Horseshoe Bend RV Campground Reviews
We got a Great RV Spot, 35 feet from the North side of the Ohio River... The gentle sounds of the Big Tow Boats going up river, with their 15 Barge tows was Magical. The ones going down river can barely be heard, as they aren't working as hard, going with the flow of the river. The Camp Hosts were Exceptional, Very Helpful, Knowledgeable, and Friendly. The General Store in Leavenworth was also Excellent.
May 19, 2024 · Donald ColeyWe had a wonderful stay. Julie and John were so helpful! We were going to the Kentucky Derby and the bus we paid for canceled our reservations one week before the race! Julie went beyond to find another service to take us there. They worked hard at trying to accommodate us.The most beautiful grounds and stay..Thanks again,Jim and Kathy
May 28, 2024 · Kathy Acton OldakowskiWe recently traveled through the area and were captivated by its beauty. On a whim, we decided to check if there was an available site at the campground. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the unwelcoming and insulting behavior of the host. After driving around the campground, the host approached us and made a disparaging comment: “I don’t know how you people do it.” When we asked for clarification, she responded, “trying to get a place on Memorial Day weekend without a reservation.” Her tone and the phrase "you people" were particularly off-putting and condescending, especially since she knew nothing about our situation or us as individuals. It's truly disappointing that such a stunning location could be overshadowed by an encounter like this. While the campground itself is amazing, the staff's attitude can significantly affect the overall experience. We hope the management addresses this issue to ensure future guests feel welcomed and respected. People come to enjoy the natural beauty and relax, not to be greeted with unnecessary rudeness.
May 26, 2024 · Tina EnglenView of Ohio River from all sites! Great little floating dock next to boat ramp to watch barges and boaters go by. River not accessible from camp sites. Well maintained, clean campground with FHU, fairly level, trees for shade. Great stay! It is worth going the few miles off the highway, on the narrow, curvy road with a 12% grade. Thank you!
Aug 14, 2023 · Laura RodriguezWe were passing through and wanted to see if any sites became available. The lady who runs the park is completely unprofessional, rude and condescending. She placed judgment on me as a 33 year Army veteran with 30 years of camping alexperience. She probably saw my Army Silver Star license plate and decided to run me off.Veterans, stay away.
