Apple Jack's 21 Cabins RV Campground Introduce
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Eminence, Missouri area, Apple Jack's 21 Cabins RV Campground, located at 15970 Eagle Falls Way, Eminence, MO 65466, USA, presents itself as an option offering both cabins and RV campsites. However, it is crucial for potential visitors to be aware of significant concerns raised in recent customer reviews regarding the campground's management, customer service, cleanliness, and the accuracy of advertised amenities. These reviews paint a concerning picture that local users should carefully consider before making a reservation.
One recurring theme in the negative feedback is the difficulty in communication and the inconsistency in information provided by the campground staff. One reviewer detailed a frustrating experience from the initial reservation to arrival. They reported significant issues with getting phone calls returned, changes in payment policies without prior notification, and a failure to receive promised confirmations and campground maps. This lack of clear and reliable communication can lead to considerable stress and uncertainty for campers planning their trips. The inability to reach staff by phone to resolve issues upon arrival further exacerbates these concerns.
The check-in process also appears to be problematic, with one guest noting a lack of signage indicating where to check in and missing campsite numbers. This can create confusion and delays, especially for those arriving after a long journey. The experience of another couple whose standard-size RV struggled to fit in their assigned space, coupled with the absence of available employees to assist, suggests potential issues with campsite sizes and the overall organization of the campground. The fact that these guests also could not reach anyone by phone and had to resort to texting highlights a significant breakdown in customer service.
Furthermore, the physical environment of the campground, particularly for tent campers, raises serious concerns. One reviewer described their private tent site as being near a "scary junk yard/shed" and a "questionable looking cage" that evoked unsettling thoughts. This description suggests that some areas of the campground may not be well-maintained or aesthetically pleasing, potentially detracting significantly from the camping experience and even raising safety concerns. The lack of clear instructions regarding trash disposal adds to the impression of poor management and a lack of attention to guest needs.
Cleanliness is another major issue highlighted in the reviews. One guest who stayed in a cabin reported finding a "dirty cloth on floor next to bed" and a "dead bug surrounded by ants." These observations indicate a lack of proper cleaning between guests, which is unacceptable, especially considering the reported high prices. The failure to address reported issues, such as a non-working TV, further underscores a lack of concern for guest comfort and satisfaction. The fact that no refund or reduction in the bill was offered upon checkout, despite these issues being reported, suggests a dismissive attitude towards customer complaints.
Perhaps the most concerning aspect raised in the reviews is the misrepresentation of amenities. One guest was explicitly told on the phone that a hot tub had a replacement part ordered and would be repaired in time for their visit, only to discover upon arrival that there was "not even a hot tub there!!" This blatant inaccuracy is a serious breach of trust and indicates a willingness to provide false information to secure bookings. It also highlights a significant lack of transparency regarding the actual facilities available at the campground.
Given these overwhelmingly negative experiences reported by recent customers, local users searching for "camping near me" should exercise extreme caution when considering Apple Jack's 21 Cabins RV Campground. The issues raised are not minor inconveniences but rather fundamental problems related to customer service, communication, cleanliness, and the accuracy of advertised amenities. These factors can significantly impact the quality and enjoyment of a camping trip, potentially turning a relaxing getaway into a stressful and unpleasant experience.
Promotional information is entirely absent in the provided data, which, in light of the negative reviews, might be understandable. Potential visitors are strongly advised to seek alternative campgrounds in the Eminence, MO area that have a more positive track record of customer satisfaction and reliable service. The Ozark region offers numerous other camping options known for their beautiful environments and well-maintained facilities. Local tourism resources and online camping directories can provide information on these alternatives.
The phone numbers provided, (573) 226-6667 and +1 573-226-6667, offer a means of contacting the campground directly. However, given the reported issues with communication, it is uncertain how effective this will be in resolving concerns or obtaining accurate information. Potential visitors who still wish to inquire should be prepared to ask very specific questions about the current condition of the facilities, the check-in process, payment policies, and the availability of advertised amenities, and to seek clear and written confirmations whenever possible.
In conclusion, while Apple Jack's 21 Cabins RV Campground is located in the scenic area of Eminence, MO, the recent customer reviews raise significant red flags regarding its management, customer service, cleanliness, and the accuracy of its representations. Local users searching for "camping near me" are strongly advised to carefully consider these negative experiences and explore alternative campgrounds in the region that have a more positive and reliable reputation. The potential for a disappointing and frustrating camping experience at Apple Jack's 21 Cabins RV Campground appears to be substantial based on the provided feedback.

Apple Jack's 21 Cabins RV Campground Reviews
From beginning to end was not easy to deal with. Hard to get anyone to return your phone call. Initially when I made reservation the older lady said pay upon arrival. Spoke again to ask if I can check in early, they said not a problem. One week before, they call saying we HAVE to pay for camping immediately. Seemed sketchy but did it anyways. Confirmed an early check in, again. They were supposed to send me a receipt and map of campground. Never received it. Upon arrival there are no signs to show you where to check in. Campsite number missing. Spoke w another couple, their standard size RV was struggling to fit in their space, they too could find no employees. No one answering phone so I texted. Got a rude response saying we are early, check in at 3. Person will not answer phone calls to figure this situation out. No idea what to do w trash at the end. Tent camping, though private, was near a scary junk yard/shed and a questionable looking cage that you wonder if it’s for dogs or humans. Definitely going back to Eminence. Definitely picking a different campsite.
Aug 04, 2024 · Andrea AlbertsCan’t recommend. Dirty cloth on floor next to bed. Dead bug surrounded by ants. Very pricey and not very clean. Reported TV not working, no one ever came to fix it. Reported all at time of check out, no refund or reduction in bill offered. Also was told on the phone that hot tub had replacement part ordered and should be repaired in time for visit. There was not even a hot tub there!!
Aug 05, 2021 · Susan GrimmHad the most peaceful wonderful time!! Full hook up and no problems! No one to bother us!Right on the river! Went up the road for dinner at RS Steakhouse for supper. Food and service was great! Homemade ice cream was amazing! We will be back!
Jul 01, 2023 · Heather SegrestBeautiful place! Rented a beautiful 4 bedroom cabin that was absolutely perfect for the 4 couples in our party. Very close to the river and the hosts Dean and Erma are amazing! They are just opening things up and if we needed anything they provided it for us. We are already planning to return next year and hope to stay longer!!! Thanks Apple Jacks 21!!
Jul 19, 2021 · Angi AllphinWe had a great float and stay at Applejacks. I booked camper 5 and 6 without photos, map of campground, or any inclination of what I was getting into. No description of amenities needed or where the campers were located in relation to the river. I took a chance because we needed somewhere to stay. Could not get anyone on the phone multiple times. Took 2 emails before I got a reply. Campers were in full sun about 100 yards from river. No rock/sandbar to hang on. Water heater and pilot lights were not on. No linens. 1 toilet paper roll. No dish rag or towels. No plates, silverware, skillet, etc. There was literally nothing in this camper except for a toilet paper roll, coffee maker and 2 pillows. I emailed prior to arriving asking all these questions and it went unanswered. Phone also. All that being said, I would book here again but the communication and advertising needs to be addressed.Their best asset is the bar area. Large open air bar overlooking the river unlike anything else down there. That would be a huge selling point if advertised better. There is also no brick oven pizza as mentioned on the site.
