910-653-2155 for reservations and inquiries. Based on recent customer reviews, this Jellystone Park offers a friendly atmosphere and a range of amenities, though the availability of some may vary depending on the season.
The environment at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's is described as "very relaxing," suggesting a peaceful setting where guests can unwind and enjoy their time outdoors. The campsites are reported to be "well-spaced," which is a significant advantage for RVers who appreciate having enough room and privacy between sites. This layout can contribute to a more comfortable and less crowded camping experience.
One of the standout features of this RV park is the variety of amenities it offers, particularly appealing to families with children. According to customer reviews, the park boasts both "indoor and outdoor pools," providing opportunities for swimming and water-based fun regardless of the weather. The presence of a "rec center" suggests a dedicated space for activities and entertainment, although its operating hours may be seasonal. Mini-golf is also mentioned, offering a classic family-friendly activity.
For convenience, the park has a "camp store" that is described as "nice with things to help your camping needs." This can be invaluable for forgotten essentials, snacks, and souvenirs. Additionally, there's an "Ice cream place" that is highlighted as "awesome," perfect for treats on warm days. For quick and easy meals, the park has a "small restaurant" that is noted for its fast and nice service, especially convenient for those on the go. The "funnel cake fries" are specifically recommended as "tremendous," suggesting a unique and tasty treat available at the restaurant.
The cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities are also positively mentioned, with reviewers noting that "The restrooms were very clean and well attended to." This is an important aspect for any campground, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic experience for guests.
The staff at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's consistently receive high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness. Reviewers describe the "camp staff" as "very polite and helpful" and the overall staff as "very friendly and accommodating." One updated review specifically emphasizes the staff's dedication to guest satisfaction, noting their personal check-ins and follow-through on efforts to improve the stay. This positive interaction with staff can significantly enhance the overall camping experience.
However, it is crucial to consider a significant point raised in one of the reviews regarding the availability of amenities, particularly during the off-peak season. One guest who visited during spring break expressed disappointment that "nearly all of those amenities would be closed since it was not peak season." They noted that while the park advertises a variety of amenities, this was the main draw for their seven-hour drive, the reality was that only the indoor pool was consistently open during the week. The rec center, mini-golf, general store, and creamery had weekend hours but were mostly unavailable. The Pic-a-nic basket (presumably another food option) was closed for the season. This experience led the reviewer to strongly recommend calling ahead to confirm which amenities are actually open if you are not visiting during the summer or other peak times.
While the park does have an app that provides operating hours, this information is only helpful once you have already arrived. The reviewer also mentioned that the self-serve ice machine in the general store was broken, further highlighting potential limitations during the off-season. Fortunately, a grocery store is located a short drive away, which helped compensate for the closed general store.
This detailed feedback suggests that while Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's offers a wide range of appealing amenities, their availability is likely seasonal. Therefore, local users considering a visit, especially outside of the peak summer months, should be diligent in contacting the park directly to inquire about the operating hours and availability of specific amenities that are important to their stay.
Regarding promotional information, one reviewer mentioned attempting to receive points for their stay through the Jellystone Park system but encountered difficulties with communication and receiving a reply from the main website. This isn't a specific promotion offered by this particular park but rather an issue with the broader Jellystone rewards program. Local users who are members of such programs might want to inquire specifically with Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's about their participation and any associated procedures.
In conclusion, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's in Tabor City, NC, offers a potentially relaxing and fun-filled RV camping experience, particularly for families. The park boasts well-spaced sites, friendly and helpful staff, and a variety of amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, a camp store, a restaurant, an ice cream place, and mini-golf. However, it is critical for potential visitors, especially those planning a trip during the off-peak season, to call ahead and confirm the availability of the specific amenities they are interested in to avoid disappointment. The positive aspects of the park, especially the staff and the range of offerings during peak season, make it a worthwhile consideration for "RV Parks Near Me" for families looking for a memorable camping adventure.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's Reviews
Don't expect to receive points for your stay! I called the jellystone I made the reservation at and they gave me a web page to the main place. Emailed my problem to them 4 days ago and received no reply! The campgrounds in it self was very relaxing and the camp staff were very polite and helpful. The camp store is nice with things to help your camping needs and the Ice cream place was awesome! The small restaurant they have is fast and nice for a quick meal if you are on the go all day! Funnel cake fries are tremendous. They also have indoor and outdoor pools. The restrooms were very clean and well attended to. Nice stay in Tabor city!
May 02, 2025 · Dominic DugoUpdated review at the end:Very friendly staff, well-spaced sites, good location—BUT… CHECK WHAT AMENITIES ARE AVAILABLE DURING YOUR STAY.We chose Jellystone Campground for our kids’ spring break, expecting a fun-filled week with them and their cousin. The park advertises a variety of amenities, which was the main draw for us, making the seven-hour drive seem worthwhile. However, what wasn’t clear when booking was that nearly all of those amenities would be closed since it was not peak season. The park’s app provides operating hours, but that’s only helpful once you’re already there. During our stay, the only amenity consistently open during the week was the indoor pool. The rec center, mini-golf, general store, and creamery had weekend hours, but were unavailable most of the time. The Pic-a-nic basket was closed for the season. Fortunately, there is a grocery store a short drive away, which helped make up for the closed general store (self-serve ice machine was broken).Throughout the week, we saw not just our own kids but many others wandering around, visibly bored. It was clear their experience wasn’t what they had been expecting. I’m sure this place is great in the summer, but in the spring, it’s much quieter. While the campground itself is nice, if you’re not visiting during peak season, I’d strongly recommend calling ahead to confirm what’s actually open.Update: I want to emphasize how friendly and accommodating the staff was. They personally checked in to see how they could improve our stay and followed through on their efforts. They also cleared up some incorrect information we initially received from another staff member earlier in the week. While I still recommend calling ahead before booking during off-peak times, I truly appreciate the staff’s dedication to guest satisfaction. Knowing what we do now, we may consider returning in the summer to experience everything the campground has to offer.
Mar 20, 2025 · Mike RenzaWe had the best stay! Staff is so friendly and the park is beautiful! We were lucky enough to get the snowbird rate. The laundry and bath houses were clean. Went to Myrtle beach a few times. Can’t say enough nice things about it but we want to come back every year
Feb 02, 2025 · Vicki SheetsWe were in need of LP while dry camping at Lake Waccamaw. I called and was told that the campground did have LP and where to pull in when we got there. We drove almost an hour only to be told by the front desk that if we weren't camping there, they would not fill up our tank. We would have gladly paid an extra fee plus paying their price for the LP but they would not budge from their (in my mind) crazy policy. Little to say, we would never entertain the idea of ever camping with them.
Apr 20, 2025 · Wendy Coats' ShipwashAbsolutely repulsed that they charged us $200 a night with a 2 night minimum only for EVERYTHING to be closed exct the indoor pool and miniature golf but there were no balls. They need to be clear on the site that all activities, food and general store will not be open until summer.
