The availability of rental campers can be particularly appealing to newcomers to camping or those who prefer the convenience of having a camper already set up upon arrival.
While the reviews provide glowing feedback about the environment, amenities, and atmosphere, specific details about the size and layout of the campsites, the availability of fire pits or picnic tables at each site, or other specific services like Wi-Fi are not mentioned. Marlowe's Scenic River Campground Reviews
We used to set up tents 14 years ago. My MIL has been since. She camped for a few nights this month and we met her there. The campground has improved since we were last there and it's still the best campground on the Allegheny. We love to drop our kayaks in Oil City and Franklin and float back into camp. And with the tents being set up right off the inlet from the Allegheny River, it makes for the perfect adventure.

They have a store with ice cream and snacks for the kids, as well as fishing bait. We went on memorial day and had a blast! They had a band and bingo for activities. Id definitely recommend you putting your camper here or even just bring some tents, they have tent sites that you can rent or campers you can rent! Definitely a friendly environment for you and your family!!! Pet friendly
Jun 04, 2023 · Ron HackThis was a great little get away spot for our family with 5 kids. We loved camping right on the creek where we had easy access with kayaks and canoe to the Allegheny River. The kids had a blast playing in the creek and fishing the river. Also fairly close to the bike trail where we spent an afternoon biking from tunnel to tunnel. Camp owner was friendly and laid back... It was super easy to get in. Campground was very quiet and peaceful while we were there (Mon.-Fri.) Nice sites with full hook up for camper. Also clean shower house.
Aug 05, 2022 · Elizabeth WagnerSmall campground ajasecnt to the Allegheny. You can reach the rubber by kayak or small ready but not without some real effort. Not sure why they have not dreged this river to the camp as they have so many others up and down the river. The camp is small but has a lot of charm. They could use a slightly better business sense and charge for reservations but if they want to lose money in spots when no one shows up, who am I to argue. The staff are great and very accommodating. The rope bridge is really cool. I actually love this little campground a lot.
Sep 12, 2023 · Joseph ApanovitchThe campground was very nice. It looks like it's well kept. Fyi, there is no cell serice, and payment is cash or check only. However, the weekend seems to get a little rowdy with hooting and hollering and loud music. ATV use through the camp is not that big of a deal. I was not happy with people walking through our site as if it was theirs. I was also not happy with all of the dogs that were allowed to run free. If there are rules, no one knows what they are and no one enforces them. The worst part was the smoldering pile of trash on the primitive side of the campground. We stayed for four nights and it smoldered the entire time and the smell permeated the entire campground. We could not leave the windows of our camper open or else that smell flooded our camper as well. We watched campers walk up and throw more stuff onto the pile. They apparently could not be bothered to go to the other side of the campground where the single dumpster is. We will not be coming back.
