Milo Farm - Retreat Center, Campground, Sacred Land Reviews
Primitive camping was a blast! A VERY unique farm, so much to see and explore. The staff is incredible, Jake is a rock star employee. This is a great location for getting off the grid without having to travel too far (if youre a KCMO resident). I only stayed 2 nights but I will be back soon because there is so much more to explore. Kid friendly! Loni is an amazing host. The donkeys and goats are an added bonus!
Apr 22, 2025 · Justin Van CampFrom the very first time I visited Milo Farm and spoke with Loni, I knew this place would be special to me and my family—and it has been. It all started with the name-changing celebration for my son two years ago, and since then, we've made countless memories. From solo camping trips, family getaways, workshops, retreats, and volunteer weekends, to simply walking the trails, Milo Farm has become my safe haven. Loni, her incredible team, and this beautiful land make you feel instantly at home. The trails are a must every time I visit, and it’s amazing to see how much they add and improve. Honestly, I would say I'm surprised by all the changes, but now that I know Loni as both a friend and family, I know the size of her heart. Her vision for Milo Farm is truly coming to life. From the AirB&B and the charming Hobbit Hut to the breathtaking star and sunset views, this place has everything for a little retreat away from home. What makes Milo Farm so special isn't just the natural beauty—it's the people. Loni and her team genuinely care about the well-being of others and the Earth. I've grown so much from my experiences here, and I will always treasure my time at Milo Farm. Thank you, Loni, for creating such a magical, healing space.
Oct 21, 2024 · Shannon JosendaleMy week spent at Milo Farm was likely the most peaceful week I've had in quite a while. The day after I pulled my camper from Iowa my transmission went out. The folks at Milo were very understanding and helpful. I helped with a few things around the farm over the duration of my stay and got to work and hang out with some of the most beautiful people I have ever met. I was a stranger upon arrival and felt like family within a week of knowing these amazing people. I will definitely be back. Thank you Milo Farm family, I love you all.
Dec 26, 2024 · Benjamin GuthrieWe had awesome family time in this farm stay. The morning sunrise from the pool and sunset from the freedom trail were beautiful. Our favorite were the farm animals , we could pet and feed them, the hammock row, trails, meditation under wisdom tree was magical, the kayak on the south pond was short and the pictures came out great, swimming pool was clean, temperature controlled and non slippery, our toddler loved the toy room which had games and books. The house had Two rooms and bathrooms which were designed in different ways and there were madame Alexandra international doll collection . The Buddha in the house gave a zen vibe. Two nights of stay were not enough and we needed more 😊 we thank Loni for sharing her house and responding to us whenever needed.
