You can reach them at (512) 581-9889 or their mobile number +1 512-581-9889 for inquiries and bookings. Based on the available customer reviews, Cub World offers a unique environment and a wide array of features specifically designed for Cub Scouts and their families, making it an ideal location for group outings and adventurous camping experiences.
The environment of Cub World seems to blend the accessibility of a well-maintained facility with the feeling of being immersed in nature. One reviewer noted that their campsite was "a short walk from the car but far enough away to feel like you were in the Backcountry." This suggests that Cub World provides a convenient setup for families, allowing for easy gear transport while still offering a sense of natural seclusion and escape from the immediate parking area. The presence of "tons of trails" further indicates that the surrounding environment is conducive to exploration, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors.
The services and features at Cub World are exceptionally diverse and cater specifically to engaging young Cub Scouts and their families. A key highlight is the presence of themed activity areas that promise adventure and learning. These include "a Fort with a BB Gun range" where scouts can learn marksmanship under supervision, and "a Native American village with an archery range," offering a hands-on experience with historical skills. These specialized areas provide structured and engaging activities that go beyond traditional camping.
Adding to the unique appeal is "a mine shaft with underground maze and sloosh." This feature sounds like an exciting and imaginative area for exploration and play, likely offering a memorable and perhaps slightly adventurous experience for the children. The inclusion of "a fishing dock" suggests opportunities for learning about fishing and enjoying time by the water, fostering an appreciation for aquatic environments. For more general recreation, Cub World also boasts a "playground" for younger children to enjoy active play and a "pavilion," which could serve as a gathering space for group activities, meals, or shelter.
The presence of a "pool" is a significant amenity, especially during the warmer Texas months, providing a safe and fun way for families to cool off and enjoy recreational swimming. The mention of "4 massive campsites" indicates that Cub World is well-equipped to handle large group outings, accommodating multiple families or dens comfortably. This reinforces its suitability as a primary location for group Cub Scout events.
However, it is important for local users to be aware of the responsibilities that come with using the facility. One reviewer explicitly mentions, "Just remember that you're responsible for cleaning the restrooms and policing your areas for trash." This indicates a communal approach to maintenance and cleanliness, where each group or campsite is expected to take an active role in keeping the facilities and their surroundings tidy. This fosters a sense of responsibility and respect for the shared environment among the users.
Considering the "camping near me" category, Cub World offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure and structured activities tailored for Cub Scouts and their families. Its proximity to Bastrop, TX, makes it a convenient option for local packs and families looking for a dedicated camping facility with engaging features. The combination of natural trails and specialized activity areas like the BB gun range, archery range, and mine shaft maze sets it apart from traditional campgrounds that might primarily focus on campsites and basic amenities.
The emphasis on group outings and the availability of four massive campsites make Cub World particularly attractive for local Cub Scout packs planning overnight trips or weekend adventures. The diverse range of activities ensures that there are options to cater to various interests and age groups within the scouting community. The facility seems designed to provide a comprehensive and memorable experience that combines outdoor skills, recreational fun, and group bonding.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information mentioned in the reviews. However, for local Cub Scout packs or families interested in booking Cub World, it would be advisable to contact them directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about group rates, availability, and any special packages they might offer for local scouting organizations. Cub World Reviews
Great facility for Cub scouts and their families. Our camp site was a short walk from the car but far enough away to feel like you were in the Backcountry
Jan 01, 2018 · possumkingA great location for group cub scout outings. There's a Fort with a BB Gun range, a Native American village with an archery range, a mine shaft with underground maze and sloosh, a fishing dock, playground, pavilion, and pool. Not to mention tons of trails and 4 massive campsites. Just remember that you're responsible for cleaning the restrooms and policing your areas for trash.
Jan 27, 2019 · Andrew BrownCubworld is an awesome place to attend day camp with your scout or camp with you pack/den. Tons of activities for all ages. Hiking, swimming, fishing, paddle boats, archery, BB gun range and of course the “mine shaft”...
