Paul Bunyan Family Campground Reviews
My family has stayed at this campground two years in a row and we love it. We have a large rig and had plenty of room ( just make sure you tell them if you have a large rig). The owners are very polite. They delivered some firewood to our site and we ended up having a very pleasant conversation. They’ve made several improvements and I’m looking forward to seeing what they’ll do next. Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed just looking at the stars in the peace and quiet.
Sep 09, 2024 · Jeffrey BlakelyThey are great people. We're on a bicycle tour, and I called to see if they had availability. Amber's friendly voice answered and she said she would always make room for bicyclists! We arrived on a Friday night, and were greeted by Sarah, who was also very friendly and I enjoyed talking with her about our trip. The campground was nice and quiet and the showers wonderful.
Aug 04, 2024 · Ed AchThis place looks like something out of The hills have eyes! 👀 When we first got there there was nobody there at all it was like a ghost town! We looked in the office area and it's so old in there it doesn't look like anybody's been in there since about 1985 and then we walked around back around the pool that they have outside and it was just full of nothing but debris a dead rat, dead bugs, just was pretty gross the bottom of it was all just sand and not clean at all! We ended up putting our tents up for about 20 minutes & decided we were not going to stay there we ended up going back up into ossineke campground which is completely rustic & it was more civilized than this old deserted campground! PS the power did NOT work there either! I was shocked trying to plug in my charger!
Oct 06, 2024 · Tonya RoznowskiFrom the reservation phone call, to the waves goodbye, Amber, staff and other campers provided our family with a wonderful experience. Although the campground is currently under daily renovations, the family atmosphere remains. The entire staff is working together along with campers to create what I predict will be one of the top family campgrounds in the area(if it isn't number one already!) Life jackets, bikes, rakes, even ibuprofen was readily available. If you want a hands on family fun getaway this is the spot. Thanks for having us! The kids can't wait to return, neither can we.
Jul 19, 2022 · Sam GThe service was great and the lady was nice. However this does not have the feel of a family campground and rules are not followed by everyone. This more had the feel of a long term RV park. People had campers that have been in the same spot with the area built up and decorated like a home, which I don't have a problem with, it just made us feel unwelcome and unwanted in our camper van. I feel they don't put a lot into upkeep and maintaining things. The fence around the pool had many broken pieces and what looked like black mold on parts. There was very scarce furniture that was all mismatched with a broken swing. The "playground" is all little kid stuff that nobody over two could play on. We were so unhappy that we stayed less than two hours before we left without even caring about losing our money and just drove home.Response to owner's response. The review you are referring to that was made and removed was my husband's review under his name and his account and had absolutely nothing to do with me, as he is his own person and does what he wants. When I called you on July 10th, I didn't ask for any specific type of hook-up, I just asked if you had a site available for the night of July 29th. You never asked what kind of hook-up I needed and I never said anything, you just said you had a pull-through available. I also don't know anything about aggressive messages, again if they are from my husband that has nothing at all to do with me and I don't appreciate you trying to put his actions on me, we are two different people. We have learned from our mistake and next time will make our events just day trips if the state campgrounds are booked up again so that way mishaps like this don't happen again.
