ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA Introduce
Searching for "camping near me" that offers more than just a traditional campsite? Look no further than ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA, nestled at 20679 Antlers Rd, Lakehead, CA 96051, USA. This unique destination on the shores of Shasta Lake provides a blend of accommodation options, including cabin rentals, alongside marina services, catering to a variety of travelers seeking a lakeside escape. You can reach them at their toll-free number: (800) 238-3924 or their mobile-friendly number: +1 800-238-3924.
Based on customer feedback, ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA appears to be a particularly appealing destination during the off-season. One reviewer described their experience as "super quiet and relaxing," highlighting the serene atmosphere during less crowded times. This tranquility could be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The resort's lakeside location on Shasta Lake undoubtedly contributes to this calm and relaxing environment, offering beautiful scenery and opportunities for waterside relaxation.
For those opting for cabin accommodations, one positive review mentioned a "newly remodeled" cabin that was "super clean" and equipped with "all the minimum kitchen supplies to cook a meal." This suggests that the cabins offer a comfortable and convenient lodging option, providing the essentials for preparing your own food and enjoying a home-away-from-home experience. The cleanliness of the cabins is also a significant plus, indicating a commitment to guest comfort and hygiene.
The customer service at ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA seems to be a strong point, with one reviewer specifically giving a "five-star" rating for the service provided by Danielle and Whitney. They were described as "super friendly and very accommodating," readily answering numerous questions with a "friendly, warm, and inviting" demeanor. Excellent customer service can significantly enhance the overall guest experience, making visitors feel welcome and well-cared for.
However, there are a couple of points raised in the reviews that potential visitors should be aware of. One significant drawback mentioned is the "minimum of three nights" booking requirement. For travelers seeking a short weekend getaway, particularly those coming from out of town, this policy might be restrictive and prevent them from booking a shorter stay. If you are looking for a one or two-night stay, it's essential to confirm if this minimum booking policy is still in place and if there are any exceptions.
Another reviewer expressed concerns about the resort potentially "still recovering from the hits that they took during the drought and during covid." While this comment is somewhat vague, it suggests that the resort might have faced challenges in recent years that could potentially impact the facilities or services offered. It would be prudent to inquire about the current status of the resort and any ongoing improvements or limitations.
Additionally, this same reviewer mentioned a dissatisfaction with the resort's "cancellation policy." Unfortunately, no specific details about the policy were provided. However, it is always crucial for potential guests to thoroughly understand the cancellation policy before making a reservation, as it can impact your travel plans and potential refunds in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Despite these concerns, ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA is recommended "for fishers" due to its location on Shasta Lake. Shasta Lake is a renowned destination for various types of fishing, offering opportunities to catch bass, trout, salmon, and more. The presence of a marina suggests that boat rentals and potentially fishing supplies or advice might be available, catering directly to the needs of anglers. For those planning a fishing trip, the resort's access to the lake is a significant advantage.
The mention of a "quiet off-season get away" further emphasizes the peaceful ambiance of the resort during less busy times. If you are seeking a tranquil escape focused on relaxation and enjoying the natural beauty of Shasta Lake without large crowds, visiting during the off-season could be an ideal choice.
While the reviews primarily focus on cabin rentals and the marina aspects, the name "ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA" implies that some form of camping might also be available. It's possible they offer RV sites or tent camping areas in addition to their cabins. If you are specifically looking for traditional "camping near me" rather than cabin accommodation, it is essential to inquire about the availability and types of campsites they offer, as well as any associated amenities for campers.
To get a comprehensive understanding of ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA, including their current camping options (if any), specific amenities for campers and marina users, the latest information on their booking and cancellation policies, and any potential ongoing improvements, it is highly recommended to contact them directly at (800) 238-3924 or +1 800-238-3924. Speaking with their staff will provide the most up-to-date details and allow you to ask specific questions related to your needs and preferences.
In conclusion, ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA in Lakehead, CA, offers a potentially serene lakeside retreat, particularly appealing during the off-season. The remodeled cabins are reported to be clean and well-equipped, and the customer service receives high praise. Its location on Shasta Lake makes it a desirable destination for fishing enthusiasts. However, the minimum three-night booking policy and the need to be aware of their cancellation policy are important considerations. While the provided information doesn't explicitly detail camping facilities, it's worth inquiring about if you are looking for traditional "camping near me" in the Shasta Lake area. Contact ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA directly to learn more about their offerings and plan your lakeside getaway.

ANTLERS RESORT & MARINA Reviews
Went during off season. The place was super quiet and relaxing! The cabin i was in was newly remodled. Super clean and had all the minimum kitchen supplies to cook a meal. The only reason I am giving this one less star is because you have to book a minimum of three nights. Coming from out of town and wanting a weekend getaway I wish there was an option to book for two. Would recommend for fishers and quiet off season get away. Five star for customer service Danielle and Whitney were both super friendly and very accommodating. I asked a whole lot of question and they were so friendly, warm, and inviting. Thank you ladies!!!
Feb 26, 2025 · Yong PhanI believe they're still recovering from the hits that they took during the drought and during covid. But there are several issues that really need some improvement there. Also, I really do not like their cancellation policy.
May 02, 2025 · Jimmy SmithStaff was was wonderful! From the gal in the office to the guys on the docks , made our stay so accommodating. Not once did we hear no to anything we needed. I also love my new fishing hat i purchased from the office, I believe it's the reason I caught the 5lb salmon. We had a great time and Thank you all. See you again .
Sep 09, 2024 · eyeglasschick eyeglasschickWe stayed at their campground. It was very ran down, exposed electrical outlets, very dusty, campsites are not maintained.Every sites fire pit was full of ashes and trash in many. But the crime was horrible! Many ice chests, chairs were stolen the week we were there. They even went into an unlocked rig and stole personal items. There isn’t any security and employees only comment was “tweekers come in here and do that all the time”.Unless this place gets bought out and refurbished with new owners, management and security, I’ll never go back. The 7 other families with me also said they will NEVER go back to Antlers. Very unfortunate. If you have reservations, take plenty of locks and cables.
Aug 11, 2024 · donaldGreat camping site!We went during 2020, when it was fairly slow, and had a lovely time. We rented one of the simplest boats they had - basically a pontoon with a shade cover and a bathroom. Stayed on the lake most of the day because it got soooo hot on land! We were also able to find another lake access / beach off the road on the other side of the highway from antlers.People / employees were great.Remember to use the bear boxes. They are there for a reason! ;-)Redding isn't too far away for groceries or a day trip to the Sun Dial bridge and museum. We would definitely stay at Antlers again.
