Old Station Campground Introduce
For local users in California exploring "camping near me," Old Station Campground, located in Old Station, CA 96071, USA, warrants careful consideration based on recent user reviews. Unlike typical campground reviews that focus on amenities, environment, and services, the available feedback for Old Station Campground raises significant concerns regarding safety and management response to critical situations.
The provided reviews paint a disturbing picture of an environment where serious incidents may not be adequately addressed. Both reviewers recount a similar situation involving alleged domestic violence. According to these accounts, a woman was heard screaming and fighting, with loud music playing late into the night, suggesting a significant disturbance. The reviewers claim that despite the apparent distress, neither campground staff nor authorities were contacted to intervene. The following morning, the reviewers report observing the woman with swollen eyes and bruises, indicating potential physical harm. They further state that the woman remained at the campground for an additional four days without seeking medical attention or filing a police report until she returned home.
These reviews explicitly label the campground as "Bad" and "Not safe," directly citing the alleged lack of intervention in a situation involving potential domestic violence. The strong emotional tone and the specific details provided by both reviewers underscore the severity of their concerns. The repeated mention of the incident and the perceived inaction by the campground management create a narrative that potential visitors, especially local users considering Old Station Campground for their camping needs, should be aware of.
Typically, when local users search for "camping near me," they expect a safe and secure environment where they can relax and enjoy the outdoors. Campgrounds are generally expected to have some level of staff presence or protocols in place to address disturbances and ensure the well-being of their guests. The reviews for Old Station Campground, however, suggest a significant departure from this expectation, raising questions about the campground's safety measures and their responsiveness to emergencies or critical situations.
Given the limited information available beyond these two reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the campground's environment, services, and features in the traditional sense. The focus of the existing feedback is overwhelmingly on the alleged safety issue and the perceived lack of appropriate response. Therefore, any discussion of potential amenities like campsite quality, restroom facilities, or recreational opportunities would be speculative and would not align with the objective approach of relying solely on the provided information.
It is important to acknowledge that these are individual accounts, and there may be other perspectives or factors to consider. However, the consistency in the narrative and the seriousness of the allegations warrant significant attention for anyone considering a stay at Old Station Campground. Local users, who might be looking for a convenient camping option in the area, should weigh these accounts carefully against their expectations for safety and security in a campground environment.
In the context of "camping near me," safety is often a primary concern for individuals and families. The reviews for Old Station Campground directly challenge the notion of a safe environment, at least during the time frame described by the reviewers. This information is crucial for local users as they evaluate different camping options in their vicinity. While other campgrounds might boast about their scenic locations or extensive amenities, the available feedback for Old Station Campground centers on a potentially critical failure in ensuring guest safety and well-being.
Therefore, based solely on the provided user reviews, any introduction of Old Station Campground to local users must prioritize the serious safety concerns raised. While it is located in Old Station, CA 96071, and might offer certain basic camping facilities, the overwhelming message from the available feedback is one of potential safety issues and a lack of adequate response to critical incidents. Local users searching for "camping near me" should consider these accounts as a significant factor in their decision-making process. It would be prudent to seek additional information and potentially explore alternative camping options in the area to ensure a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience.

Old Station Campground Reviews
They turn a blind eye to domestic violence. A woman Screaming and fighting with music playing, no one helped or called the police. Next morning eyes swollen shut and bruises across the woman's face. Hat down and sunglasses on she stayed another four days without medical attention or a police report until she arrived home safe from further harm.
Sep 12, 2022 · Margaret Christina HoustonBad Very bad. Domestic violence was ignored. Screaming fighting music after 10pm. Woman hiding bruises and wounds under hat and glasses. Not safe! Police report was done 5 days later when i got home. 😥
Sep 12, 2022 · Margaret Christina Genung-Slater-HoustonNice place to camp, usually not packed, good fishing, hiking and clean campgrounds. Been going there one or two times a year for 30 years. Love it. $16 a night, most have flush toilets and running water.
Aug 09, 2016 · Matt C in ReddingA nice campground. I don't remember which part we stay that but it was one of several pretty decent campgrounds all located around the same area. Great for families can be a little loud at night but good views and in NY central location.
