You can reach them at (507) 665-2297 or +1 507-665-2297 for inquiries and reservations.
The environment at Peaceful Valley Campground is consistently described as "peaceful" and "quiet," nestled in a "woody space" and protected within a valley. This location offers a sense of enclosure and shelter, as one reviewer noted the benefit of being protected from the wind. A "lovely creek" flows through the campground, adding to the natural charm and providing some sites with a neat creek-side backdrop. The presence of this water feature enhances the overall tranquility and offers a pleasant natural element to the camping experience. While the sites in some areas might be a "little closer" than preferred by some, the overall ambiance is one of natural beauty and calm.
The services at Peaceful Valley Campground are characterized by the exceptional friendliness and accommodation of the owners. Multiple reviews highlight their welcoming nature and helpfulness, indicating a personal touch in the management of the campground. The bath and shower house is described as "a bit primitive but very clean" and "very usable," suggesting that while the facilities might not be modern, they are well-maintained and functional, prioritizing cleanliness for the comfort of the guests. The campground offers a mix of camping options, with some seasonal sites located near the entrance after the office, and temporary RV and tent sites situated in the back. This layout suggests a community of longer-term campers alongside those visiting for shorter stays.
One of the key features of Peaceful Valley Campground is its commitment to maintaining a quiet and respectful atmosphere. The owners explicitly state that loud and obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated, ensuring a peaceful environment for all guests. This makes it an excellent choice for families and individuals seeking a relaxing retreat rather than a party atmosphere. The presence of a "nice playground for the kids" indicates that families are welcome and catered to, providing a dedicated space for children to play. Additionally, the campground offers "awesome" Wi-Fi, a valuable amenity for those who wish to stay connected. While phone calls might be unreliable (as per one review noting no phone calls but successful iPhone-to-iPhone texting), the availability of Wi-Fi helps bridge the communication gap.
While one reviewer initially felt the campground might be more geared towards seasonal summer residents, they also noted that "maybe the back loop was more weekenders," suggesting that there are areas accommodating both types of campers. The campground's location was also appreciated by a guest who chose it for its proximity to kayaking, although weather conditions temporarily prevented this activity. This indicates that the surrounding area offers opportunities for outdoor recreation, even if not directly on-site. The protective valley location, which shields campers from strong winds, is another notable feature that enhances comfort and usability of the campsites.
For local users specifically looking for a "camping near me" that emphasizes peace and quiet, Peaceful Valley Campground stands out as a highly recommended option. The friendly and accommodating owners, the clean albeit primitive facilities, the lovely creek, and the wooded setting all contribute to a tranquil camping experience. The presence of a playground makes it suitable for families with children, while the strong Wi-Fi caters to those who need to stay connected. The campground's policy of maintaining a peaceful environment ensures a relaxing stay for all guests.
While no specific promotional information was included in the reviews, the consistently positive feedback regarding the owners and the peaceful atmosphere serves as a strong endorsement. The combination of a natural setting with essential amenities and a clear focus on tranquility makes Peaceful Valley Campground an attractive option for those seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The mix of seasonal and temporary sites suggests a welcoming community for both short-term visitors and longer-term residents.
In conclusion, Peaceful Valley Campground in Le Sueur, Minnesota, offers a wonderful "camping near me" experience for those prioritizing a quiet and wooded setting. The friendly and accommodating owners ensure a pleasant stay, and the presence of a creek and a playground adds to the appeal. While the shower facilities are basic, their cleanliness is a significant plus. The availability of Wi-Fi is a modern convenience that many campers will appreciate. Peaceful Valley Campground Reviews
What an awesome place! The owners couldn't be any friendlier and accommodating. Bath/shower house is a bit primitive but very clean! Very usable. There are some seasonal sites when you first drive in after the office, and temp sites and tent sites in the back. So cute is this place! Highly recommend if you want a peaceful place to camp and a woody space. Don't come here to get loud and obnoxious, you will be asked to leave!!
Jul 19, 2024 · Kris JThe owners were super nice, helpful and accommodating folks.👍🏻This campground is very quiet! There is a lovely creek that flows through. I did not visit the shower houses. The sites were a little closer than I care for. And there wasn’t much space in our area to outdoor activities.I got the feel that this camp was more of a seasonal site for summer not so much a weekend gathering for those enjoying our camping season. I mean nothing negative in that, (just my preference). Noticed maybe the back loop was more weekenders? Chose this campground because it was close to kayaking however, the rain has been insane, for these poor folks! Lots of flooding around town. So, kayaking not option. The one thing about this campground is you are definitely protected in the valley. Was nice to keep the awning out and not be so windy. The Wi-Fi is awesome. There are no phone calls, but texting iPhone to iPhone worked. Some sites back up to the creek which was neat! They have a nice playground for the kids.
Oct 15, 2024 · JillI was in water & electric back-in spot #17 for 3 days. This is on grass but level. There is a pretty creek behind the spot and there are little access points to get back there. The wi-fi was great in that spot. I was able to work so that was great. The bathrooms were clean and showers hot. There was a dump station on site and they have a hose there so you don't have to get yours out so that's nice. They just ask you to rinse it out when you're done. They recycle so that's good as a lot of times you don't find that to be the case. The only thing that was bad but understandable because of lo-cal was the mosquitoes. They were in abundance. I would have stayed longer but there were storms in the forecast and wanted to move on before they hit. I would stay there again.
Jun 03, 2024 · Roberta PeekBeautiful spot just north of Mankato, Mn. Only reason I didn’t give 5⭐️ is because we were in a grass site and were asked not to use a rug. I understand the reasoning just stinks when you drag wet grass in. Wifi was wonderful. Even on the weekend when all sites were full we had reception.Owners are a sweet couple who do a great job maintaining the sites.
Jun 09, 2024 · Cori ThorntonGreat experience. Super friendly and helpful staff meets you as you drive up and checks you in. 15 or so sites for weekenders.Sites don't have pads per se, you are allowed to park however works, and sites are slightly larger than most private campgrounds.Very shady, with tall trees around the perimeter that provide excellent afternoon and morning shade.Nice pavilion in the middle for gathering, but one star off for charging $3 for guests and no guest parking, making the pavilion useful only for gatherings of campers.Possibly the best campground wifi we've ever used, probably due to the small number of campers. Definitely enough to stream movies, etc. Which is great because there's almost no cell service because the site is in a small but deep valley. (And peaceful, hence the name?)Located super conveniently right off 169, yet set back far enough that you won't know it's there.Showers and restrooms, two shower stalls for each gender. Showers are fully enclosed which is nice for privacy but not good for keeping mold at bay, and there's lots of mold stains. Showers/restrooms cleaned 3 times/day.Would definitely stay again.
