Chocorua KOA Holiday Reviews
We went for the long Labor Day holiday weekend and had side by side sites with my in-laws. Sites were well wooded but a little small, with a very tight exit for our in-laws with their 30ft tagalong camper.Lots of activities for adults, kids, and even the dogs. The large dog park was a nice addition and play area for our furry family members. There is a small convenience store in the park, nice walking trails, and views of the water. A nice place to visit.
Sep 04, 2024 · Dawn Calley MurdoughThis is a great campground for kids and families. There is a pool and daily activities for the kids. Plenty of walking areas and small park for the kids. The staff was always super friendly and available if needed. They deliver wood directly to your campsite. The only things that made me give a 4 star rating instead of 5 is that the sites are very small. We were originally put in one with our popup and didn't have room to open our awning. They did help us with that and we moved sites but most sites are small for the size camper they are supposed to accommodate. The bathrooms and showers are tiny. I am 5'4" and my knees almost touched the doors to the bathroom stalls when I sat down. It made it hard with having a 3 year old that still needs help in the bathroom. There was no room for both of us to be in the stall at once so I had to have the stall door open to help her which didn't allow privacy. The showers are also small. Again, not big enough if you need to shower a small child with you. I would give a 5 star rating if they were able to reconstruct the bathrooms and showers to be larger. But even with that issue, we would still return to camp again.
Jul 24, 2024 · Debi FieldPros and consPros, staff was all super helpful and niceLots to do, lots of activities for kids and adultsBeautiful atmosphere on lakeAlways had a community fire going which was greatCons, The roads in the campground are very tight might be challenging navigating a big camper but staff guides you.Our camper we rented did have a musky smell but after putting the AC on it helped. The public showers could use a really good scrubbing. Firewood is eight bucks versus 5 bucks off-site.It is located on a very fast stretch of road, so taking a left out of there was quite challenging. But really it was a fantastic day those are all small things.
May 28, 2024 · Mamabear 79I don’t recommend this koa ,the rode is really bad we had to take a corner three times before we made it through ,and we own a Honda van.The cabin is so close to neighbors that you don’t feel like sitting outside with the a fire, no privacy!!! The cabin is the owls roast and the fan has so much dust on it that I didn’t dare turn it on and the bathroom fan same thing .We paid almost 400.00 for 2 nights and we love camping but I thought at that price we expected more . Please fix your rode and clean the fans and maybe privacy panels for outside.thank you for the internet and easy check in and an additional exit would be nice
Sep 30, 2024 · Cherl HallI cannot say enough good things about this campground.!! The amenities were amazing, location was perfect to explore as well as had stores and restaurants nearby. My only complaint, thus only four stars, were the sites were not slabbed or stoned.. the grainy sandy dirt was into EVERYTHING.. now I know this is camping but we’ve not experienced such dirt and mud in the past.. otherwise fantastic place!!!
