With a contact phone number of (360) 942-8076 or mobile at +1 360-942-8076, this campground is accessible for inquiries and reservations. Based on recent customer reviews, Bruceport County Park & Campground stands out for its friendly host, beautiful setting, and availability throughout the year, including the winter months.
As a featured option within the "camping near me" category, Bruceport County Park & Campground provides a diverse range of camping experiences. The campground is organized into two distinct loops, catering to different preferences. For those seeking a more traditional and rustic experience, the dry sites are highly regarded. Some of these sites are nestled within dense trees, offering shade and privacy, while also boasting scenic views overlooking the bay. Imagine waking up to the tranquil sights and sounds of the bay, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Other dry sites are situated in the middle of the loop, characterized by grassy areas and scattered trees, providing a more open and communal feel while still offering a connection with nature.
Regardless of the type of dry site chosen, all are equipped with essential amenities to enhance your camping comfort. Each site includes a fire ring, perfect for cozy campfires and outdoor cooking, and a picnic table, providing a convenient space for meals and gatherings. While most of the dry sites are unserviced, it's worth noting that a limited number, just one or two, offer 110-watt electrical hookups. This is a valuable feature for those needing to charge devices or run small appliances while enjoying the more natural setting of the dry camping areas.
For campers seeking more convenience and amenities, Bruceport County Park & Campground also offers full hook-up sites. These sites provide connections for electricity, water, and sewer, making them ideal for RVs and those who prefer the comforts of home while on the road. While one reviewer noted that these full hook-up sites are somewhat small and located close to each other, they also mentioned that these should be adequate as long as the campground is not at full capacity. This suggests that even with closer proximity, the functionality of the full hook-ups is appreciated, especially for longer stays or those with specific RV requirements.
One of the standout features of Bruceport County Park & Campground, frequently praised in the reviews, is the quality of its bathroom and shower facilities. Visitors consistently describe them as "nice," indicating that they are well-maintained and clean, which is a significant factor for overall camping satisfaction. The women's bathroom is reported to have two stalls with flush toilets and a separate area containing a free hot shower. The men's side offers a similar setup with one stall, a urinal, and a separate hot shower area. The availability of free hot showers is a significant amenity that elevates the camping experience, especially during cooler months or for longer stays. One helpful tip shared by a reviewer is that the hot water in the women's shower turns to the right, which can save other users from initial confusion.
The positive interactions with the campground host, Becky, are consistently highlighted in the reviews. Her friendly and accommodating nature contributes significantly to the welcoming atmosphere of Bruceport County Park & Campground. One reviewer specifically mentioned her being "very cool" and another described the host as "super friendly and accommodating," even allowing a choice of several spots upon arrival on a Tuesday evening. This level of hospitality can greatly enhance a camper's experience and makes visitors feel valued and well-cared for.
For those who need to stay connected, even while enjoying the outdoors, Bruceport County Park & Campground offers reasonable cellular service. One reviewer reported two bars of T-mobile service, which was sufficient for streaming Netflix on a Roku TV and achieving a hotspot speed of 14 Mbps with a VPN enabled. This level of connectivity can be a significant advantage for travelers who need to work remotely, stay in touch with family, or simply enjoy some online entertainment during their downtime.
Bruceport County Park & Campground's willingness to remain open during the winter months is another notable feature that caters to local users who enjoy camping year-round. Finding a well-maintained campground open in January, as one reviewer experienced on January 3, 2025, is a significant benefit for those looking for winter getaways. This year-round accessibility expands the opportunities for local "camping near me" beyond the traditional summer season.
The environment surrounding Bruceport County Park & Campground is clearly a major draw, with multiple mentions of the beautiful bay views. The combination of wooded areas for shaded and private dry sites, and more open grassy areas also within the dry loops, provides a variety of settings to suit different preferences. The easy leveling for truck campers, as noted by one reviewer, suggests that the terrain within the campsites is generally well-maintained and suitable for various types of camping setups.
In terms of promotional information, the consistent positive feedback regarding the friendly host, clean facilities (especially the hot showers), beautiful bay views, and year-round availability serves as strong organic promotion for Bruceport County Park & Campground. The affordability, while mentioned only briefly, adds to its appeal for local users seeking value for their money. The fact that it's a "great find," as one reviewer enthusiastically stated, suggests that it offers a positive and memorable camping experience that encourages repeat visits.

Bruceport County Park & Campground Reviews
Found this place open in the winter jan 3 2025. Host Becky was very cool! There are 2 loops. The dry sites are very nice. There are some in dense trees with views overlooking the bay. And some in the middle of the loop with grass and trees. Fire rings & picnic tables on all. Only 1 or 2 sites with 110w. There are some full hook-ups. Thay are small and next to each other but should be fine if the sites are not full. Bathrooms and showers are nice. We decided to stay longer! T-mobile has 2 bars. We streamed netflix on our roku TV easily. Hotspit was 14 mbps with VPN on.Thanks for being open in the winter!😁👍🏻
Jan 04, 2025 · D MGreat find!! We pulled in on a Tues evening hoping for a spot. The host was super friendly and accommodating. We had a choice of several spots, too. We are in a truck camper and were able to easily level off. We had a great view of the bay. The women’s bathroom had 2 stalls with flush toilets and a separate area inside with a free hot shower. The men’s side had a stall, urinal and separate area inside with the shower. Note that the hot water was turning to the right on the women’s side. Great experience and we will be back!
Sep 11, 2024 · Traci SchuckWhat a wonderful campground. We found the hosts George and Becky to be very friendly. The bathroom and shower were always clean. There is an easy path down to the water that is beautiful. We stayed 2 weeks in a 5th wheel with full hook ups. We will be back next year.

Aug 11, 2024 · Margit MOBReview for the hosts:Came at 10:11 pm looking for a place to stay overnight. Male camp host waved us down and said we had to pay before proceeding. We asked if we could look at the sites before deciding to stay or not. He seemed agreeable and was going to let us stay. Over intercom we hear a female voice from the trailer saying "Campground is closed."Unfortunately an extremely rude interaction and completely agree with the recent 1 star review. Was happy to leave. To the hosts, learn some respect for fellow humans, thank you.
