Jul 19, 2024 · Loni BentonAmazingly beautiful quiet secluded campground right along the upper south fork of the McKenzie River
May 20, 2023 · TwistedhippieQuiet, serene, river. This place is nearly perfect. It has pit toilets, no electricity, and the driveways are not huge. This makes for a more quiet campground. Many sites are large. It is an ideal set up for quiet with the river providing background music.Although it has a water pump, consider bringing your own water or a filter.
May 29, 2018 · Joe SageThis is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places on Earth. I have been camping here for more than 20 years. The wildlife I have seen here are birds, deer, frogs and squirrels. Once I caught a tiny fish that I threw back. There are some nice trails that lead into the Three Sisters Wilderness for some great hiking. The forest in the wilderness has a strange, quiet, ominous feeling; I call it the Forest of Fangorn. There are two pit toilets and a well with a hand-crank pump. I don't drink the water without filtering or boiling it any more; two incidents of drinking it unfiltered resulted in some uncomfortable digestive disturbances!I go here when I need some perspective on my life, and I have made some important life decisions while resting under the tall trees.
