Quail Roost RV Campground Introduce
Looking for an RV-centric camping option in the 'camping near me' category within the Crystal River, Florida area? Quail Roost RV Campground, located at 9835 N Citrus Ave, appears to primarily cater to recreational vehicles, offering a base for exploring the natural beauty and attractions of Citrus County and the surrounding Gulf Coast region. While specific details about the campground's environment and comprehensive services are limited in the provided information, the reviews offer some insight into recent operational aspects that local users should consider.
Quail Roost RV Campground is situated in Crystal River, a location known for its unique natural environment, particularly its crystal-clear springs and the opportunity to swim with manatees. Citrus County boasts a variety of outdoor activities, including boating, fishing, kayaking, and exploring state parks and wildlife refuges. The environment surrounding the campground likely benefits from this natural richness, potentially offering a tranquil setting within easy reach of local attractions. The address on North Citrus Avenue suggests it may be conveniently located near local amenities and access roads.
The available customer reviews provide a snapshot of a recent experience at Quail Roost RV Campground. One review from a guest named "sills" recounts a stay where the electrical power was off for eight hours due to repairs, impacting their experience negatively. They also mentioned that the pool was closed due to a lack of power for circulation. The guest expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of prior notification about the power outage and the pool closure, especially during their stay in Crystal River, Florida. This review highlights potential disruptions to essential services at the campground.
In response to this negative review, a representative of Quail Roost RV Campground provided a clarification. They apologized for the unpleasant stay and noted that the power outage on Wednesday was due to updates to the main power boxes but claimed it did not affect the side of the campground where "sills" was staying. They also explained that the pool was closed due to legal requirements regarding water circulation to prevent illness. The representative apologized for any inconvenience caused by these issues.
Based on this limited information, we can infer some of the services and features likely offered at Quail Roost RV Campground, primarily geared towards RV travelers. These typically include: RV sites with electrical hookups (the power outage incident confirms the presence of an electrical system), water hookups, and possibly sewage hookups. The mention of a pool indicates a recreational amenity available for guests, although its operation is dependent on power for circulation. The campground likely has restroom and shower facilities for guests, although their condition and reliability are not detailed in the provided text.
Given that the response to the negative review differentiates between "sides" of the campground regarding the power outage, it suggests that the campground might be divided into sections with potentially varying infrastructure or hookup availability. The fact that repairs and updates to the main power boxes were underway indicates an effort to maintain or improve the electrical system, which is crucial for RV parks.
The incident with the pool closure, while inconvenient for the affected guests, was explained as being due to legal requirements related to health and safety. This suggests that the campground management is aware of and adheres to regulations concerning pool maintenance and operation. However, the lack of proactive communication about potential disruptions, as pointed out by the negative review, is an area where improvement could enhance guest experience.
There is no specific promotional information available for Quail Roost RV Campground in the provided text. Local users interested in potential discounts, seasonal rates, or special offers would need to contact the campground directly at (352) 563-0404 or +1 352-563-0404 to inquire. They may also have a website or listings on RV park directories that could provide information on pricing and promotions.
The environment of Crystal River is a significant draw for visitors to the area. The unique opportunity to interact with manatees in their natural habitat is a major attraction. The region also offers beautiful springs, state parks like Crystal River Preserve State Park, and opportunities for scalloping during the season. Quail Roost RV Campground's location in Crystal River places it within reach of these natural attractions, making it a potentially convenient base for exploring the area.
For local users searching for 'camping near me' specifically for RVs in the Crystal River area, Quail Roost RV Campground is a potential option. However, the recent feedback regarding power outages and pool closures should be taken into consideration. It might be prudent to inquire about the current status of these services and any planned maintenance that could affect a stay. The campground's response to the negative review indicates a willingness to address issues, which could be a positive sign for future guests.
In conclusion, Quail Roost RV Campground in Crystal River appears to be an RV-focused campground in a region known for its natural beauty and attractions. While a recent guest experience highlighted issues with a power outage and pool closure, the campground management responded with explanations. Local users considering this campground for their RV stay should be aware of these recent operational challenges and may want to seek updated information on the reliability of services before making a reservation. The location in Crystal River offers proximity to unique natural experiences, which remains a significant draw for the area.

Quail Roost RV Campground Reviews
This is in response to the review from sills. Sorry your stay was unpleasant. I did see your reservation was sun to Wednesday. Our power was out on Wednesday and turned back on the same day. but it did not effect the side you were staying on. The only side effected was the one side due to updating our main power boxes. And for the pool being shut down I am sorry that the law states it can cause illness with no circulation we can not let people in the pool. Again I do apologize for any inconvenience.
Apr 30, 2024 · Debbie KerseyDon’t ever stay at Quail Roost Campground. We made our reservation on a Saturday and arrived on Sunday. On Wednesday, the electrical power was off for 8 hours for repairs. No one told us one of our days would be dark. On top of that, the pool was closed due to no power for circulation. 82 • in Crystal River Florida. Staff should have told us. Never again!!!!
Apr 24, 2024 · Jonnie SillsQuail Roost RV Park is a community of friends within the park. Most everyone gets along & we all help one another out. Of course, there are a couple that like to complain about everything. The updates with the electric & the stone in each site is a welcome improvement. The manager, (Jodi) has been friendly & helpful at fixing issues. The maintenance crew Have been working hard to make the park look beautiful. I am so thankful that I found Quail Roost RV PARK & all the dear friends I’ve made.
May 11, 2024 · Mimi ScolaroI recommend Quail Roost as a nice place to launch your Crystal River explorations. The staff is super friendly and the park's very easy to navigate. I had a convenient pull thru spot with plenty of room. I'd say this place is 75% snowbirds, but everyone was extremely friendly. The park is clean with plenty of shade; clean bathrooms, nice laundry facilities. It's about a 10-15 minute drive to Three Sisters Park We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Feb 23, 2024 · Randy GreenbergWe have spent 6 years here as snowbirds and absolutely love the staff here as well as the friends who are like family! Everybody looks out for one another and helps each other! This is a small park at a reasonable price it might not be the Taj Mahal to some but it sure is to us! We have activities, crafts, bingo, nightly games with friends, pot lucks and entertainment! Every park has issues within it but there is no place we’d rather be than Quail Roost! Kudos to Jodi and Debbie and Russ and his staff and Darlene and Pete who keeep the place so clean! Can’t wait to get back amongst friends who are like family! ❤️
