Based on recent feedback from campers, Blake McNeil Campgrounds is highly regarded for its scenic location and the quality of its campsites. One visitor who "just got back from this beautiful spot!" highlighted that there are "lots of sites on the water." This is a significant draw for those who enjoy having direct access to the water for recreation or simply for the tranquil views. The same reviewer also mentioned the cost for non-electric sites, stating it was "$20," which appears to be quite reasonable for a waterfront location. It's important to note their policy of "no reservations," which means that securing a site might require some flexibility, as suggested by the reviewer who found going mid-week less busy.
Another camper expressed their strong affinity for the campground, stating, "Love this campground!" They particularly praised the spaciousness of the sites, noting, "The sites are bigger than most," which can greatly enhance the comfort and privacy of your camping experience. For those lucky enough to secure a waterfront site, there's an added bonus: "if you get a water site you have your own beach!" This unique feature of having a private beach area directly at your campsite is a significant highlight, offering unparalleled access to the lake and a more secluded experience.
The natural environment surrounding Blake McNeil Campgrounds also receives high praise, with one reviewer describing "The lake" as "absolutely beautiful and perfect for our canoe!" This indicates that the lake is ideal for paddling and enjoying the water at your own pace. The reviewer's anticipation of returning, "Going in about a week. Can't wait!" further underscores the positive impression this campground leaves on its visitors.
From these reviews, we can gather that the environment of Blake McNeil Campgrounds is characterized by a beautiful lake with numerous waterfront campsites. The presence of these waterfront sites, some even featuring private beaches, is a key feature. The lake itself is suitable for activities like canoeing. In terms of services, we know they offer non-electric sites at a stated price, though information on electric hookups or other amenities is not explicitly mentioned in these reviews. The no-reservation policy is a notable aspect, suggesting that site availability might vary, with mid-week visits potentially being less crowded.
The spaciousness of the campsites is another significant feature that contributes to a comfortable camping experience. While the reviews don't detail other specific amenities like restrooms, showers, or fire pits, the focus on the beautiful location and the quality of the individual sites suggests that the natural appeal is a primary draw.
For local users seeking "camping near me" with a focus on waterfront access and natural beauty, Blake McNeil Campgrounds appears to be an excellent option. The affordable price for non-electric waterfront sites, the spaciousness of the campsites, and the opportunity for activities like canoeing on a beautiful lake make it particularly appealing. The chance of having your own private beach at a water site is a unique and highly desirable feature.
However, potential visitors should be aware of the no-reservation policy and the possibility that the phone might not always be answered. Planning a visit, especially mid-week, might increase the chances of securing a desirable site. If you value direct access to a lake, ample space at your campsite, and the potential for your own private beach, Blake McNeil Campgrounds in Parishville, NY, is definitely worth considering. We recommend perhaps visiting the location directly to check for site availability, especially if you have a preference for a waterfront spot.
In conclusion, Blake McNeil Campgrounds offers a beautiful waterfront camping experience on a stunning lake in Parishville, NY. Its key features include numerous waterfront sites (some with private beaches), spacious campsites, and affordability for non-electric sites. Blake McNeil Campgrounds Reviews
Just got back from this beautiful spot! Lots of sites on the water. $20 for non-electric sites. No reservations and they don’t answer their phone so we just had to risk it, but going mid-week wasn’t super busy.

Jul 23, 2022 · Rebecca LaMoraBlake McNeil Campground is one of our favorite places. The sites are all large, and comfortable. The play ground for the children is good size, and safe.Fire pits at all sites. If you prefer electric sites, there are a few, it is a first come first serve campground. No Reservations!
