Lost Lake Group Campground Reviews
Lost Lake has been a favorite family destination for myself and my family since I was a child. It's always pretty. The campground, day use areas, dog swimming, and people swimming areas are well taken care of. The trails around the park are quite enjoyable. It hasn't really changed, nor has it needed to, in the last last 40+ years.
Jul 11, 2024 · Jacob KennerA nice campground, within walking distance of the prettiest lake. Perfect for kayaking, or just sitting and soaking up the peace. Hiking trails nearby, as well. Some of the bunkhouses are pretty primitive though. Be sure and take mosquito repellent.
May 30, 2024 · Northern girlMy kids beg to come here every year. We love this place. It's peaceful, beautiful, and a great place to unplug and relax. ❤️ The loons are always around. The sounds are peaceful. The squirrels are playful. The flowers are out of this world beautiful. The sites are roomy and accommodating. The kids love the floating dock and swimming. We don't want to leave when our trip is over. We can't wait to go back.
Apr 28, 2023 · Sara KnightMy family camps here every year. It's one of the most beautiful places in the world. The lake is great. My kids play for hours on the floating dock. The Loones call over the lake at night and it's simply amazing. There is horse shoe pits and an amphitheater too.
Jun 30, 2022 · Tracy MurphyWe had an amazing time !! The caretaker of the campground was so compassionate when we had forgotten items he gladly helped us. The atmosphere around you is like no other we were surrounded by people who had been coming to lost lake for 18 years and let me say absolutely genuine we showered with breakfast donuts aswell as adventurous ideas to do with the kiddos while there. Was an experience we will not forget we will be back for sure ! The best part was the wildlife that could be heard and seen throughout our stay. Loons echoed through nature calling out across the lake while chipmunks playfully came to watch us set up camp , and while walking along the lake by strawberry mt trail we got to witness i believe a red snapping turtle laying eggs.(we did not disturb her as she was completing the circle of life ) The funny part was we didnt see her there while walking in, but I had taken a picture of my son and realized later after walking up on the turtle on the way back that I had to have caught a shot of her and sure enough going back through the pics i found her shell there in the background of my son I had to zoom in ..just amazing the memories we got to create by just enjoying nature and all her glory. You have not been you should go will be worth it!!
