Recent customer reviews paint a picture of a campground undergoing a remarkable transformation. One long-time visitor, whose family has camped at this location for nearly 50 years, expressed immense gratitude to the new owners, Steve and Cindy, for "saveing this park." This reviewer highlighted that after years of the park being neglected, the new owners have revitalized it, bringing it back to its former glory and even enhancing it with modern upgrades. There was a collective relief among campers when the previous ownership changed, and the transition to Steve and Cindy has been overwhelmingly positive.
The updates implemented by the new owners are described as "amazing." These include a "beautiful revitalization of the old barn," suggesting a potential communal or event space that has been significantly improved. Additionally, the campground has added more camping spaces to accommodate more visitors. A particularly significant upgrade is the electrical service, which was long overdue, and the introduction of full hookups for RVs. These improvements indicate a commitment to providing a more comfortable and convenient camping experience for a wider range of campers.
The new owners, Steve and Cindy, are lauded for their approach, being described as "humble and open to ideas and suggestions." This collaborative spirit suggests a welcoming and responsive management style, focused on continuously improving the campground based on camper feedback. For their first year under new management, they are commended for doing a "fantastic job," instilling confidence in the future of Myers Lake Camping and Cabins.
The campground is characterized as offering a "Great family camping" environment, described as "Clean safe and laid back." This suggests that Myers Lake Camping and Cabins is an ideal destination for families looking for a relaxing and secure place to enjoy the outdoors together. The mention of "Amazing staff!" further reinforces the positive atmosphere and the quality of service provided.
In contrast to the overwhelmingly positive review highlighting the recent changes, another reviewer from the previous year offered a different perspective regarding the environment. This individual noted, "If you like having some privacy & trees, this wouldn't be a place to go." They observed that the campsites were "packed in & close to our neighbors." However, despite this lack of privacy and spacing, this reviewer still found Myers Lake to be "extremely clean & peaceful." They also appreciated that "everyone was respectful of quiet hours" and enjoyed the "fun events @ the barn area." The availability of "full hookup" and its proximity to home made this reviewer willing to return for a "quick getaway."
Combining these reviews, Myers Lake Camping and Cabins appears to offer a clean and peaceful camping environment, even if the campsites are relatively close together with limited privacy and trees. The recent change in ownership has brought about significant and well-received upgrades, particularly the revitalization of the barn, the addition of camping spaces, and the much-needed electrical service improvements, including full hookups. The new owners are praised for their dedication, friendliness, and openness to feedback, fostering a positive and family-friendly atmosphere.
The "fun events @ the barn area" mentioned in one review suggest that Myers Lake Camping and Cabins may offer some form of organized activities or communal gatherings for campers, enhancing the social aspect of the camping experience. The fact that quiet hours are respected contributes to the peaceful environment noted by both reviewers.
While specific details about all services and amenities are not exhaustively listed, the mention of "full hookup" indicates that the campground caters to RVs with water, electricity, and sewer connections. The cleanliness of the park is consistently highlighted, suggesting well-maintained facilities. The presence of a barn area that hosts events implies some level of communal space and organized activities.
The name "Myers Lake Camping and Cabins" suggests the availability of both traditional campsites and cabin rentals. However, the reviews primarily focus on the camping experience and the RV facilities. Local users interested in cabin rentals would need to inquire specifically about their availability and features.
Considering the category "camping near me," Myers Lake Camping and Cabins in Byron, MI, presents itself as a significantly improved and well-regarded option, especially under the new ownership. The positive changes, focus on cleanliness and safety, and family-friendly atmosphere make it an attractive destination for local campers. While those seeking secluded, heavily wooded campsites might find the spacing less ideal, the peaceful environment, updated amenities like full hookups, and the positive management seem to outweigh this for many visitors.
Currently, there is no explicit promotional information provided in the reviews. However, the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the new ownership and the recent upgrades serves as a strong implicit endorsement for Myers Lake Camping and Cabins. The long-term loyalty of families, spanning generations, further speaks to the enduring appeal of this location, now enhanced by the dedicated efforts of Steve and Cindy. Myers Lake Camping and Cabins Reviews
If you like having some privacy & trees, this wouldn't be a place to go. I will say though, despite being packed in & close to our neighbors, Myers is extremely clean & peaceful. Everyone was respectful of quiet hours & they had some fun events @ the barn area. Being close to home with full hookup, I'd go again next year when we want a quick getaway.
Sep 22, 2024 · Valerie DFirst and foremost a big thank you to the new owners Steve and Cindy! You have done an incredible job with saveing this park. After years of the park being run down by the church not is now back to the great place it used to be. Tho we were all happy to see the church selling after years of neglect we were worried it would become a subdivision. The updates are amazing. Steven, Cindy have truly brought the campground into a modern camping experience. The updates are many from the beautiful revitalization of the old barn to the additional camping spaces to what was long long overdue with an upgrade to the electrical service and now even full hookup. They have set the place up for complete success. They're humble and open to ideas and suggestions. For their first year back at it, they are doing a fantastic job. We look forward to many years back at the park and many new memories to come. Thank you again, Steven &Cindy You have truly saved a fantastic place. Great family camping. Clean safe and laid back. Amazing staff! My family has camped here for almost 50 years. Family reunion is getting close to it 75 year at the campground.

Jun 01, 2022 · Dennis TranthamWe spend there 2 nights on 05/14/2022, the cabins and the whole camping were very clean (all feels like new or is new) and the cabins even had AC and fridge!!! The kids liked playing in the water, many small fishes to see and even some frogs (more in the wood). The receptionist was super friendly, they have a very convenient small selling and less than a mile away there is a small store where you can get all your need. In case of rain they have a huge sort of historical barn with many board games and ping pong table.I recommend!
May 22, 2022 · Nicolas régentWe've been bringing our family to this campgrounds for 38 years. Our children enjoyed their camping experience every time we came. We now bring our grandchildren to this park and they love it just as much as we do. It is a safe, clean, and friendly environment for children to play in. Love the Safety and Security of the fenced-in campgrounds. Lots of activities for the kids to engage themselves in at the game barn, the playground and on the beach. The park is well-maintained and the restrooms are always clean. Benefits for tent campers include the three-compartment sink in the laundry room where you can do your dishes. Love the fact that there's an on-site laundry as well. Staff is friendly and welcoming and always willing to help you out when you need it. I would recommend this for any family or group that likes to camp. The park is now under new ownership with updated site with full hookups, and more lakefront lots. New Staff is wonderful.
