McIntosh Cabins Reviews
My wife and I have been going to Allegheny State Park for over 20 years. For much of that time we would stay on the Quaker side (Angle and Buffalo trails). Since having a son, we have been staying the last several years at McIntosh trail. It is a little more convenient than Quaker, as it's closer to amenities like laundry, Red House beach, the general store and so on. Essentially, less of a hassle with children. Moreover, you get reliable mobile service, which with a child is important. The cabins are spaced perfectly, so you still get the feeling you're at your own camp. The restrooms and shower facilities are regularly cleaned. Would recommend for campers with little ones for sure.
Jul 10, 2024 · Michael Habitzrutherwe had cabin 44 at Mcintosh. it was good. clean. had a cement floor and the cleaners mopped the floor with chlorine. we left the windows open to dry and it was good. beds were ok. no odors. no microwave. quiet and private. had a fire pit out in the woods behind that was excellent! had 2 bath houses. the one listed on the map is at the back of the loop. it was newer warm and nice. the other unit is at the lower end of the loop and was older and cold. but worked. will do it again. plan to cook. not much for restaurants especially Sunday thru Wednesday.
Oct 13, 2022 · John Bogniakcozy little heated cabin with great hiking trails nearby. this one was nestled in a large wooded area with a stream running through it. the new bathroom/shower house was really nice. both the new and older facilities were always clean.
Mar 21, 2019 · corinneExcellent 70th birthday for my wonderful husband! Love the rustic style of the cabins, the friendly campers you always meet and the great addition of dishwashing stations! Perfect!
Nov 03, 2019 · David RoyWe love it here, but rented two cabins and one is much nicer than the other.. One is concrete slab and our dogs don't like it. The other is hardwood floor. Much cozier, esp in winter.
