Ninemile Prairie Campground Introduce
For individuals searching within the "camping near me" category in the Bonner, Montana area, Ninemile Prairie Campground, located at Bonner, MT 59823, USA, is an option that may appear in your search results. As with any potential camping destination, it is essential to gather all available information to make an informed decision. The following introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Ninemile Prairie Campground based on the limited feedback found in online reviews.
The address places Ninemile Prairie Campground in the vicinity of Bonner, Montana, a region known for its natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities. However, the specific environment and immediate surroundings of the campground itself are not detailed in the provided information. One review does mention the "Greenough valley," suggesting the campground might be situated within or near this area, which could offer scenic landscapes. The same review also alludes to the presence of a river bottom, though it is critical of changes in its use.
Based on the limited customer feedback, there are significant concerns raised about the environment surrounding Ninemile Prairie Campground. One reviewer expresses strong dissatisfaction with changes in the valley, attributing them to individuals who have "filled it with cows" and taken over "the best parts of the river bottom." This suggests potential impacts on the natural landscape and possibly restricted access to certain areas that were once favored. This perspective indicates a potential degradation of the environment from the viewpoint of at least one user.
The same critical review also mentions that there is "good fishing on the next one down," presumably referring to another river or water body nearby. Additionally, the reviewer notes the presence of "lots of deer and elk depending on time of year." This suggests that the general area around Ninemile Prairie Campground may still offer opportunities for wildlife viewing and fishing, although perhaps not directly at the campground or the immediately adjacent river bottom as preferred by this reviewer.
A separate and significant concern is raised in another review regarding noise pollution. This reviewer states that "Paws Up has ruined this area" and elaborates by explaining that campers at Ninemile Prairie Campground are subjected to the noise of a nearby gun range operated by Paws Up, described as "Non-stop rifle and pistol shooting just across the road." This is a serious issue for those seeking a peaceful and natural camping experience, as continuous gunfire noise can be disruptive and detract from the tranquility typically associated with camping.
Given the limited information, it is challenging to ascertain details about the services and features offered at Ninemile Prairie Campground itself. The reviews focus primarily on negative aspects of the surrounding environment and noise pollution, and do not provide any information about amenities such as restrooms, water sources, fire pits, picnic tables, or the types of campsites available (e.g., tent sites, RV sites with hookups). Without further information, it is impossible to objectively describe the services and features of the campground.
Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The feedback is overwhelmingly negative, highlighting environmental concerns related to changes in land use and significant noise pollution from a nearby gun range. These factors would likely deter potential campers seeking a peaceful and nature-oriented experience.
In conclusion, based on the limited online reviews, Ninemile Prairie Campground in Bonner, MT, appears to be situated in an area that has experienced environmental changes negatively perceived by at least one user, potentially impacting access to preferred areas like the river bottom. More significantly, another review raises a serious concern about continuous noise pollution from a nearby gun range, which could severely detract from the camping experience. While the general area may still offer some wildlife viewing and fishing opportunities in nearby locations, the direct environment of the campground and the pervasive noise appear to be significant drawbacks. For local users searching for "camping near me," Ninemile Prairie Campground warrants careful consideration of these potential issues. Prospective campers are strongly advised to seek additional information from other sources and possibly inquire directly with any managing authority about the current conditions and noise levels before making a reservation or visiting.

Ninemile Prairie Campground Reviews
Yeah Nadine's personal California idiots have ruined the valley since they filled it with cows, I personally think it's ridiculous they took over the best parts of the river bottom all through the greenough valley. There is good fishing on the next one down, lots of deer and elk depending on time of year, they ruined most the places they lived there too.....
Oct 17, 2024 · Jeremy SailorPaws Up has ruined this area. You're paying to listen to their gun range all day. Non-stop rifle and pistol shooting just across the road.
Apr 05, 2025 · Zach LazzariNice spot. Only 4 sites. Has cell reception. But I've been listening to nonstop gunfire from Paws Up shooting area. At least a 1000 rounds in the last 2.5 hours and it doesn't seem like it's ever going to quit. Brought my dog camping for the 4th of july to get away from the fireworks in town but this is not the place I should've gone.
Jul 03, 2024 · D RLovely drive, roaming horses, beautiful views, and extremely quiet besides the gunshots off in the distance. The area around Blackfoot River was fun for us to trudge through with our dogs. There’s lovely wildflowers and interesting rocks. Only 4 sites but we arrived on a Monday and two sites were open. Lots of flies but not much mosquitos! Which is typical for a campground close to a very fast river. No water, but bathrooms. Bring your own potable water. Smaller to middle sized RVs fit in all the sites. We had nice warm days with random breeze. All sites have fire pits. We paid $18 a day since we did not have a fishing license. Bonus: T-Mobile reception is great- three bars.Four stars because the flies drove me nuts- but we still greatly enjoyed our stay!
Jul 12, 2020 · Rali PGreat location with easy access to river. Bathroom was very clean. Most campsites are smelly and gross.
