Cozy Corner Campground & RV Park offers a serene environment for those seeking a quiet getaway or a long-term seasonal site. Situated at 115 1st St, Crystal Lake, IA 50432, USA, this campground provides convenient access to the natural beauty of the area. You can reach them at (641) 565-3333 or their mobile number +1 641-565-3333 for inquiries and reservations.
As a listing in the 'camping near me' category, Cozy Corner Campground & RV Park caters to a variety of camping needs. While primarily serving as a long-term and seasonal site location, it offers a peaceful atmosphere characterized by its mature trees, as noted by a reviewer describing it as a "Big Rig forest." The campground's proximity to Crystal Lake is a significant advantage, allowing for leisurely strolls to the water's edge.
Based on customer feedback, the campground offers a helpful park host, Bryce, who is commended for his assistance upon arrival. One reviewer recounted Bryce's efforts in guiding and positioning their 24' tow trailer on a newly graveled driveway. While the new gravel initially presented some leveling challenges, Bryce's proactive support in providing boards to stabilize the trailer was appreciated.
It's important to note that the campground appears to be primarily oriented towards long-term tenants. Reviews suggest that amenities typically expected for short-term travelers, such as individual fire pits and picnic tables at each site, may be limited or unavailable. Specifically, there are only two community fire pits, so campers desiring a personal campfire are advised to bring their own above-ground fire pit.
Navigating the campground at night requires some caution, as reviewers have pointed out the presence of water and sewer hook-up stubs that could pose a tripping hazard. The nearest store for supplies is located in Britt, indicating that campers should plan accordingly for their essential needs.
One customer shared a detailed experience highlighting some challenges encountered during their short stay. These included the movement of their trailer due to driveway access requirements and an incident while backing up their trailer, which resulted in damage. This reviewer ultimately did not recommend the park for travelers, citing the predominance of long-term residents and the lack of typical short-term camping amenities at their specific site.
Considering these points, Cozy Corner Campground & RV Park seems best suited for individuals seeking a quiet, long-term or seasonal camping spot near Crystal Lake. The helpfulness of the park host is a definite positive, particularly for those navigating the setup of larger RVs. However, prospective short-term campers should be aware of the limited amenities for transient guests and potential site-specific constraints. It is recommended to inquire specifically about the availability of fire pits, picnic tables, and the suitability of the site for your camping needs when making a reservation.
For local users in the 'camping near me' category, Cozy Corner Campground & RV Park offers a potentially peaceful retreat close to nature. If you are looking for a seasonal site to enjoy the Crystal Lake area over an extended period, this could be an option to consider. The quiet atmosphere and proximity to the lake are key features. However, if you are a short-term traveler seeking a more amenity-rich experience with individual site features, it would be prudent to discuss your specific requirements with the campground management prior to booking.
In summary, Cozy Corner Campground & RV Park provides a quiet, lakeside setting primarily catering to long-term and seasonal campers. While the park host is noted for being helpful, short-term visitors should be prepared for potentially limited amenities at their site and exercise caution while navigating the grounds at night. For local users seeking a long-term camping solution near Crystal Lake, reaching out to Cozy Corner Campground & RV Park at (641) 565-3333 or +1 641-565-3333 can provide more specific information about current availability and site features.

Cozy Corner Campground & RV Park Reviews
Nice place, very quiet, a Big Rig forest. Most spots are seasonal sites, short walk to Crystal Lake. Only 2 community fire pits so bring your own above gnd fire pit if you want a camp fire. At night, watch out for the water and sewer hook up stubs when walking. Closest store is in Britt.
Sep 08, 2020 · fzj801996The park host Bryce was very helpful. Upon arrival he arranged for us to park our 24' tow trailer on a gravel driveway then helped us get into our lot. It looked like it was new gravel. It was. Everytime our levelers went down, the gravel pushed down. Eventually Bryce brought over some 2x6's to put under the front levelers and that helped. With all our pads out, and the boards in place we were still significantly sloped back to frontThe next day they wanted to move the trailer to allow access to that driveway. Bryce used a skidsteer to move it over to a grassy area by an on-site house. All ok.The following day, we got ready to leave. We prepped the RV. One of our stacks of pads had sank down in the gravel 3 pads deep, the other was down 2 pads. I went over to prep the trailer only to find out blocked by a cat. 50 minutes later they got it moved. Park owner Dave was out there and said he would watch me back up to the trailer. So he went back to a point where I could see him. He stood there and watched me back my ladder rack right into the trailer hitch, never giving any signal to stop. Should have let my wife guide me back. His excuse later was, " I thought you could see it". The park is mostly occupied by long term tenants. At our site there was no room for a campfire or picnic table. Not recommended for travelers.
