Jul 10, 2023 · James JohnsonMy husband Chadd & I spent our 15th Wedding Anniversary at Bear Bottoms Chalet. This was the perfect way to spend some quality alone time together and reconnect after what we all know has been a terrible year. We were there for 7 days (nowhere near long enough), the views in the morning were spectacular. The stars at night from the hot tub, romantic & stunning. Nights in front of the fire pit, memorable and quite warm. In fact we were laying together and we fell asleep. Good thing no bears decided we looked like a good dinner!!This Chalet has Everything you will need for your stay! I packed like we were moving because I was unsure of what all they had but 90% of what I packed we didn't even unpack because they had it all. Kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, cooking utensils, the only thing that we could have used that we didn't find was a meat thermometer. With everything else they provided it didn't matter. They even had a washer and dryer. The Chalet was beautifully decorated, you felt right at home, super clean. The one thing I was a little worried about was the drive up to the cabin. I am not a fan of the drop offs and Chadd hates hights. The drive was truly not bad. We made sure we got there in the day light so we could see what to expect.7 days was not enough time. I was so sad to be leaving.. We will definitely be coming back to this little slice of heaven. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!If you are looking for a secluded, romantic, quiet getaway with beautiful views, lots of things to do and see. Look into Bear Bottoms Chalet. A absolute must!!
May 15, 2021 · Sabrina OtyThis was the perfect time get away! The chalet is decorated beautifully and makes you feel at home. The bed is comfortable. The upstairs kitchen, living area and deck had everything we needed. The outdoor kitchen was great too! I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.
Aug 07, 2016 · Brandy GonzalesUpon arriving at the cabin that is rated 4.83 stars and immediately realized that it is in need of serious repair. The master bed is located directly in front of the electrical closet closed off only by a hanging sheet. The upstairs was completely unusable due to floorboards being ripped up, exposed nails, and broken railing pieces making it a safety issue/risk for falls for both ourselves and our pets. There is also a bug infestation of multiple kinds upstairs which includes the kitchen. It was very obvious the cabin had not been cleaned as we found dirty socks, dirt on floor, marijuana stems, stains on the couches, and obvious pet hair and a pet collar. We were refunded a cleaning fee of $90 out of almost $1500 and the merchant or Airbnb refused to refund anything else which is ridiculous considering we couldn’t even stay there the entirety of our trip due to the safety issues.
Feb 02, 2022 · M HBear Bottoms Chalet was a wonderful cabin nestled up off of Baines Mountain road. My wife and I spent our honeymoon there this past week. There was a full kitchen upstairs, and living room, as well as a grill and stove range outside by the hot tub. We enjoyed our time there with only one drawback; The main entrance and sleeping area is downstairs with two outside entrances that open directly into the bedroom. I know this sounds odd, but for people with anxious tendencies it was a bit unnerving having two outside doors that open directly into the bedroom and a constantly locked closet was also a bit unsettling. Either way, the location was amazing and there were plenty of amenities to make the location very cozy as well as a beautiful view. Amenities include; hot tub, outdoor kitchen, firepit, two decks, two fully equipped restrooms, and full kitchen.
