Oct 08, 2024 · Tess YoungGreat, secluded hidden gem of a campground! Its along Clear Creek which is gorgeous & has clear crystal water. No water here so bring your own. Bathrooms were clean & there are plenty of trash receptacles. It was a very quiet 2 nights here, as I was only there with 1 other site booked. It's about 5 minutes from the lake! Downfalls... mosquitos & yellow jackets are miserable so be prepared. Also I am pretty sure there was a bear in our camp one night. Overall it's a great & secluded campground when you want to get away!
Aug 08, 2020 · Kristy WrayWe stayed here based on the amazing reviews. The only site available was site 5, which we were excited to get. In the morning we found in site 5 we were the only site in full hot sun in the morning (8:30am), and the hornets, wasps and bees were as intense as the sun. Campground is small and off the beaten path, along a very cold but beautiful river. Campground has vault toilets (clean) and no water at all (bring it in). There is no host, so plan ahead and book online. Sites 6 and up are much more secluded, with good shade /tree coverage. Sites 1-3 seem to be for groups. We left early due to a very loud group in those sites up until after 2am. FYI help with this is at your discretion...you need to call the park Rangers. Overall a beautiful campground, but with three kids, the yellow jackets, heat and loud people it was a bit of a disappointment.
Jul 21, 2018 · Jolene FloresIt is a small campground, only 9 camp sites. But it is very quiet and no person due to covid-19 and winter season. It is a nice place to have few hiking trails around. Happy new year!
Jan 01, 2021 · QQ AAA nice area, quiet. We only visited. There were open camping sites. Reservation only.
