Back Bay Campground & Cottages Reviews
My son rented a cottage here for a surprise reunion. We loved it. The owner was awesome and very accommodating. Secluded spot but close enough to everything. We rented a boat for the morning and she let us to take it out the night before so we could see the sunset from the lake. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed except sheets, pillows and covers. It was roomy and right on the lake. Perfect place to unwind. I recommend this place very highly.
Oct 04, 2022 · Phil OGreat place friendly atmosphere, amenities are all there (primitive camping, electric/water/sewer). You can either tent it or glamp it but the fun is all there. It is the campground you go to for the fishing, swimming, having fun with the kids, or the sitting around a camp fire conversation. It is all here, my wife and I had a great time this weekend, thanks to all.
Aug 02, 2020 · Jessie ScheerHad a great week at Backbay! Cabin was clean and recently updated. Staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful, made our stay so welcoming and comfortable! Can’t wait to back up next year!
Jul 13, 2024 · Erin BishopGreat place to camp! Our first time camping there and we were so impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone was. Loved having the full service and store right on site!
Jul 08, 2024 · Anne ReynoldsThis place is a joke. We were only 1 of 2 people camping here. I specifically asked for a waterfront spot so we could go on the dock and fish, as we have someone with a bad back that CANNOT do a lot of walking and stairs. We got the waterfront site but it is 70ft straight up. The only way to get to the water is to hike up and down 70 ft of stairs, very dangerous stairs! Many are soft or missing. If you have small children, don't rent the waterfront RV sites as there is nothing to preventing them from the 70 ft drop. So we paid the extra money for a golf cart to get to the main docks only to discover that the ride down to the main docks was on a gravel, pothole filled road, and not a path. Imagine that bouncing with a bad back! I also paid over $100 to dock our boat but had to leave it at the main dock to be able to access it. If you don't have a camper with a shower, be prepared to pay $2.00 for a 6 minute shower in a spider/ insect infested shower stall. Really? I paid over $400 for the week. I expect more than this. It was quiet and peaceful as we pretty much had the whole park to ourselves. But certainly not worth $400/week. A woman named Pam, in the main office, and her husband Randy were very sweet and helpful. Owner comes across as a bully. Not pleasant at all. Even the one day when she walked down to the end of the dock to see what we were doing. This was after she had stopped and inspected our boat. This was the female owner. I would have much rather have dealt with her husband Dave, but he was nowhere around for the 8 days when we were there.
