Lakeshore East Introduce
Looking for a "camping near me" experience right on the beautiful shores of Lake Shasta in California? You can reach them at (530) 275-8113 or their mobile number +1 530-275-8113 to inquire about availability and make reservations. Based on recent customer reviews, Lakeshore East provides a generally pleasant camping experience with some notable highlights and a few considerations for potential visitors.
The environment of Lakeshore East Campground is undoubtedly one of its primary draws, situated directly on the shoreline of the stunning Lake Shasta. This lakeside location offers beautiful views and the potential for various water-related activities. The campground itself is described as "beautiful" and "little," suggesting a more intimate and perhaps less crowded atmosphere compared to larger campgrounds. The presence of deer and skunks passing through campsites indicates that the area is integrated with the local wildlife, offering opportunities for nature observation, though campers should take necessary precautions regarding food storage and interactions with animals. One reviewer noted that the area outside of the campground appeared "a bit run down," which is a factor to consider if you plan on exploring extensively beyond the immediate campground vicinity.
In terms of services and features, Lakeshore East Campground offers several amenities that contribute to a comfortable stay. A significant positive aspect highlighted by multiple reviewers is the exceptional service provided by the camp hosts, who are described as "awesome." This suggests that visitors can expect friendly and helpful assistance during their stay. The restrooms are consistently praised for being "clean at all times," which is a crucial factor for overall camper satisfaction. The campground also boasts "nice, level, paved pads" at all campsites. This is particularly beneficial for RVs and trailers, ensuring a stable and even setup. The availability of one drive-through site and a number of double sites provides flexibility for different camping configurations. Furthermore, most sites are reported to be large enough to accommodate decent-sized RVs or trailers, making it a suitable option for RV travelers seeking "rv parks near me" with lakeside access.
While the campground offers many positives, there is a notable consideration regarding access to the water. One reviewer mentioned that "getting to the water is kinda sketchy" and requires navigating down a rocky embankment. This is important for potential campers to be aware of, especially those with mobility issues or young children, as direct and easy access to the lake shore might be limited or challenging in certain areas of the campground. However, for those comfortable with a bit of a rugged descent, the reward is direct access to the beautiful Lake Shasta.
The availability of clean restrooms with flush toilets is another significant amenity that enhances the camping experience at Lakeshore East. This is often preferred over more primitive options like vault toilets and contributes to a more comfortable and convenient stay for families and those who appreciate more developed facilities.
Regarding safety and security, one reviewer expressed a slight hesitation about leaving belongings unattended for extended periods due to the condition of the area outside the campground. While this is just one observation, it's a point to keep in mind, and campers may want to take standard precautions to secure their valuables when leaving their campsite for extended durations.
No specific promotional information, such as discounts or special offers, is mentioned in the provided reviews. The primary promotion for Lakeshore East Campground is its beautiful location directly on Lake Shasta, its well-maintained facilities (level paved pads, clean restrooms), and the positive experiences shared by campers regarding the helpfulness of the camp hosts. For local users searching for "camping near me" with lakeside access and good amenities, these features are strong selling points.

Lakeshore East Reviews
Nice campground. Getting to the water is kinda sketchy as you have to defend down a rocky embankment. The camp hosts were awesome and the bathrooms were clean at all times. We had deer and skunks come through our site.
Jul 19, 2024 · M MagBeautiful little campground right on the shore of Lake Shasta. All campsites had nice, level, paved pads. There was one drive through site a number of double sites. Most sites were large enough to accommodate decent sized RVs or trailers. Clean restrooms with flush toilets. The only reason I rated it down one star was the area itself, outside of the campground, was a bit run down and we may have been a little hesitant to leave much out at the campsite if we were going to be away from it for an extended period.
Nov 29, 2020 · Dave RossWe stayed at campsite 6 and 7. While the photos to the beach are a little misleading the site itself is nice. The water was great and at 9 people late respectful of noice. Although the locals are not and they yell as they drive by.
Jul 05, 2024 · Heidi KoshmanPretty nice campground. Next to 2 boat ramps and not too far from the water if you hike down the hill. Not the best place to swim but looks great for fishing! Downside is that it's close to highway 5 and a train track so you can hear some noise at night. Other than that a nice place to get away.
Jan 05, 2021 · Jose LopezSo beautiful place for camping. They got very clean restroom and a place to fill the drinking water. They also got three yurts too.The early morning scene is incredible by the water!
