Long Point Cabin Camp Office Introduce
For local adventurers seeking a distinctive "camping near me" experience along the North Carolina coast, Long Point Cabin Camp Office, located on an Unnamed Road in Cedar Island, NC 28520, USA, offers a unique opportunity for a memorable getaway. This cabin camp provides a rustic retreat in close proximity to beautiful beaches, making it an attractive option for those looking to combine the tranquility of nature with coastal recreation.
As a featured option within the "camping near me" category, Long Point Cabin Camp Office caters to local users desiring a different kind of camping experience beyond traditional campgrounds with full amenities. Its location on Cedar Island suggests a coastal environment characterized by natural beauty, potential for wildlife viewing, and easy access to the beach. This makes it an appealing destination for families, couples, and individuals looking to escape to the coast.
Based on the available customer reviews, the environment surrounding Long Point Cabin Camp Office is highly appreciated. One reviewer mentioned having an "incredible weekend" and being eager to return, indicating a positive experience with the natural setting and the overall ambiance of the camp. The proximity to the beach is also highlighted, with another reviewer noting that the beach is "so nice and near by the cabins," making it a significant draw for those who enjoy coastal activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and beachcombing.
It's important to note that Long Point Cabin Camp Office emphasizes self-sufficiency. One reviewer explicitly advises future visitors to "keep in mind you need to be fully supplied when you come in." This suggests that the camp provides a more basic level of service, focusing on accommodation rather than comprehensive supplies. The same review clarifies that "the only thing they sell here is ice and gasoline." Therefore, campers should plan to bring all their own food, water, camping gear, and any other necessities for their stay.
The second review also reinforces the need for self-preparedness, specifically mentioning to "please take ur electric fan and supply." This implies that the cabins may not be equipped with air conditioning or fans, making it essential to bring your own climate control solutions, especially during warmer months. It also reiterates the general theme of bringing your own supplies to ensure a comfortable stay.
Regarding services and features, the information suggests that Long Point Cabin Camp Office primarily offers cabin accommodations. The reviews mention "cabins" and a "cabin camp office," indicating that the core offering is the rental of cabins for lodging. While the reviews do not detail the specific features of these cabins, they are likely to provide basic shelter and sleeping arrangements. Given the advice to bring an electric fan, it's possible that the cabins offer minimal amenities beyond the basic structure.
The sale of ice and gasoline on-site is a notable feature, providing some convenience for campers, particularly those needing to replenish these specific items. However, the strong emphasis on bringing all other supplies indicates that campers should not rely on the camp for food, water, or other camping essentials.
One review also mentions a trail near mile marker 2, cautioning against taking it without a significant vehicle lift (12" or more) and massive tires due to unexpectedly deep water (over 3 feet in one section, despite a sign indicating 14-18 inches). This information is crucial for visitors who may be planning to explore the area with their vehicles. It highlights the importance of being aware of local conditions and potential hazards, especially when venturing off the main roads or trails.
Based on the reviews, potential features and considerations for Long Point Cabin Camp Office include:
- Cabin Accommodations: The primary offering is the rental of cabins, likely providing basic shelter near the beach. Specific cabin amenities are not detailed.
- Proximity to the Beach: A significant advantage, allowing for easy access to coastal activities.
- Limited On-Site Sales: Only ice and gasoline are sold at the camp. Campers must bring all other necessary supplies.
- Self-Sufficiency Required: Campers need to be fully prepared with their own food, water, camping gear, and personal items.
- Potential Trail Hazards: Certain trails in the area may be unsuitable for standard vehicles due to deep water. Exercise caution when exploring off-road areas.
- No Mention of Standard Campground Amenities: Unlike typical RV parks or campgrounds, there is no mention of facilities like restrooms, showers, or communal cooking areas in the provided reviews. Campers should be prepared for a more rustic experience.
Currently, no specific promotional information is available for Long Point Cabin Camp Office based on the provided data. Local users interested in staying here should contact the office directly using the provided phone numbers: (877) 444-6777 or +1 877-444-6777 to inquire about cabin availability, pricing, and any current specials. It would also be beneficial to ask for more details about the cabin amenities and the overall facilities of the camp to ensure it meets your needs.
For local users searching within the "camping near me" category who are drawn to a coastal environment and are comfortable with a more self-sufficient camping style, Long Point Cabin Camp Office offers a unique option near Cedar Island, NC. The positive feedback regarding the overall experience and the proximity to the beach suggests a rewarding getaway for those who come prepared. The key takeaway from the reviews is the necessity of bringing all your own supplies, as the camp offers very limited provisions beyond ice and gasoline.
In conclusion, Long Point Cabin Camp Office provides a coastal cabin camping experience near Cedar Island, NC, emphasizing self-reliance. Its prime location near the beach is a major attraction, as highlighted by satisfied visitors. However, prospective campers must be aware that they need to be fully equipped with all their own supplies, as only ice and gasoline are available for purchase on-site. Long Point Cabin Camp Office Reviews
We had an incredible weekend here. Already planning the next one. Keep in mind you need to be fully supplied when you come in. The only thing they sell here is ice and gasoline. There is a trail near mile marker 2 that i would suggest NOT taking unless you have a 12" lift and massive tires. Sign says 14-18" of water on the trail, but it was over 3 feet in one section. Water splashed up over the hood and bent the piston rods in the sequoia, blowing the engine. Great weekend regardless!
