Devoe Campground Introduce
For local users in Michigan seeking an exceptional "camping near me" experience with spacious campsites and access to a beautiful beach, Devoe Campground in Lupton presents an outstanding option. Located on Ridge Rd in Lupton, this campground has garnered positive reviews from visitors who have particularly praised its generous site sizes and attractive beach area, making it an ideal destination for families, groups, and anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside getaway in Ogemaw County.
One of the standout features of Devoe Campground, consistently highlighted by reviewers, is the sheer size of its campsites. One enthusiastic camper exclaimed, "Huge sites!" This abundance of space offers significant advantages, providing campers with ample room for tents of various sizes, recreational equipment, and simply enjoying a sense of privacy and openness. The reviewer further illustrated this spaciousness by mentioning that their family rented five sites together and could comfortably set up a "huge 20'x40' party tent" on one of them, even with rain during their stay. This demonstrates the exceptional size of the individual campsites and the campground's capacity to accommodate large groups and gatherings with plenty of room to spare.
In addition to the expansive campsites, Devoe Campground boasts a "great beach area," which is another major draw for visitors. Access to a beach significantly enhances the camping experience, offering opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, building sandcastles, and simply enjoying the refreshing waters of the adjacent lake. This feature makes Devoe Campground particularly appealing to families with children and anyone who enjoys water-based activities as part of their camping trip. The presence of a well-maintained beach area suggests that the campground prioritizes providing a recreational amenity that enhances the overall enjoyment of the natural environment.
Another aspect of Devoe Campground that resonates positively with campers is the sense of seclusion offered by the campsites. One reviewer specifically noted that the "campsites are great, lots of room and secluded." This combination of spaciousness and seclusion is highly desirable for many campers, as it allows for a more private and peaceful experience, away from the feeling of being crowded or too close to neighboring campsites. The natural layout of the campground, possibly featuring natural barriers or generous spacing between sites, contributes to this sense of privacy, allowing campers to truly relax and immerse themselves in the natural surroundings.
The positive experiences shared by visitors strongly suggest that Devoe Campground provides a welcoming and enjoyable environment for camping. The fact that a family who experienced significant rain during their trip still had a "wonderful time" and expressed their intention to return the following year speaks volumes about the campground's overall appeal and the quality of the experience it offers, even under less-than-ideal weather conditions. This indicates that the key features – the large campsites and the beach area – contribute significantly to camper satisfaction, creating a positive and memorable outdoor experience.

Love this place! Great beach area. Huge sites! Our family rented 5 sites that were together and we set up a huge 20'x40' party tent on the middle one cuz it rained the whole time. There was room for it. We had a wonderful time anyway. Going back next year!
