Lake Hartwell Campground LLC Introduce
For local residents in the Hartwell, Georgia area and those seeking a lakeside "camping near me" experience, Lake Hartwell Campground LLC, located at 330 Hart State Park Rd, Hartwell, GA 30643, USA, offers a promising retreat on the shores of the popular Lake Hartwell. As you explore options under the category of "camping near me," this campground stands out for its waterfront sites, clean environment, and range of hookup options, catering to both RV and tent campers looking for a relaxing getaway by the lake.
The environment of Lake Hartwell Campground LLC is undoubtedly centered around its prime location on Lake Hartwell. Multiple reviews highlight the "great waterfront sites" and the overall beauty of the lake. One visitor specifically mentioned their site (Site 22, Loop W18) being "on the water with beach," although another review noted "No beach despite stated," indicating potential inconsistencies or variations depending on the specific site. Regardless, the allure of camping directly on the lake, with the potential for water views and easy access for swimming, fishing, or boating, is a significant environmental feature. The campground is described as being the "perfect size… enough space to walk around and explore, but not too big that it felt overwhelming," suggesting a comfortable and navigable layout for guests to enjoy the natural surroundings. The weather during a November visit was noted as "perfect," with comfortable daytime and cooler evening temperatures, indicating pleasant conditions for camping during certain times of the year. The grounds are consistently praised as "VERY CLEAN" and "very well managed," contributing to an enjoyable outdoor experience.
Lake Hartwell Campground LLC offers a range of services to accommodate different camping needs. Many sites provide "30/50 and water hookup," catering primarily to RV campers with varying electrical requirements. While full sewer hookups are not standard at all sites, the campground does have a "dump station close by" for RV waste disposal. Notably, "Sites #38, 39 & 40" are specifically mentioned as the "only ones with full sewer, 50amp services & electric," indicating a premium option for RVers seeking complete hookups. These full hookup sites also had "all hook-ups in good condition and easy to access." For those not requiring full hookups, the availability of water and electricity at many waterfront sites is a significant convenience. While one review mentioned "no impression either way" regarding the staff, the overall cleanliness and management of the grounds suggest a level of service that maintains the campground well. Security is noted as "lacking" by one reviewer, with issues regarding the functionality of the security gates, which is a point potential visitors might want to consider.
The features of Lake Hartwell Campground LLC are primarily its access to Lake Hartwell and the variety of campsites available. The "lake front sites are very inviting, clean and well maintained" are a major draw, offering the quintessential lakeside camping experience. However, accessibility to some sites appears to be a factor to consider. One review mentioned having a "pass through site" that was "pretty tight (sharp turn) with a 24’ (30’ total) pull behind travel trailer," advising that "some seem to be much easier than others," and recommending that campers "plan accordingly" based on the size of their rig. Specific sites (#56 - 60) were even noted as potentially inaccessible without parking on the road. This highlights the importance of carefully selecting a site based on the size and type of your camping unit. The campground's layout allows for "space to walk around and explore," suggesting a design that encourages guests to enjoy the overall property. The availability of both back-in and potentially pull-through sites (though some are tight) caters to different RV preferences. The mention of a "KOA Patio Deluxe" site type suggests a potential affiliation with KOA, which often implies a certain standard of amenities and site features, although this is not explicitly confirmed for all sites.
The provided reviews do not contain any specific promotional information for Lake Hartwell Campground LLC. It would also be beneficial to ask for recommendations on site selection based on the size of your RV or tent and your preference for waterfront or full hookup options. Inquiring about any potential fees for amenities or services would also be prudent.
In conclusion, Lake Hartwell Campground LLC offers a compelling "camping near me" option for local residents seeking a lakeside getaway in Hartwell, GA. Its clean and well-managed grounds, coupled with the availability of waterfront sites and various hookup options (including limited full sewer sites), make it suitable for both RV and tent campers. However, potential visitors should be mindful of the varying accessibility of campsites, particularly for larger RVs, and the reported issues with security gate functionality. Direct communication with the campground is recommended to select an appropriate site and to inquire about any current promotions or specific amenities. Overall, for those prioritizing a clean, lakeside camping experience with essential hookups, Lake Hartwell Campground LLC is a destination worth considering.

Lake Hartwell Campground LLC Reviews
My family and I visited Lake Hartwell Campground November 2nd - 5th and the weather was perfect. It would get down into the 40-50 range in the evening and 60-70 range during the day with no rain.Site 22, Loop W18 which was close to the entrance and on the water with beach. 30/50 and water hookup, which also had a dump station close by. Walking around the campground, there were a lot of great waterfront sites to be honest, but we thought ours checked off all the boxes. I also felt this campground was the perfect size… there was enough space to walk around and explore, but not too big that it felt overwhelming. VERY CLEAN.We had a pass through site, but it was pretty tight (sharp turn) with a 24’ (30’ total) pull behind travel trailer. Some seem to be much easier than others, so depending on the size of your rig… plan accordingly. Felt the campground seemed pretty safe too, due to setup and access points.Would highly recommend… pictures for reference, but don’t capture how great this place truly is!
Dec 12, 2023 · Scott DanielsonWould we return: Yes but different site.Conditions: CLEAN and very well managed grounds!Staff: no impression either way.Security: lacking. Had 2 "security" gates; 1 always open, 2nd allowed cars to follow right behind you.Site: #38, 39 & 40 no lake view, but full view & sounds of bathrooms (a/c squeaked entire time), and is where traffic passes.Spacing: Could open slides and awnings easily with space for sitting outside.Note: These 3 sites are the only ones with full sewer, 50amp services & electric. All hook-ups in good condition and easy to access. No beach despite stated. This is a review for the "Back In, 50/30 Amps, Full Hookups, KOA Patio Deluxe".Lake front sites are very inviting, clean and well maintained. Many sites tricky to access but do-able, we could not figure out how anyone could use sites #56 - 60, looks like you'd have to park on the road but no one could pass you. Wednesday PM - Fri AM 10% filled in late May.

Oct 27, 2020 · Robin NorthPleasant experience. We chose a campsite off the lake and it was quiet and not much traffic. We were near the bathhouse and got great WIFI reception. The bathrooms were cleaned every morning.
