Stayed here with my family in April- off season, so that may effect our experience. The staff was kind and helpful and most of the seasonal campers were friendly. We did have an incident with one man who was hanging out behind our camper late night which made me uncomfortable.The campground says its family friendly but I found the amenities for kids lacking. The "kids rec room" had two video games and some TVs. The indoor pool was great, and the outdoor pools looked really nice. The playground closest to us looked brand new and was beautiful, but was definitely geared towards younger kids. The second playground was better for older kids, but didn't have much. I'm sure there are more activities available during the actual camping season.Bathrooms were relatively clean, but smelled strange. The store had a lot of stuff but most of it looked out of date.Also of note, there are no sewer hookups for short term stays but they do offer pump out services for $15.It rained a lot while we were there, there isn't much for kids in the area so we did travel to Manchester to go to the See Science museum, which wasn't far away and was a good option for rainy day kids activities.

If you’re looking for that spring break trailer park vibe this is the spot for you! Rude ownership that can’t have a professional conversation without becoming visibly upset, constantly degrading their staff in front of campers prompting several to quit mid season. They have their favorites here, which the place is mainly seasonals, and if you’re not one of them they’ll involve themselves in their drama and everyone else is on the chopping block. Weekend after weekend of drunk debauchery until 2-3am. Teenagers drunk and speeding around in golf carts. Cops constantly present. The smell of weed consumes the campground to the point you feel like you’re at a Willie Nelson concert. Sites people are obviously living on full time in run down campers and junk strewn about. But watch out, don’t raise your voice or let your dog slip out or those are the reasons they’ll kick you out.The 2 brothers running the campground hide things from each other and they become enraged if you uncover their lies. Think good cop, bad cop scenario but without the other knowing. Rob the one running the office his go to is asking you to come in for a chat. But he doesn’t want to talk at all. He immediately will become agitated and flustered and begin reprimanding you for simply asking a question. Wayne who runs the grounds just wants everyone to like him so he enables versus enforcing the rules.The activities are sad and lacking. The pools are overcrowded and the only rules the ‘security’ enforces if they are there is not bringing your drink cup within 5 feet of the pool. But kids diving on top of people in a packed pool is totally ok. I’ve been to more campgrounds than I can count and this is the only one I’ve had such a negative experience at. The overall environment is just very toxic. Ownership needs to take some classes on customer service, employee management and how to manage a campground 101. Now insert Rob’s rude response below……….

We spent 2 summers here back to back and this review is a combination of both summers.Please note that this review comes from a place of disappointment and frustration with the experience we had as a work campers here. I must say that I have never encountered such a woefully unprofessional and unsatisfactory work environment before.From the moment we arrived for our first summer there I noticed a complete lack of organization and a strikingly dismissive attitude among the management team. It appeared that maintaining the campground and ensuring a positive experience for guests and workampers alike was not a priority. It is incredibly disheartening to see such negligence in a role that is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of a campground.The management's unprofessional behavior was evident in their disrespectful attitude towards workampers. Instead of fostering a helpful and collaborative environment, the management team consistently exhibited an air of superiority. It felt as if their main goal was to exert control and intimidation rather than fostering a positive and cooperative atmosphere.Communication was a significant issue throughout our time at the campground. Crucial information was often withheld or communicated poorly, which led to unnecessary confusion and frustration. It seemed as though the management team made little effort to provide clear instructions or answer our questions, resulting in a severely toxic work environment. Training was almost non-existent and the training we did get was done with an attitude of frustration most times.Furthermore, there was a lack of accountability from management for their mistakes or inadequacies. Instead of taking ownership and addressing issues promptly and properly, they resorted to placing blame on others or even attempting to cover up their failures. This level of unprofessional behavior only served to exacerbate the already stressful and chaotic work environment.Overall, our experience as a workampers at the friendly (not so friendly) beaver was nothing short of a nightmare. The disdainful and dismissive attitude displayed by the management team was unbecoming and completely unprofessional. It is distressing to see how poorly a campground, which should be a place of relaxation and enjoyment, can be governed by individuals who lack the basic qualities necessary for effective management.I implore you to seriously consider addressing the issues that plague your management team and the overall functioning of your campground. The negligence displayed during our time there not only affected our experience but also the experience of just about every other workamping couple that we met both summers there. People quit early both summers and arguments ensued which caused an even more stressful work environment and undoubtedly tarnished the reputation of the facility.In conclusion, While working at the campground, we felt like we were guinea pigs. The poor treatment and inadequate training made it challenging for us as employees. Unfortunately, this seemed to benefit management as they could use our experiences to improve the experience for future workcampers..Now the campground itself is pretty awesome. The weekend events are great, the water fight weekend was a blast and the haunted house is amazing. The indoor pool isn't really a heated pool but it's nice in there most times. The rest of staff besides the management were all wonderful and I would not mind working with them at any time.

Don’t stay at site 77 otherwise you’ll have drunk and loud RV neighbors all night.Friendly Beaver accidentally cancel our reservation from a pre-paid campsite purchase. So we got stuck with the not the greatest campsite for a tent.Was just looking for a more remote (and quieter) site. Not a look over of the glamping lifestyle of other people.

Very nice place . This is a large family owned campground. I called ahead and made a reservation. They had all my paperwork and a map ready to go for me when I arrived taped to the front door. They also has the firewood I ordered at the campsite. Nice clean restrooms and showers. I will definitely return with my family. Great Job Friendly Beaver.
