One particularly positive review comes from cyclists traversing the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail who stopped over on a rainy day. This indicates that Israel River Campground thoughtfully accommodates tent campers, ensuring a comfortable and convenient setup even amidst challenging weather conditions. This attention to the needs of all types of campers is a testament to the campground's welcoming ethos.

Another reviewer, who stayed at IRC as a midpoint on their bikepacking trip across northern NH, echoed the sentiment about the "very cordial staff." This consistent praise for the staff underscores their commitment to providing excellent customer service. This reviewer also enjoyed a "river front camp site," highlighting another attractive feature of the campground: its proximity to the Israel River. Riverfront campsites offer a unique ambiance, with the soothing sounds of flowing water and potential for scenic views and even riverside relaxation.
This second reviewer also noted that while Israel River Campground is an "RV park that welcomes tent camping," the atmosphere was inclusive, with everyone they encountered being "both friendly and helpful." This indicates a harmonious environment where both RV and tent campers coexist comfortably, contributing to a welcoming community feel within the campground. This inclusive atmosphere is a significant draw for a diverse range of campers.
A practical feature mentioned by the bikepacking reviewer is the "on site store," which proved helpful for resupplying during their trip. An on-site store can be a significant convenience for campers, offering essentials, snacks, and perhaps even camping gear, saving travelers from having to make extra trips to nearby towns for necessities. This amenity adds to the self-sufficiency and convenience of staying at Israel River Campground.

Its strengths lie in its well-maintained facilities, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and its unbeatable location in the heart of a premier natural area. Israel River Campground Reviews
We stopped over while doing an bike ride on the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail on a rainy day. The tenting sites were well set up (not always true for RV focused campgrounds). The camp staff went out of their well to be pleasant and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained and the location in the heart of the Presidentials just can't be beat.
Aug 22, 2024 · Dave MaherIRC was midpoint in our bikepacking trip across northern NH. Very cordial staff and we had a river front camp site. Mind you, this is an RV park that welcomes tent camping and everyone we came across were both friendly and helpful. On site store helped with resupplys. Would stay here again.

Apr 28, 2023 · Jeanne CoulombeWe stayed here for the first time in 2022, we rented a camper booked it for 3 nights that’s the minimum to book them. The first night was Amazing the camper had two bathrooms and very spacious. The second night we noticed a smell, it was coming from the septic in one of the bathrooms..maintenance came and tried to rid the smell but it didn’t go away it was pretty bad not even a candle could take the smell away. We loved it there so we weren’t too concerned and the owner didn’t offer any apologies for this matter. We decided to book again this year this time a different camper, we wanted to stay at this campground because it was nostalgic for us. First night was horrible no hot water, we had to call multiple times needless to say they couldn’t get the hot water to work and the owner made us feel like it was our own fault that the hot water wasn’t working offered nothing no apologies once again! We will NOT be back to this campground!
May 26, 2023 · Wanda DiazWe love this campground. The grounds are very clean and well cared for. The pool, playground and the great little convenience store with its old fashioned “penny” candy (1,2,5 cent) jars are an old fashioned dream which kids love choosing from. The bathrooms and showers are kept very clean. We are looking forward to our second trip here.
