Trailside RV Park & Propane Introduce
For local residents in the Grain Valley, Missouri area and those traveling through who are searching for a reliable "camping near me" option, Trailside RV Park & Propane, located at 1000 R D Mize Rd, Grain Valley, MO 64029, USA, offers a convenient stopover with essential services. You can reach them at (816) 229-2267 or their mobile number +1 816-229-2267 to inquire about reservations and their offerings. Based on recent customer experiences, this RV park is noted for its professional and friendly service, clean facilities, and ease of use, primarily catering to those seeking short-term stays or needing propane services.
As the name suggests, Trailside RV Park & Propane not only provides camping sites but also offers propane services, which is a significant convenience for RV owners and local residents who rely on propane for various needs. This dual offering makes it a valuable resource for those in the "camping near me" category who require propane refills in addition to or during their travels.
One of the standout features consistently mentioned in customer reviews is the exceptional level of service. From the initial reservation call to the checkout process, guests have reported interactions that are both professional and friendly. This emphasis on customer care can greatly enhance the overall experience, especially for travelers who appreciate efficiency and a welcoming atmosphere after a long journey.
The cleanliness and organization of the facilities at Trailside RV Park & Propane are also highly praised. Reviewers have specifically noted that the facilities are "super clean and well organized," which is a crucial aspect for any traveler looking for a comfortable and hygienic environment during their stay. This attention to detail in maintaining the facilities reflects a commitment to providing a positive experience for their guests.
The environment of the RV park is described as "very quiet even though it was close to the road." This is a significant advantage, as proximity to roadways can often lead to disruptive noise levels. The fact that guests have found it to be quiet suggests effective management in mitigating potential traffic sounds, allowing for a more peaceful rest, especially important for those making an overnight stop.
However, it's important for potential visitors, particularly those with longer RVs, to be aware of some site-specific considerations. One reviewer with a 44-foot camper who reserved site #14 online, which was stated to accommodate their length, found the site to be "not ideal." The primary issue was that "the site was not level, so much so that our camper could not be leveled because of the difference in incline from front to back." This is a critical factor for RV owners, as a level site is essential for the proper functioning of appliances and overall comfort. The reviewer provided a "heads up" for others with long campers to be mindful of this potential issue.
Another environmental factor to consider is the campground's proximity to the interstate. While one reviewer noted the park was quiet despite being close to the road, another explicitly stated, "The campground is right next to the interstate, so expect traffic noise for sure." This discrepancy in experience might depend on the specific campsite location within the park or individual sensitivity to noise. It's advisable to be prepared for potential traffic sounds due to its location.
Despite the issue with the uneven site for a long camper, the reviewer still acknowledged that "customer service was great and the check-in and out process was simple." This reinforces the positive feedback regarding the management and operational efficiency of Trailside RV Park & Propane.
In summary, Trailside RV Park & Propane offers the following environment, services, and features for local users and travelers:
- Convenient location: Easily accessible for those traveling through the area.
- Professional and friendly service: Consistent positive feedback regarding customer interactions.
- Super clean and well-organized facilities: Ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay.
- Propane services: A valuable amenity for RV owners and local propane needs.
- Relatively quiet environment: Despite proximity to the road, noise levels are reported to be manageable.
- Simple check-in and check-out process: Enhancing the ease of overnight stays.
However, potential visitors should also be aware of the following:
- Uneven campsites: Some sites may not be level, posing a challenge for leveling RVs, particularly longer ones. It's advisable to inquire about site levelness when booking.
- Potential traffic noise: Being located next to the interstate may result in traffic noise, although experiences seem to vary.
- Primarily geared towards short-term stays: Reviews focus on overnight stops, suggesting it might be best suited for travelers passing through or needing a quick stopover.
Promotional information is somewhat limited in the provided data, but the positive reviews themselves serve as a strong endorsement for the park's cleanliness, friendly service, and convenience. For local users in Grain Valley and surrounding areas, the availability of propane services alongside RV parking makes Trailside RV Park & Propane a practical choice. For those traveling through, its ease of access, efficient service, and generally quiet environment offer a reliable option for an overnight stay. When booking, especially if you have a larger RV, it is recommended to inquire about the levelness and specific characteristics of the available sites to ensure a comfortable experience. Overall, Trailside RV Park & Propane appears to prioritize the needs of travelers seeking a clean, convenient, and professionally managed stopover.

Trailside RV Park & Propane Reviews
This was an overnight quick stop on our way thru the area. Everything was handled professionally and friendly from call to make reservation thru checkout. Facilities were super clean and well organized. Park was very quiet even though it was close to the road . Would definitely stay there again if in area.
Apr 22, 2025 · Connie StottsMy husband and I stopped overnight as we traveled through town. We have a 44’ camper. We reserved site #14 online which stated would accommodate our camper. Even though the length of the site was as stated, it was not ideal. The site was not level, so much so that our camper could not be leveled because of the difference in incline from front to back. Just a heads up if you have a long camper like ours.Customer service was great and the check in and out process was simple. The campground is right next to the interstate, so expect traffic noise for sure.
Apr 08, 2025 · Jama CowanTrailside RV Park was clean but crowded, small spaces, great as a stop over. Lady at check-in was nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. Bathroom was modern and clean. Didn't use the laundry, but I'm glad it was available. They were full when we visited so I was glad we made reservations. It is close to KC off I70 and easy to get to I35 and home. We would stay at Trailside again. Thanks!
Oct 05, 2024 · Debbie DunaganChecking in was probably the best service I have ever experienced and it was after hours - she texted me and even put out a cone at our campsite to help us find it. My biggest complaints are that our campsite had no fire pit and no picnic table, the sites were very very close together - I could almost touch my neighbors from our camper, the sewer hookups were up hill and that made things very challenging. We actually left as soon as we could and did call the office to provide the above feedback and to request a refund for the second night. They did offer to move us; however, none of their campsites have fire pits and all of the hookups we saw were up hill and there was little space between campsites. Their policy is no refunds. Sounds like they are still working on enhancements and would recommend other travelers skip this one until their enhancements are done.
Sep 21, 2024 · Shanna LambingWe are full time RV and we have been coming to Trailside RV Park for 5-6 years. It’s a very nice campground and they continually work to upgrade the park every year. It’s clean, the staff is very friendly, it’s convenient to shopping and two major hospitals. They have a large dog park, clean restrooms and a nice pool. The grounds are well taken care off. I give the park a five star rating and we will continue to come here every spring/summer. Thank you Austin for making this campground such a nice place to stay. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else.Richard & Dorothy Sales & Bailey.
