For those in the Hawley, Minnesota area and beyond searching for the perfect "camping near me" experience, Lee Lake Seasonal Campground presents a compelling option. This established campground, located at 823 270th St S, Hawley, MN 56549, offers a seasonal haven for RV enthusiasts seeking a tranquil and well-maintained environment. With a history of positive experiences spanning nearly two decades for some renters, Lee Lake Seasonal Campground cultivates a welcoming atmosphere and provides essential amenities for a comfortable stay.
A Quiet and Relaxing Environment
One of the standout features of Lee Lake Seasonal Campground, consistently highlighted by its patrons, is its peaceful and relaxing ambiance. The campground is described as "very quiet," making it an ideal retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This serene environment contributes to a restful camping experience, allowing visitors to truly unwind and connect with the outdoors. The seasonal nature of the campground suggests a focus on providing a longer-term, stable camping community rather than just transient stays, which may further contribute to the quiet and neighborly atmosphere.
The fact that the campground offers only five pull-through sites with water and electric hookups indicates a smaller, more intimate setting compared to larger campgrounds. This limited number of sites likely contributes to the overall quiet and less crowded feel. For RV owners, pull-through sites offer the convenience of easy setup and departure without the need for backing in, which is a significant advantage for many travelers.

It is worth noting a point of feedback regarding the water quality. One reviewer mentioned a "strong sulfur smell and iron taste" to the water. While this was the sole reason for a slightly lower rating, it is an important consideration for potential visitors. It might be advisable for those sensitive to water quality to bring their own drinking water or inquire with the campground management about any potential remedies or updates to the water system.

Lee Lake Seasonal Campground Reviews
This campground has 5 pull through sites with water and electric. Very quite and relaxing place, there is a pool with basic amenities. The camphost was very attentive. Good cell reception with Verizon, also got the local tv channels. The only reson for a 4 star review is that the water had a strong sulfur smell and iron taste to it. Aside from that it's a nice place and well manicured.
Jun 21, 2019 · L. EstevezWe’ve been renting out here for nearly 20 years? Great neighbors, friendly and helpful. Justin and Amanda have and are doing their very best to make improvements to the infrastructure as they can afford. Very well kept. Um, always has been a positive experience out here at Lee Lake. Thanks everyone 👍 We look forward to the next 20👍
Jul 09, 2021 · Todd BoucherLove it here, my family has been at this camp ground for over 20yrs !! The new owner Justin and Amanda are great, very friendly, kind and respectful!! Never seen neither one in a bad mood or have a bad day!!!
May 29, 2023 · Rabecca GarciaIt was OK for just a place to stop on our way to get some sleep for the night. Never saw anyone. Pretty easy to fallow the signs to our site, left our check in the mailbox. Looks like they only have 5 "transit" sites and the rest is seasonals. Lots of mosquitoes! Don't bother getting $5 firewood. Not a full hookup but they have a dump station.
Jul 10, 2020 · Karen EnglandWe stayed overnight as we were passing through. The owners are really nice as are the campers. The signal with AT&T is sketchy at best, however, that didn't ruin anything as we were just stopping by when on our way home from Bismarck, ND.
