Black House Mountain Campground Reviews
We were just up at blackhouse Mountain Campground last weekend. As always, it is a wonderful place to stay, then. The people are so accommodating.. Yes, a few trails are close for matenance. However, we find one that we haven't explored. This trail has been unused..It was both challenging and beautiful. A day trip, we left early and got back right before dark. It was a beautiful ride!
Oct 28, 2024 · Cheryl DavioSeen the most amazing views as the leaves are changing colors for fall weather. Black House Mountain campground was fantastic. Nice and clean and the staff are true sweet people. They are willing to help anyone out and not nickel and dime people. Thanks for an awesome stay!!
Oct 20, 2024 · Holly MurphyThis place lacks ethics and integrity. A group of my family and friends had a trip planned to Pickett and after hearing of the shutdown of the riding area we called the campground where our reservations were to find out if we should expect the shutdown to extend into our reservation date. We were assured the campground would call the guests and work with them to cancel their reservations "if" that were to happen. On 9/20/24 it was announced that the shutdown would extend to February of 2025. We called this campground the next morning 27 days before our trip and tried to cancel our reservations only to be met with a strict enforcement of their 30 day cancellation policy (50% refund). This cost my family and friends between $600-$700 and we still had to find another destination/campground and come out of pocket for the costs.Save your money and go elsewhere and drive further if you have to in order to avoid small businesses that don't stand behind their word or do the right thing.

Mar 24, 2025 · Kenn NeelyCamp ground was clean, bath house was clean, had ice, fire wood, pressure washer all available and full hooks ups for RV. They had several cabins on site that looked nice. No complaints.
