You can reach them at (618) 375-0310 or +1 618-375-0310. Based on the available online reviews, let's explore the environment, services, and features of this KOA campground to help you decide if it's the right stop for your camping or travel needs.
One reviewer, while not specifically commenting on the camping or lodging aspects, shared their experience at "The Smokin' Pig," the on-site restaurant. This indicates a significant feature of the Grayville / I-64 KOA Holiday: a full-service restaurant available to guests. The reviewer tried several appetizers and a main course. They noted that the fried pickles and jalapeño poppers can be very hot, advising caution upon serving. While they found the first bite of the fried pickle disappointing due to the pickle sliding out, they mentioned being told the restaurant was a good place for steak, although they were hoping for a filet which wasn't on the menu (only ribeye). Their friend ordered the 16oz ribeye, which the reviewer found bland and needing more seasoning and char. However, they enjoyed their own choice, the spicy honey bourbon chicken, describing it as tender and well-paired with the sauce. They also tried the macaroni and cheese, which they felt tasted like a "knock-off brand" and was dried out, requiring the addition of A1 sauce for moisture. The sweet potato fries were described as chewy, as if frozen.
The restaurant's ambiance was noted as "ok," with plenty of seating and a "cool bar." The bathrooms were described as "neat and clean." The reviewer did offer some constructive feedback, suggesting a dusting might be needed and that the barrel tables could benefit from rotating tops for easier access to condiments. Despite some criticisms of the food, the presence of an on-site restaurant is a notable convenience for campground guests.
In contrast to the detailed food review, another customer described the Grayville / I-64 KOA Holiday as a "super nice campground!" This positive review highlights the presence of "many things to do" and reiterates the availability of a "full service restaurant on site." Additionally, this reviewer mentioned the presence of "put-put and an arcade!" These recreational amenities suggest that the campground aims to provide entertainment for guests of all ages, making it potentially family-friendly. The reviewer also specifically commented on the showers, noting that they are "single room," where you enter, lock the door, and find the shower, toilet, and sink all within that private space. This setup is often appreciated for the added privacy and convenience.
Combining these two reviews, we can gather that the Grayville / I-64 KOA Holiday offers more than just camping sites. It features a full-service restaurant, The Smokin' Pig, which has received mixed reviews regarding its food quality but offers the convenience of on-site dining. For recreation, the campground boasts a mini-golf course (put-put) and an arcade, providing activities for leisure. The shower facilities are designed for privacy, with each shower being in its own lockable room containing a toilet and sink as well.
While one review focused heavily on the restaurant, the other directly praised the campground and its amenities, suggesting a positive overall experience for campers. The mention of "many things to do" implies that beyond the restaurant, arcade, and mini-golf, there might be other features or activities available, though these are not specified in the provided reviews. As a KOA Holiday, it's also likely to offer standard KOA amenities such as various types of campsites (RV, tent, possibly cabins), Wi-Fi access, and potentially a camp store.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Grayville area, the Grayville / I-64 KOA Holiday presents itself as a campground with added conveniences and recreational options. The presence of a full-service restaurant on-site is a significant feature, allowing guests to easily grab a meal without leaving the premises. The mini-golf and arcade offer entertainment, particularly appealing to families. The private, single-room showers with a toilet and sink provide a comfortable and convenient amenity for campers.
While one reviewer had a somewhat critical experience at the restaurant, another found the campground "super nice," indicating that the camping experience itself might be well-regarded. If you are looking for a campground near Grayville that offers a range of activities and the convenience of an on-site restaurant, the Grayville / I-64 KOA Holiday is worth considering. It seems to cater to those who appreciate having recreational options and amenities like private showers readily available during their camping trip.
To get a more complete picture, local users might want to inquire directly about the types of campsites available, other amenities offered (like a pool, laundry, or Wi-Fi), and perhaps any current promotions. However, based on the provided reviews, the Grayville / I-64 KOA Holiday offers a blend of camping facilities and on-site entertainment, making it a potential "holiday" destination for those searching for "camping near me" with extra perks.

Grayville / I-64 KOA Holiday Reviews
I can not review the camping area as I did not go camping or stay in a room. Honestly, I'm not fully aware of everything that is at this location. However, I went to the restaurant The Smokin' Pig. I was excited to see they had fried pickles, so I had to try them. A warning if you do get fried pickles and jalapeño poppers to let them cool off! The cream cheese landed on my hand, and it was so hot it left a red mark. Also, if you don't let them cool off, you will not experience the full taste of the appetizer. My first bite of the fried pickle and the pickle slid right out, which was a disappointment because I wanted the pickle and the seasoned crunch at the same time. Anyway, I was told that this was a good place to have a steak, and I was hesitant after finding out they only have ribeye. I was hoping for a filet. My friend ordered the 16oz ribeye, and I decided on the spicy honey bourbon chicken. I did try a bite of the ribeye, and I wasn't impressed. It was actually bland. It needed more seasoning and char to really give it that grilled flavor. The chicken was tender and paired with the sauce very well. I also had maccaroni and cheese, which I did ask if it was in-house. It is not a knock-off brand, but it sure did taste like one. I was expecting a warm, gooey, creamy maccaroni, and it was dried out. I added A1 sauce to it to help add moisture. The sweet potato fries were chewy as if they were frozen. So the staff are nice, but what threw me off was that the theme at the restaurant didn't match with the staff. I just thought if you're really selling the old time western kinda thing, the staff would be dressed in the attire. I just thought it would be more fun that way and possibly more entertaining than people wearing normal clothing. The restaurant itself was ok, with lots of seating, a cool bar, the bathrooms are neat and clean. I don't mean to be a Gordon Ramsey, but if you look around, the place could use a dusting before it falls into your food. Side note: the barrel tables for seating would be beneficial if the top moved around like a Lazy Susan so everyone around the table could reach the condiments and such. I might give this place another try, on a different day and time.
May 01, 2025 · Tenebris SomniumSuper nice campground! There are many things to do and a full service restaurant on site. There is put-put and an arcade! The showers are single room, you go into the shower room and lock the door. Shower toilet and sink are all in there.
Feb 04, 2025 · Karen DukeWe didn't stay here, we came for the BBQ and for a stretch break. We ended up walking and driving around the site though and were so impressed by the layout and amenities. We did get ice cream and the gift shop had seasonal decor that I ended up purchasing. Staff were friendly and seemed to keep very busy managing site reservations and the gift shop.

Mar 21, 2025 · Linda AndreWow our stay over labor day weekend was amazing! We drove our 40 ft motorhome while pulling a trailer with our car and golf cart and the pull through spot was plenty big enough! Check-in was a breeze. The western theme was so cute. Our kids absolutely loved the playground. We did 18 holes of putt-putt. The golfing was the best/cleanest we have seen. Our kids did the the gem mining and had a blast. They could play and search for hours. We did the inside shooting range and it was fun for 1 time but honestly not something we would do again. Our site had water, electric and sewer. The bath house was very nice. They kept them clean. We were able to use our own golf cart to get around. There was a nice gas station you could walk or dive to. The Mexican restaurant close was amazing and also could walk/drive to. There is a restaurant inside the saloon and although it took a very long time to get our food, the food was very good! We really have nothing bad to say about this place. If we could reccomend anything, I would say a basketball court or a pickleball court would be nice. Even a swimming pool would be great!! But with out those things, we will still be back!
