We really enjoyed our camping experience. The campground was clean and we had a great location next to the river. There was a lot of fun activities offered by the site including volleyball, corn hole and shuffle board. They provide you with the balls, beanbags etc at no extra cost. The site was nice and level and the sand made for a comfortable base for our tent. It was close to the Trail of 100 Giants and various hot springs. The bathrooms/showers were very clean and well maintained. There. were a couple downsides with our stay; the main "store" was closed more than it was open although there was a host staying in the campground that you could go to for ice and wood and items to play the games mentioned above. The other negative was it was very close to the main road so you could hear the traffic throughout the day/night. Finally, we ordered 5 cords of wood but what was delivered was a pile of wood that looks like a lot less. Plus they penalize you if you pick up dead logs from the area to use as firewood. Overall, I think a more secluded area would have been better but if you have kids, they will enjoy the games and other amenities. - Daren Di Nicola
