The Environment: A Laid-Back Haven for Off-Roading with Wooded Camping Potential
The environment at Ogemaw Sport & Trail Center Campground is clearly geared towards those who love to ride. One reviewer described it as a "laid back environment" with a "fun track." The presence of multiple tracks, including a challenging "big track" with a mix of sand, dirt, and rock, and a smaller track loved by kids, indicates a space designed for off-road enjoyment for various ages and skill levels. The mention of "woods" in one review also suggests that the area offers more than just tracks, potentially including trails for enduro or more casual riding.
One visitor who arrived after the Labor Day rush noted the peacefulness of having the place practically to themselves. This hints that while it's a popular spot, there might be quieter times to visit. The same reviewer also mentioned that the "camping spots looked awesome," although their setup with only a dirt bike trailer limited their ability to provide a detailed assessment. However, this positive initial impression suggests that the camping environment complements the off-roading focus of the center.
The address specifically advises to "ONLY TAKE SCRIBNER RD TO LENTZ RD!!!," which is crucial environmental information for potential visitors, suggesting that other routes might not be suitable or lead to the correct location. This highlights the somewhat rural and trail-centric nature of the area.
Services and Amenities: Focus on Riding with Camping Basics
The reviews provide some insights into the services and amenities offered:
- Well-Maintained Tracks: Both the big and small tracks are described as well-maintained, which is essential for a safe and enjoyable riding experience.
- Tracks for All Skill Levels: With a challenging track for serious riders and options like an under 110CC Kids track and an "intermediate" track, the center caters to a wide range of abilities.
- Laid-Back Atmosphere: Visitors can expect a relaxed and informal environment.
- Helpful Community: The anecdote about young adults helping to find a lost kick start suggests a friendly and supportive community among the users.
- Camping Spots: While not detailed, the camping spots are described as "awesome-looking," implying they are decent and potentially appealing.
One area of concern raised was the lack of on-site monitoring of the track for safety. While this didn't detract from the overall positive experience for the reviewer, it's something to be aware of.
It's worth noting that the reviews don't extensively detail typical campground amenities like restrooms, showers, or hookups. The focus seems to be primarily on the off-roading facilities and the general appeal of the location for those who are there to ride.

Ogemaw Sport & Trail Center Campground Reviews
We showed up on Monday after everyone else left on labor day so we practically had the place to ourselves. I didn't like that there wasn't anyone monitoring the track, just in case someone got hurt, but other than that, it was well maintained, a laid back environment, fun track. The kids loved the small track. I found the big track to be a fun challenge, my 11 year old didn't have any trouble at all on his 85. He actually lost his kick start and the handful of young adults that were still there, lapped the track helping us look for it, which they ended up finding so that was really helpful. The camping spots looked awesome. I can't be very helpful though because we only had the dirtbike trailer. They seemed decent enough but it's hard to say, as we typically pull a 42' 5th wheel.
Sep 19, 2021 · NatalieBest track and woods anywhere in the Midwest. A challenging mix of sand, dirt, and rock. But some of the most rewarding riding I’ve ever done. If you’re a serious rider, either enduro or track this is your place. There Are also options for less experienced riders, such as the under 110CC Kids track, or the “intermediate” track
Mar 07, 2023 · ryan sanderseveryone was nice, the facility was groomed well , thaywatered the track several times , and there wasnt a million riders, would definitely recomend and will definitely becoming back
Oct 05, 2024 · Jeremiah BadgleyDid not end up camping or riding here so I cannot speak on that. However, if you are driving here you absolutely need to come in a certain way, via Scribner. I was not aware of this and followed the way the GPS took us, which was down basically OHV trails. Which was a huge mess. When I called the track to ask if they could help in any way they could not, which I do not fault them for. However, the lady I spoke to on the phone (who was very sympathetic) said that a warning about what route to take was up on their website. I had dug through that website while planning our trip and never came across it. Checked again this morning, it is nowhere to be found. At the very least it is not on any of the main pages. When you go to their Facebook that is one of the first things you see which is good, but it really really needs to be added to the website. The cell service in the area is also decent for the most part with Verizon.
Jun 25, 2024 · Erin GWe stayed 2 days & I we'll definitely be back soon. The boys loved the dirt bike track. There's so many areas inside the park to ride & right across the road there's trails. The showers & rest rooms were clean. Now, to the best part- the owner Deano; he's a cool dude. He's very helpful & makes you feel at home. Everyone we came in contact with was so welcoming. The only thing I wish there was more of & that's trails for my can-am in the park. But, that's minor-like I said; there's plenty of amazing trails across the road. My son & his friend loved the dirt bike jumps & trails. Thank you for having the best dirt bike track in Michigan.
