Located conveniently off Interstate 90 in Deer Lodge, MT, our campground offers a comfortable and well-maintained environment for both overnight stays and longer visits. If you're searching for "camping near me" and seeking a reliable and accessible campground in western Montana, Indian Creek Campground is an excellent choice.
The environment surrounding Indian Creek Campground offers a blend of accessibility and tranquility. Situated just off the I-90 corridor, it provides ease of access for those on a road trip between destinations like Missoula and Butte. Despite its proximity to the interstate, customer reviews suggest a relatively quiet atmosphere, allowing guests to relax and unwind after a day of travel. The campground is also conveniently located near a truck stop, which can be beneficial for accessing fuel and other travel necessities. While the immediate surroundings prioritize convenience, the broader Deer Lodge area is nestled within the scenic landscapes of Montana, offering glimpses of the state's natural beauty.
Based on customer feedback, Indian Creek Campground prides itself on maintaining well-kept facilities. The gravel roads within the campground are reported to be in good condition, free of potholes, ensuring a smooth experience for all types of vehicles, including larger RVs. The campsites themselves are noted to be level, a significant advantage for RV owners seeking easy setup. Furthermore, the availability of Wi-Fi service is highlighted in reviews, providing guests with connectivity for communication and entertainment during their stay. T-Mobile users have specifically reported good cellular service at the campground.
Customer reviews also shed light on some of the specific services and features offered at Indian Creek Campground. The presence of a "cute little store" suggests that guests can access basic necessities and perhaps local souvenirs without having to travel far. The availability of propane is another valuable service for RVers who rely on it for heating and cooking. A standout feature mentioned in the reviews is the "excellent" shower house, indicating clean and well-maintained facilities for personal hygiene. This is often a significant factor for travelers when choosing a campground.
One of the unique features of Indian Creek Campground, specifically praised by RV owners, is the dedicated "BIG RIG" section. This thoughtful provision caters to larger recreational vehicles, offering more spacious sites that can comfortably accommodate these units. This demonstrates an understanding of the specific needs of big rig travelers and ensures a more stress-free parking and maneuvering experience. In contrast, one review noted that the pull-through sites in the center of the park can be somewhat tight, requiring guests to move picnic tables to access their spot. This suggests that while the campground offers pull-through convenience, those with particularly large setups might prefer to inquire about the big rig section or other more spacious sites.
The positive feedback regarding the friendly and helpful staff indicates a commitment to customer service at Indian Creek Campground. Kind and accommodating personnel can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, making guests feel welcome and assisting with any needs or inquiries. This personal touch, combined with the well-maintained facilities, contributes to the positive reviews the campground has received.

Indian Creek Campground Reviews
Great stop off of I90 between Missoula and Butte. Easy on and off the interstate, and near a truck stop- but still pretty quiet. Campground is well maintained, and gravel roads were pothole free. Our site was level. Wifi worked well. Tmobile had great service. Husband is giving them bonus points for having a dedicated "BIG RIG" only section. Very convenient and could not have asked for a better stop.
Sep 16, 2024 · Haley MarshThis is a nice quiet, conveniently located RV campground. The folks working here are very nice, there’s a cute little store and propane available. The shower house is excellent! Wi-Fi is pretty good. The pull thru sites in the center of the park are tight, We had to move picnic tables out of the way in order to pull into our site. The big rig sites are more spacious.
Sep 22, 2023 · Tina HawleyGreat little campground right off the freeway. I got quite a bit of freeway noise during the day, but I picked the spot nearest the freeway, so that’s on me. At night though I ran the fan and that drowned out the noise. Nice piece of lawn outside the trailer. The restrooms were great. Specific to me, I’m an amputee of the left leg below the knee. The accessible shower is better than most hotels I’ve been to. Major selling point for me. I make this trip once a year and will be back next June.
Jun 10, 2024 · Mike CrumeWe had a very nice stay here. The sites are large pull-through sites on gravel with grass. We had plenty of space and the other guests were friendly. The staff was very helpful and offered us recommendations on a local business to help with a tire repair. We appreciated the walking trail, bench to relax on by the lake, and the incredible mountain views.
Sep 03, 2022 · John SowderOne of the best campgrounds we have stayed at while on vacation. Very neat and clean and taken very good care of. The lady running the check in has a great personality. If anyone traveling in this area should be wanting a place to stay at you should check Indian Creek out you won't be disappointed.
