Based on recent feedback from campers, Indianfield stands out for its welcoming and friendly atmosphere, offering a variety of activities and a close-knit community feel. However, some visitors have noted the proximity of the campsites.
Environment and Atmosphere:
One of the most striking aspects of Indianfield Co-Op Campground, according to reviewers, is the strong sense of community and the friendliness of the people. One camper stated, "I’ve got to say, I have Never met a nicer group of people." They further elaborated on how different groups within the campground, whether they enjoy dancing, campfires, or the beach, all interact like "family and friends," readily helping each other. This paints a picture of a very inclusive and welcoming social environment, where visitors can expect to feel a part of a larger community.
The same reviewer also mentioned various activities that different groups enjoy, including dancing, sitting around campfires, and hanging out on the beach. This suggests that the campground offers diverse opportunities for recreation and socializing, catering to different interests. The presence of a beach indicates access to a body of water, likely providing opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, or simply relaxing by the water.
Another visitor who had a "fun day visiting with friends" also mentioned meeting "several nice people," reinforcing the theme of a friendly community. They noted that "Indianfield has a lot to offer," hinting at a range of amenities or activities available within the campground.
However, this same reviewer had one significant complaint regarding the environment, stating, "all the sites are right on top of each other. It felt rather claustrophobic compared to other campgrounds." This suggests that while the social atmosphere is highly positive, the physical layout of the campsites might feel crowded to some visitors who prefer more space and privacy between sites.
Services and Amenities (Inferred):
While the reviews don't provide an exhaustive list of services and amenities, we can infer some from the comments. The mention of a beach suggests access to water-related activities. Campfires are a common camping activity, implying that the campground likely has provisions for safe campfires, such as fire rings or designated areas. The reference to dancing and bingo indicates organized or informal social activities that the community enjoys.
As a co-op campground, Indianfield might have a different operational structure than privately owned campgrounds, potentially involving members or long-term participants who contribute to the community and its upkeep. This co-operative nature could contribute to the strong sense of family and willingness to help observed by one reviewer.
To get a comprehensive list of amenities such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, hookups for RVs, or specific recreational facilities, it would be best to contact the campground directly.
Features and Highlights:
The most prominent highlight of Indianfield Co-Op Campground appears to be its exceptionally friendly and inclusive community atmosphere. The opportunity to engage with a diverse group of people who feel like family is a significant draw. The presence of a beach and activities like campfires, dancing, and bingo offer various ways for campers to enjoy their time and socialize.
The co-operative nature of the campground might also be a unique feature, fostering a sense of shared ownership and responsibility among its members and guests.
However, a key point to consider is that some visitors may find the campsites to be very close together, leading to a feeling of less personal space compared to other campgrounds.

Indianfield Co-Op Campground Reviews
I’ve got to say, I have Never met a nicer group of people. I have seen groups of people who like dancing, people who like sitting around campfires, some hang out on the beach, but what I’ve noticed is that even though this “click” prefers cards or that one prefers to play bingo, that are All family and friends with each other, willing to help each other anyway they can. I’m Very happy my family and I chose INDIANFIELD.
Feb 13, 2024 · Melissa CarrWe had a fun day visiting with friends. Met several nice people. Indianfield has a lot to offer. My only complaint is that all the sites are right on top of each other. It felt rather claustrophobic compared to other campgrounds. Just my opinion
Jul 20, 2023 · David WhitesellOur family has been here since 1976 , we were the first ones here so what can i say. I grew , up here, great memories, changed from pop up s and tents its now a community. The lake and beech are well kept. It was and still is a great place to be a kid.
Jul 17, 2022 · David DeFrancoWe "lived" here now for about 15 years. Mostly nice people, old maintenance crew was great, last one was dreadful and new one we will see... Nice clean spring feed water, dock can use some updates, but nice. Beach is nice. Lots of activities for kids and adults. Nice family environment.
