Draper's Acres Campground Reviews
Lovely stay in a basic cabin pre and post Mount Marcy hike. Cabin was clean and basic essentials were perfect for heating up dinner and making coffee. Quite atmosphere. Road traffic can be a bit noisy but location related to area adventures is hard to beat! Beds were comfortable, bathrooms and showers were clean. Great communication with staff. We would stay here again.
Oct 01, 2024 · Tanya EastmanMy partner and I with our golden retriever just fined a five day camping trip here and we absolutely loved it!! The location is amazing, we came down to do some hiking and it is about 13 minutes at ADJ lodge and the 20 to Keene Valley so I highly recommend it as a home base! The bathrooms were quite clean and I really like that they were separated with your own shower and toilet, there were two close by to any of the campsites. We will be back next year for sure!
Jul 25, 2024 · Jodi GrantWe have been here multiple times. We love it here. It's our go to campground in the adirondacks. The staff is absolutely fantastic. The bathrooms are nice and the showers are hot. The campsites are awesome. Kind and very helpful. Amazing stargazing too!! Beautiful view out by the road.
Aug 04, 2024 · Gavin HayesFirst visit to the area, campground was perfect. Clean quite, lots of hikers but some families with kids, could here them playing on the swings heartwarming!! We were 2 with a dog and a scamp camper, our site was beautiful, hand picked by staff when we called and emailed, will be returning to this little gem. Did some hiking and visiting the sites, Very dog friendly community in Lake Placid check out fido website for the area. lots of restaurant and dog shopping fun.
Jul 16, 2024 · karenThis was a last resort booking for us as all other state parks and private campgrounds in the High Peaks were booked on Canada Day long weekend. Campsite with electricity and water was decent. Well located and easy check in. A bit of highway noise but fairly quiet. Cheaper than other options nearby. Only downside was the washroom facilities were awful. Never cleaned; stinky; no hot water or water pressure in the showers; toilets constantly clogged; broken showers; filth; degradation; garbage. A dishwashing sink that was there but not actually hooked up. TLDR: cheap, quiet, convenient BUT gross almost non-functional washrooms.
