Dragoon Creek Reviews
Pretty nice and quiet place just north of town. I'm currently here 2 out of the 3 nights we're allowed to stay in a 30 day period. The Campground Hosts are nice people. The campground is very nicely setup and clean. The weekend can get pretty busy during the summer, first come fist served bases. Will stay again in the future if need be. 🤠It's $11.50 for a day pass or $40 for the season.
May 31, 2024 · Tony MitchGreat little hidden gem. There are tons of great spots to choose from right along the creek. Clean and quiet camping. There are plenty of easy to access bathrooms, and well maintained grounds. Great spot for a weekend getaway. Close to shopping for restocking, but tucked away in nature.
Jul 30, 2024 · Kris KingThis place is a gem! Close enough to town to not cost a fortune in gas, if you forgot something stores are close. But don't think it's not roughing it. The site is secluded and surrounded by nature. Trees galore, dirt floors on the sites. A wonderful creek right there, you can explore, or dip your feet, or even more as spots are damned off with rocks for a deeper areas that are a few feet maybe 3 or 4 deep with small waterfalls. I did not see any big wild life but there are a lot of little wild life to spot in and out of the water. It was very relaxing sitting outside listening to the creek babbling and watching some chipmunks run about. The host was friendly and did rounds through out the day and night. The sites were immaculate, equipped with fire pits. Large enough for even the biggest tent. Ours was a three room tent and it was more than accommodated on the site. There are bathrooms through out so you don't have to walk to far. I would recommend this place to anyone, there is even a handicapped site with ease of access for wheelchairs.
Aug 16, 2022 · Tracy LindquistPrimitive Campground+ Privacy: The privacy, especially on the lower campsites is awesome.+ Host: The host this year (June/July 2022) does a fantastic job!+ Water: There is one very efficient tap in the center of the campground on the side of campsites 1-12.+ Mosquitos: I got one bite in 3 nights, kids had none.- Vault Toilet: They are very clean, but didn't have disinfectant dispensers- 3-nights limit: Unfortunately, you can only stay 3 nights in a row within a 30 day period.- Water: A one or two more water lines would be great- Gray Water: There is no way on disposing gray water- River Access: Unfortunately, only a few campsites have river access
Jul 02, 2022 · Oli WidoCampground was in excellent shape. Camp host was very informative and was very helpful. Most camps have trails and easy access to the water. Me and my wife had an excellent honeymoon there and will be returning often
