Sawmill Campground Reviews
Great place for a quiet and restful stay. Nice staff, clean park. City water and sewer. Mankato has the best city water I have ever tasted. Close to town.
Apr 26, 2025 · Laura klaasBest service that place has had in years this last year. Seems like it's finally got honest knowledgeable hard working camp hosts . It desperately needed that. Only reason to come back now is keeping the people you think may think are replaceable but really wouldn't be for the best interest of the visitors or the campgrounds.Until next season ! 😁🫡
Dec 11, 2024 · Angela WelschThis is a great campground if you have a stopover or just want a quiet place to land. Unfortunately the reviews are correct about the campground owner. I have had a couple years to simmer down about my interactions with him. My conclusion he is not a people person and should not be the person they put in contact with those who come to the campground as he is not very personable. With that being said that is his personality. They would do better to have a different person out front greeting and checking in so that others don’t get the wrong impression. If you overlook that, the rest of your stay will be just fine. It is a no-frills campground, but it fulfills your needs if you’re stopping over or you have something going on in town And need a place of rest.We are hoping to return there in the next month or so for another family gathering. I will arrive there with a totally different mindset, knowing how I may. (Probably may not) be greeted. I will be OK with it this time though 😉😊!
Jul 17, 2024 · JillDo not bother camping here. The owners "handyman" mowed site yards on a Saturday evening which was NOT requested by campers. He hit our large slide out with the bar of his riding mower and damaged it trying to get out. Not only does the owner refuse to provide insurance information- but the entire staff lied about the incident repeatedly!! The owner cannot be trusted and the campground itself is not worth the risk in staying here.
Aug 27, 2024 · Peggy OlsonWe have stayed here many times. We like it, but they have an old school, write the reservation on a calendar type management system. They have lost our reservation twice, and lost our large camper site requirement once. Make sure to follow up with them before your stay!
