Paint Creek Campground Reviews
It's a campground with a picnic table and fire ring/grill. The host is nice and helpful and it's the best place to go if you have kids don't have to worry about drunks or idiots ruining your fun. The campground is flat and kinda in a circle so it's perfect for bikes or whatever there is a nice swimming hole and hiking trails available. Police patrol the area so it really makes you feel safe.
Mar 15, 2025 · Brandon McQuadeFun! Would recommend a type of water shoes though.
Apr 27, 2025 · JoyVery nice campground where nearly every site is creek-side. Lots of tree cover to help stay cool in the summer. Excellent downhill road biking, and the resort town of Hot Springs is a pleasant 30-minute drive through the mountains and along a creek and then a river. The only down side is that the place is not an undiscovered gem, so it’s hard to get a site on the weekends and you will have neighbors—hopefully ones that respect space/quiet. Your best bet is to set up camp on a Wednesday or Thursday before the weekend rush hits; you might get one of the better spots that way.
Apr 30, 2023 · Mike BodaryWe went up to have an old-fashioned afternoon splashing at the creek. The drive up for us was a little long, but since it goes through the National Forest, it was a beautifully scenic trip. It wasn't too crowded and the kids had a blast! While the drive is a little further than we typically go, we'll have to come back up this way before the end of summer. Definitely worth a visit!
