Homeplace Recreational Park Introduce
For local users in Ararat, North Carolina, and the surrounding region seeking a "camping near me" experience that combines traditional camping with recreational amenities, Homeplace Recreational Park, located at 258 Homeplace Park Rd, Ararat, NC 27007, offers a unique destination. You can reach them at (336) 374-5173 or their mobile number, +1 336-374-5173, to inquire about campsite availability and the various activities they offer.
Based on recent customer reviews, Homeplace Recreational Park presents a mixed experience. One reviewer described their first night as "create and peaceful," highlighting the potential for a tranquil camping atmosphere. However, they also recounted a disruptive second night due to a loud, all-night birthday party with "blasted music," expressing concerns about the lack of consideration for sleeping campers. This feedback suggests that while the park can offer a peaceful environment at times, noise levels might be a concern, particularly during events or gatherings. Local users prioritizing quiet during their camping stay should inquire about the park's policies on noise and potential events when making reservations.
In contrast, another reviewer focused on the fun and recreational aspects of Homeplace Recreational Park. They noted that while prices have increased, they perceived this as a positive change resulting in fewer crowds. This suggests that the park might have become a more enjoyable experience for those seeking access to its amenities without excessive congestion. A significant highlight mentioned was the on-site grill, which serves freshly made food upon order. This adds a convenient dining option for campers who may not want to cook all their meals. The reviewer also enthusiastically described the recreational facilities, including a "great" rope swing, two diving boards in a 10-foot pool, and a water slide suitable for all ages. The pool's design, featuring a shallow, beach-like entry and a large water bucket that periodically dumps water, seems particularly appealing for families with children. However, this reviewer also cautioned about muddy conditions in the grassy seating areas around the pool, recommending that visitors bring towels for muddy feet or a small bucket of water to rinse off.
The environment of Homeplace Recreational Park appears to be centered around its recreational facilities. The presence of a pool with diving boards and a water slide suggests a focus on water-based fun. The mention of a rope swing indicates additional outdoor activities. While the reviews provide insights into the immediate areas around the pool and potential campsites, there is no detailed description of the overall natural setting. Local users might want to inquire about the surrounding landscape, such as whether the campground is wooded, open, or near any natural attractions, when contacting the park.
The services offered at Homeplace Recreational Park include campsites, access to the swimming pool with diving boards and a water slide, use of the rope swing, and an on-site grill serving freshly cooked food. The fact that prices have increased and potentially led to fewer crowds could be considered an indirect service improvement for those who value a less congested experience. However, the conflicting feedback regarding noise levels suggests that the park's management of events and noise might be an area of concern for some campers. Local users should clarify the park's policies on events, quiet hours, and noise management when booking their stay.
Key features of Homeplace Recreational Park seem to be its recreational amenities, making it more than just a traditional campground. The pool with diving boards and a water slide caters to a wide range of ages and provides a significant attraction, especially during warmer months. The rope swing offers another element of fun and outdoor activity. The on-site grill provides a convenient food option. The potential for a peaceful night's sleep, as experienced by one reviewer initially, could also be a feature, although it appears to be somewhat dependent on whether events are taking place.

Homeplace Recreational Park Reviews
The first night was create and peaceful. The second night they had a birthday party and blasted music all night. Do not camp here if you are trying to actually sleep. Really rude and disrespectful to have the music that loud and sell campsites to customers.
Oct 20, 2024 · Sebastian NicholsHomeplace is a lot of fun. The prices have increased but I feel that was a good thing because it is not as crowded as it used to be. The grill has good food, and it’s made when you order it, so it’s fresh. The rope swing is great, there are two diving boards in a 10 foot pool and there is a water slide that any age can enjoy. The shallow end comes up like a beach, and there is a huge bucket that dumps water every couple minutes. It can be muddy in the grass where you sit, so I recommend bringing a towel for muddy feet or a small bucket of water if you don’t want muddy foot prints tracked on your blanket or towels you lay on.
Jul 29, 2024 · Audrey StewartFor real hidden secret pool. I don’t even want to tell people how cool this place is. From the rope swing to the water slide. To having actual real food cooked on a real grill at a pool! And the grill food isn’t even normal pool trash food expensive!!! You can bring in your own cooler, chairs (they don’t have tables or chairs there unless you rent them.) or a giant blanket to spread on and sit on. There is not age or weight limit to use the water slide or pool. My 2.5 year old son went down the slide easily 30 times cause the line moved so fast and he was allowed to wear his float coat. It’s 45 minutes from our house and worth every minute of the drive. We stayed and had a blast for 4 hours. There are no mandatory pool breaks and the life guards are actually watching and are interactive with the guests. Great place. Will absolutely be going again. My husband asked why we would ever go to tanglewood pool again now knowing about home place pool. 10/10 recommend .👀just don’t tell everyone! Keep it a secret
Jul 07, 2024 · Gabrielle adamsIt is not big rig friendly! Roads are very narrow with hills and tight turns. Thank goodness there wasn’t a trailer behind us when we left.Campsites are gravel, not well kept with old picnic tables. Cows in the field by campsites so it smelled and there are lots of flies. It seems the put all their money into the pool and cater to the outsiders that come for the day.
Aug 05, 2024 · Brenda KnopfGreat place to take the family swimming. We have used their shelters for party's. The pool is awesome! A little something for everyone. Large shallow end for kids, diving boards, a slide, rope swing and large shady areas to relax.
