The environment surrounding Boulder Creek Campground is characterized by its location near Baker Lake and within the general vicinity of the North Cascades. This suggests a setting rich in natural beauty, with opportunities for enjoying the lake and the surrounding forested areas. Baker Lake is known for its stunning views of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker, and the area offers various recreational activities such as hiking, fishing, and boating. Boulder Creek Campground likely benefits from this picturesque environment, providing a tranquil setting for camping. One reviewer mentioned the proximity to "tons of other campgrounds nearby that have access to Baker Lake," indicating that the area is a popular destination for outdoor recreation and offers diverse camping options.
In terms of services and features, the reviews provide some specific details. One reviewer noted that the campsite map's depiction of the distance to campsite #10 was misleading, as campsite #9 was significantly farther from the parking area. This suggests that the accuracy of the provided map might be a point of consideration for those with mobility issues or carrying a lot of gear. The same reviewer also reported a lack of toilet paper in the restroom on their last day of an eight-night stay, even upon departure in the late morning. While this could have been an isolated incident, it highlights the importance of being prepared with personal supplies, especially for longer stays. However, the reviewer's overall sentiment of "not a bad campsite" suggests that the positive aspects outweighed this inconvenience.
A more detailed review focused on group site 1, describing it as "awesome" due to its spaciousness and the convenience of having a shared bathroom located at the edge of the site. The reviewer emphasized the privacy and seclusion of group site 1, noting that it is situated in a separate area from the other campsites and has its own entrance slightly past the main campground entrance. This information is particularly valuable for local users planning group camping trips and seeking a more private setting. The mention of "zero cell service up there" is also an important detail for visitors to be aware of, as it implies a true disconnect from digital communication and the need to plan accordingly for navigation and emergencies.
The features of Boulder Creek Campground appear to cater to both individual campers and larger groups. The availability of a spacious and secluded group site with a nearby shared bathroom is a significant advantage for group outings. For individual campsites, the general access to the Baker Lake area and the surrounding natural environment is a key feature, offering opportunities for hiking, exploring nearby campgrounds, and potentially lake-related activities. The mention of a campsite map suggests that there are designated sites, likely with basic amenities such as picnic tables and fire rings, although these were not explicitly detailed in the reviews. The availability of restrooms is also indicated, though the cleanliness and stocking levels might vary.
Promotional information for Boulder Creek Campground is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Campgrounds, especially those in popular recreational areas, often have websites or listings that might detail their amenities, fees, and reservation policies. Local users interested in Boulder Creek Campground should search online for the campground's official website or contact them directly using the provided phone number, (541) 338-7869 or the mobile number +1 541-338-7869, to inquire about rates, availability, and any special offers or policies. Given the popularity of camping near Baker Lake, it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially during peak seasons and for group sites.
The review mentioning the distance discrepancies on the campsite map suggests that it might be helpful to confirm the layout and distances with the campground management when making a reservation, particularly if the proximity to parking or other facilities is a concern. The information about the lack of cell service is crucial for planning purposes, as it may affect communication and navigation. Visitors should consider bringing maps, offline navigation tools, and making necessary communication arrangements before arriving at the campground.
In conclusion, Boulder Creek Campground near Concrete, WA, offers a camping experience in a beautiful area near Baker Lake. It appears to cater to both individual and group campers, with a spacious and private group site being a notable feature. While one reviewer experienced an issue with restroom supplies, the overall sentiment suggests a decent campsite. The discrepancy in the campsite map's accuracy is a point to be aware of. The lack of cell service indicates a more remote and disconnected experience. Local users seeking "camping near me" in this region should contact Boulder Creek Campground directly for detailed information on amenities, fees, reservations, and any specific guidelines to ensure a pleasant and well-prepared camping trip.

Boulder Creek Campground Reviews
Not a bad campsite but the campsite map makes it appear that #10 is the longest walk from the car but #9 was twice as far. My only complaint was no TP in the restroom on my last day of an 8 night stay. It still didn't have any when I left at 9:45 so I left a spare roll I brought just in case. Lol
Jul 15, 2024 · Bill MartinGroup site 1 is awesome! It's very spacious and has a bathroom at the site (it is shared with other sites, but it's at the edge of the group site). It's very private and secluded being in a separate area from the other camp sites. Make sure everyone in your group knows where it is as you don't turn in at the main entrance, it's just past it. There is zero cell service up there. We had an awesome weekend and would totally go back! Also there are tons of other campgrounds near by that have access to Baker Lake which was nice.
Sep 07, 2021 · Lindsie WattThis is totally our kind of campground - near-total shade, sites are far apart, with creek access AND a view of Mount Baker from the creek. The CG had a very primitive feel, and that's generally OK with us, but overall it gave the impression of being neglected and could use an update. We have a campervan and site 10's shallow "pullout style" parking spot right next to the road made us feel exposed (even though traffic was minimal). Site 10 has a 25-foot RV length limit. Our 20 ft campervan did fit, but I think someone with an actual 25 foot RV would say it's too tight. If you have a tent, it's a bit of a walk from the parking spot to the tent area, but I personally consider that a plus - you really feel alone out there. Side note that as we drove through we saw that Site 3 (a "back-in") looks extremely shallow and very much not level - I don't recall specifics of other sites except that most seemed to be not level and more geared toward tent camping. I have to confess that we ended up driving down the road a bit and staying at the Park Creek campground because its sites were more level, the creek was more accessible (from some but not all sites), the restroom was brand new, and there's a casual hiking trail (formerly FR1144) directly at the end of the campground.
Sep 04, 2024 · Emily GoodinA superb campsite tucked a bit above baker lake the campsites facing the river have access to it via very steep climbs, they are tenting sites only, unless you get the other side that has a bit of a drive in space (20 ft or less!). Camp8ng is amongst an old growth forest with huge trees towering above you they make for an amazing experience
Sep 10, 2022 · Stephan LukacOne of the more primitive sites, not having water, and just a vault toilet, but a great place to get away. The stream provides constant background noise if you like that sort of thing (which I do).
