Livingston Campground Introduce
If you are searching for "camping near me" in the Livingston, Montana area, Livingston Campground, located at 11 Rogers Ln, Livingston, MT 59047, USA, presents itself as a potential option for overnight or short-term stays. Situated in Livingston, this campground offers a location within reach of the scenic beauty of Montana and potentially as a stopover for travelers exploring the region. You can contact them at (406) 222-1122 or +1 406-222-1122 for inquiries about availability and services.
The environment surrounding Livingston Campground is typical of the Livingston area, offering access to the natural landscapes of Montana. Livingston is located near the Yellowstone River and is surrounded by mountains, providing a picturesque setting. The specific ambiance within the campground itself is not detailed in the provided information, but one might expect a standard campground setting with individual lots or spaces for RVs and possibly tents. The proximity to Livingston suggests potential access to local amenities and services within the town, such as grocery stores, restaurants, and fuel stations, which can be a convenient aspect for those "camping near me" who need to resupply or want to explore the local area.
Based on the limited information available, specifically the customer reviews, providing a comprehensive overview of the services and features of Livingston Campground is challenging. Traditional campgrounds often offer amenities such as water hookups, electrical hookups, and sewage disposal for RVs. They may also provide common areas like restrooms, shower facilities, and potentially laundry services. However, the reviews offer some insight into the state and functionality of these potential services. One review mentions a shower house that was described as "clean but VERY outdated," and the women's shower facility appeared to be non-functional due to a potential battery issue with the access code mechanism. This suggests that while some basic amenities might be present, their condition and reliability could be a concern for potential guests.
The features of Livingston Campground, beyond the basic infrastructure, are not detailed. It is reasonable to assume that individual campsites are available, potentially varying in size and hookup availability. The reviews do not provide information on whether the campground offers additional features such as picnic tables, fire rings, Wi-Fi access, or recreational areas. Therefore, those considering this "camping near me" option should inquire directly with the campground about the specific features available at each site and within the campground as a whole to ensure it meets their needs and expectations.
The customer reviews offer significant insights, albeit concerning, into the operational aspects and customer service at Livingston Campground. One review describes a negative experience where a guest was allegedly told they could not return for a subsequent booking, despite claiming to have left their previous lot clean and having a future reservation. This review also mentions a dispute regarding a refund for the unused reservation and difficulties in communication with the management, ultimately leading to the involvement of authorities. This paints a picture of potential issues with customer service, communication, and policy enforcement.
Another review details a late-night arrival experience that was also less than satisfactory. The reviewer mentions a lack of clear signage about vacancy, a delayed and seemingly grumpy response from the management, and inconsistent interactions regarding site assignment and payment. The experience with the shower facilities, as mentioned earlier, further adds to the concerns raised in this review. The reviewer's overall assessment suggests that while the campground might serve as a last resort, it might not be a reliable or pleasant option, especially when compared to other potential "camping near me." The comment about walk-ins having better luck than those with reservations is particularly noteworthy and raises questions about the campground's booking management.
Regarding promotional information, none is provided in the given data. It is unknown whether Livingston Campground offers any discounts for extended stays, seasonal rates, or other promotions. Given the concerns raised in the reviews, potential campers might prioritize verifying the current rates and policies directly with the campground and perhaps seeking recent feedback from other sources before making a reservation. The price of $35 mentioned in one review provides a data point for the cost of a single night for a specific type of site (presumably without full hookups, given the context), but current pricing may vary.
In conclusion, Livingston Campground in Livingston, Montana, offers a location that may be convenient for those seeking "camping near me" in the area. However, the available customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding customer service, communication, and the condition of some facilities. Potential guests should be aware of these issues and are strongly advised to contact the campground directly to inquire about current policies, services, features, and pricing. It would also be prudent to seek more recent reviews from other platforms to gain a broader understanding of the current state of the campground and make an informed decision about whether it meets their needs for a "camping near me" experience in Livingston.

Livingston Campground Reviews
I would never recommend. My husband and I and our 5 month baby were staying here for only 2 weeks till our house got signed off and we could move in. We had recorded the lot we were leaving to show it was clean and picked up. We were waiting for the other slot we had booked for 4 days. She called us saying we can't come back cause we left it a mess. My husband told her we had documented the lot before we left that it was cleaned and she said well you still can't come back. My husband had asked for the the money back for the other lot we haven't stayed in yet. She is refusing to give back our refund cause my husband got upset with her cause they way she was talking to us. She said she wasn't going to give us our money back, for the lot wr haven't stayed in yet. She hung up and won't return our calls for our money. We had to get the authorities involved which we didn't want to do.
Jul 28, 2024 · Samantha ThomasIt was around 10:00 PM and we were trying to find a place to stay and we stumbled upon this campground. There was no sign indicating that the place was full so we came on in. My dad went up to the office and did as the instructions said. He rang the doorbell and waited patiently. No one came, so we decided to leave and find someplace else. Since we had a U Hall we couldn't just back out so we drove on in to find a place to turn around. We drove into this one place that ended up being a dead end, and a lady came running out of the office building. Apparently we almost drove over the septic tank. She was nice enough to help us back out, but she was very cranky. She kept telling us to be quiet,( like girly pop you're right next to a highway and not to far from a train, I don't think being quiet should be your first concern right now). Anyways after we got backed out she walked my dad over to this one spot and said, "these people never showed up you can have their spot". So we drove over to the spot and she told us we were driving too fast 😭. The price was $35, and my dad handed her $40 and told her to keep the change for her troubles and very grumply she responded, "You can come by tomorrow morning and get your change". After she had left my dad and I decided to check out the shower house. We tried putting in the code for the women's first, and after the second attempt it started beeping (very quietly), so we decided to try the men's. The door opened and my dad went inside. He said that it was clean but VERY outdated. We tried the women's one more time and nothing happened. The buttons wouldn't light up nor were they making the little beep sound. We're assuming that the battery had died. Over all not the worst place to stay if you're desperate, but I definitely wouldn't count on staying here, because after reading some other reviews we as walk ins had more luck getting a spot then some people who had actual reservations.
Jul 07, 2024 · Bethany Openlander (Golden Spark)We enjoyed our stay at this RV park in Livingston, Montana. We had reservations at a city park campground for the night before but upon arrival there were several people in tents at our site! Being it was a city park and it was the weekend we couldn't contact the city offices. This was just a few days before the 4th of July, we contacted Bonnie at Livingston RV campground, and explained our dilemma hoping she could help us get a spot a day ahead of our reservation. Bonnie went above and beyond our expectations of finding a spot on such short notice and it being just before the 4th of July. She moved our reservation and said to come on down, that same day. We drove another 2 hours, adding more time to our already long drive day and made it to meet Bonnie at the campground. What a wonderful lady, very helpful, cheery, caring and compassionate! Our site was pretty level, full hook-up, 30 amp pull-thru and easy to get into. The campground has a "down home" vibe to it, very welcoming and clean and we had 2-3 bars with Verizon.Thank you Bonnie for your compassion and helping us out in our time of need. We recommend RV travelers to stop over for a night or longer and meet Bonnie.
Jul 17, 2024 · John EConvenient and cheap if you’re just passing through for a night. We have a small camper so we didn’t have problems getting in and out.. but I can see how others do. There is no real office, just hope someone’s there. The Maintence guy was friendly and nice!It did have wifi and hot water, if you get the correct code for the bathroom.Bathroom is not clean or updated, and the campground is not like the pictures. I’d recommend just finding another spot, or keeping your expectations fairly low.
Jun 17, 2024 · Jordan SpeliosThis campground is not what they post online! I would definitely NOT recommend! We arrived at so called “office”, walked in and it was dark with a bed around a partition. I called “hello” & a woman came from another room. She had no clue who I was or what spot I was supposed to be in. I had to tell her from what I received online where I should be. When we got to our spot, they had put down fresh asphalt and had not rolled it, so it’s stuck to tires, shoes, and whatever else. Didn’t see any facilities as laundry, restrooms, etc. so avoid this place if you’re driving through the area.
