You can reach them by phone at (218) 628-4977 or via mobile at +1 218-628-4977 to inquire about reservations and availability. For local users exploring options under the category "camping near me," Indian Point Campground stands out due to its reported hospitality, potential for various camping styles, and beautiful setting that includes opportunities for fishing and breathtaking sunset views.
Based on the available reviews, Indian Point Campground appears to offer a blend of practical amenities and a naturally appealing environment. One reviewer noted the presence of "maybe 5 full hookup sites," indicating that these premium sites are available for RVers seeking comprehensive utility connections, including water, electricity, and sewer. The same reviewer also mentioned the existence of "more water and electric RV sites and tent sites," suggesting that the campground caters to a variety of camping preferences, from those needing full RV amenities to those who prefer a more traditional tent camping experience. The level gravel full hookup site experienced by the reviewer suggests that at least some of the RV areas are well-maintained and provide a stable and comfortable setup.
The second review, while from someone who hasn't stayed overnight yet, provides significant insights into the campground's hospitality and environment. The fact that the management allowed the reviewer to "park and fish right from one of their sites" speaks volumes about their welcoming nature and flexibility. This also strongly implies a waterfront location, offering direct access to fishing opportunities. The mention of "amazing" and "breathtaking sunset views" further highlights the scenic beauty of the campground and its surroundings. This suggests that Indian Point Campground is situated in a location that offers picturesque views, likely overlooking a body of water, which would be a significant draw for nature lovers and those seeking a tranquil camping experience.
Regarding services and features, the first reviewer mentioned that restrooms and laundry facilities were not available during their stay because it was before the official start of the season. This implies that these amenities are typically offered during the regular camping season. Access to clean and well-maintained restrooms and laundry facilities is a crucial factor for many campers, especially those on longer trips. Therefore, it is advisable for potential visitors to inquire about the availability of these services based on their intended travel dates.
While not explicitly stated, we can infer some additional potential services and features commonly found at campgrounds. Given the presence of RV sites with hookups, a dump station for RV waste disposal is likely available. The hospitable gesture of allowing someone to fish from a site suggests a connection to a water body that is suitable for fishing. This could be a lake or a river, further enhancing the recreational opportunities at or near the campground.
The mention of tent sites indicates that the campground accommodates those who prefer a more rustic camping experience. These sites typically offer a designated area for pitching a tent and may include basic amenities like a picnic table and a fire ring. The combination of full hookup RV sites, water and electric RV sites, and tent sites suggests that Indian Point Campground aims to cater to a diverse range of camping needs and preferences.
Based on the positive experiences shared in the reviews, Indian Point Campground appears to prioritize customer satisfaction and offers a welcoming atmosphere. The willingness to allow a non-staying visitor to fish from a site demonstrates a high level of hospitality and a desire to create positive experiences for those who visit. This personal touch can significantly enhance the overall appeal of a campground, making it feel more like a community than just a place to park or pitch a tent.
While no specific promotional information is provided in the reviews, local users interested in "camping near me" should consider contacting Indian Point Campground directly to inquire about any seasonal specials, discounts for local residents, or group rates. Asking about the specific types and number of available sites, the operating season for all amenities (including restrooms and laundry), pet policies, and any unique features or activities offered at or near the campground would also be beneficial when planning a visit. The stunning sunset views and fishing opportunities mentioned in the reviews could be key selling points for those seeking a scenic and recreational camping experience.
In conclusion, Indian Point Campground in Duluth, MN, presents itself as a hospitable and potentially scenic camping destination for local users searching for "camping near me." The availability of full hookup RV sites, along with other RV and tent sites, suggests a capacity to accommodate various camping styles. The reported kindness of the management and the opportunity for fishing with beautiful sunset views highlight the unique appeal of this campground. While some amenities like restrooms and laundry may have seasonal availability, the overall positive sentiment and the welcoming attitude of the staff indicate that Indian Point Campground is a strong contender for those seeking a memorable camping experience in the Duluth area. Further direct inquiry is recommended to obtain complete details for a future stay.

Indian Point Campground Reviews
Nice campground maybe 5 full hookup sites more water and electric RV sites and tent sites. We stayed in a FH site level gravel site all utilities worked as they should. Since we were there before the season officially started restrooms and laundry weren’t available so we didn’t get to use them. Thank you for allowing us to stay hope we make it back someday
Apr 27, 2025 · Keith ConleyAlthough I haven’t had the chance to stay at Indian Point Campground yet, I’m giving them 5 stars for their incredible hospitality. They were kind enough to let me park and fish right from one of their sites, which was an amazing experience. The sunset views were absolutely breathtaking. Thank you, Indian Point Campground, for the opportunity to not only enjoy some great fishing but also to get a glimpse of how much I’ll love staying here. You’re now in my top 5 campgrounds, and I can’t wait to book my stay soon.
Sep 25, 2024 · Allan DavisGoogle says I’m in the top 10% of all campground reviewers and this is the worst campground I’ve ever reviewed.I HAD TO WALK THOUGH ANOTHER CAMPSITE TO GET TO THE BATHROOM!!! AFTER DARK, IT WAS ALARMING FOR THEM!!!I asked for a tent site, (in other words, no hookups), and I’m not even in the park, the entrance to these 3 campsites is before you even get through the gates. As far as security goes, I’m really not even in the campground. I felt safer in the woods up north than right here in the suburbs where someone could come and steal my stuff because I’m not in the campground.(If these are so great, why was I the only one in these?)I’m back in the woods all by myself. I have to walk through other peoples’ campsites to get to the restrooms, and I’m still paying $45 a night. When I talked to the young lady who reserved this campsite for me, she was not at all accommodating. She didn’t apologize, and when she said I could move somewhere else, one of the other places she recommended, campsite 55, was also secluded, and required a 20 yard walk from the road. When they started mowing at 9 AM, it took away the whole morning coffee in a campground atmosphere for those on the grass in the campground.Yes, it is the closest campground that I know of to Duluth, but not what I paid for.
Aug 06, 2024 · Stephen - Not SteveHeard that sites were not level but we had no problems. The road in was very rough si I was nervous but the sites are spacious and well cared for would definitely be back if in the area!
Jul 10, 2024 · Melanie MullinsVery happy with the campground. Nice setting, very scenic. Only 7 full hook-up sites. Plenty more with power and water. The longer I stay here the better I like it. There is a nice walking trail that gives great views of the water. The folks in the office are really nice and willing to help with any issues.Next time I'm in the area I'd be happy to stay here.I hope in the future they have the opportunity to increase their full service spots.
