Riverside Resort Introduce
For local users seeking a memorable "camping near me" experience in the Mammoth Spring, Arkansas area, Riverside Resort, located at 901 Riverside Dr, Mammoth Spring, AR 72554, USA, offers a compelling option. Situated directly on the banks of the Spring River, this resort provides a picturesque environment and a range of activities centered around the river. You can contact them at (870) 625-7501 or +1 870-625-7501 for reservations and inquiries.
The environment of Riverside Resort is consistently praised by visitors. Its prime location on the Spring River offers stunning views and a sense of tranquility that many campers seek. The presence of the river not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides opportunities for various water-based activities. The clear waters of the Spring River are ideal for fishing, and the overall calm atmosphere contributes to a relaxing getaway. One reviewer enthusiastically described the view, fishing, calm, and water as "excellent," highlighting the natural beauty and peaceful ambiance of the resort.
Riverside Resort offers several key services and features aimed at enhancing the camping experience. A significant highlight is the availability of canoe and raft rentals directly from the site. This convenience allows campers to easily embark on scenic float trips down the Spring River. The resort provides a shuttle service, transporting guests upstream for either a 5-mile or an 8-mile float trip, catering to different preferences for length and duration. While the typical duration for the 5-mile trip is around three hours, recent rains can increase the river's speed, as noted by one reviewer who experienced a faster flow. The resort's efficient check-in and check-out process also contribute to a smooth and hassle-free stay.
For convenience, Riverside Resort features an on-site store that stocks a wide array of items, ensuring that campers can easily purchase essentials they might have forgotten, saving them a trip into town. This is a valuable amenity, especially for those who prefer to stay close to the campsite and the river. The resort also provides a bathhouse for guests. While one reviewer found it to be "nicer than expected," they also mentioned a potential issue with running out of hot water during peak times. This suggests that while facilities are available, it might be advisable to plan shower times accordingly to avoid potential inconvenience.
Camping at Riverside Resort appears to primarily cater to RV and potentially tent campers, although the specific types of campsites and amenities for each are not fully detailed in the provided reviews. One reviewer mentioned a "$42 a night for camper spot rental," indicating that RV sites with some level of hookups are available. However, the reviews do not explicitly state the nature of these hookups (e.g., water, electricity, sewer). For tent campers, it can be inferred that basic campsites are likely available, but details regarding specific amenities at these sites (like picnic tables or fire rings) are not provided.
One notable point for potential campers is the absence of "regular bathrooms with showers like other places," as mentioned by one reviewer. This reinforces the idea that while a bathhouse is present, it might not meet the expectations of all visitors in terms of modernity or capacity. However, another reviewer found the bathhouse to be better than anticipated, suggesting that experiences may vary. It's wise for prospective guests to inquire directly about the bathhouse facilities to ensure they align with their comfort levels.
Promotional aspects of Riverside Resort can be gleaned from the positive experiences shared by reviewers. The "best place I’ve been to" comment speaks volumes about the overall satisfaction of at least one visitor, emphasizing the excellent view, fishing, calm atmosphere, and the river itself. The resort's appeal as a "great place for camping with family and friends" further serves as a recommendation, highlighting its suitability for group outings and creating shared memories around campfires and river adventures.
The availability of canoe and raft rentals directly from the campsite is a significant promotional feature, offering a unique and convenient way to experience the Spring River. The shuttle service for the float trips adds to this appeal, making it easy for campers to enjoy extended time on the water without the hassle of transporting their own equipment or arranging separate logistics. The on-site store provides added convenience, reducing the need to leave the resort for basic necessities.
For local users in the Mammoth Spring area looking for a "camping near me" destination that combines river access with recreational activities, Riverside Resort offers a promising option. The positive reviews regarding the environment and the convenience of on-site rentals suggest a well-regarded facility. However, it's important to be aware of the potential limitations of the bathhouse, as mentioned by one reviewer. Direct communication with the resort at the provided phone numbers will allow potential guests to gather specific information about campsite types, amenities, pricing, and any current conditions or recommendations to ensure a satisfying camping experience along the beautiful Spring River.

Riverside Resort Reviews
One of the best places I’ve been to. The view, the fishing, the calm, the water… everything was excellent. If only it has regular bathrooms with showers like other places, this resort will be top notch places in the country.
Oct 21, 2024 · MGreat place for camping with family and friends! Camp fires and canoe 🛶 or raft rentals from site by bus ride being dropped off up stream for either a 5 mile or 8 mile float trip. The river was higher because of recent rains so it went faster than the 3 hours it usually takes for a 5 mile trip. The resort did a great job with checking us in and checking us out. The store on site also has almost everything you might have forgotten. Also, the bathhouse was nicer than expected but I hear they might run out of hot water if you don't beat the rush! Not bad for the Spring River! ($42 a night for camper spot rental)
Jul 09, 2023 · Jennifer CollinsWe have been enjoying Riverside Resort every year since 2008. Good prices. The cabins are affordable, bathrooms/showers are always clean. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The owner and his security team, do a great job keeping it safe and family friendly. We look forward to seeing staff members like, Walter and his son Jimmy every year.
Aug 10, 2023 · Cristyl BonagurioWhat an amazing place - owned by an amazing family! This was my first visit and I will certainly be planning more trips in the future. I stayed a few nights in a small cabin down by the river. It had a full size bed, a bunk bed and an air conditioning unit, which I was thankful for. Be sure to bring your own linens and of course towels, etc. They have a large shower house with seemingly endless warm showers, which were always clean and very well maintained. They have a well stocked and reasonably priced camp store with just about everything you could have forgotten or didn't realize you needed or wanted. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS! They will turn you around if you bring a pet with you - no exceptions! This is true of most all the river resorts in that area. This place is perfect for a lone getaway, a family, or a large to very large group. They have tons of cabins - some with a full kitchens etc., RV sites, and lots of tent camping sites as well. They also sell day passes so you can enjoy the river and fish, etc. They rent large river rafts, kayaks and canoes, and have multiple buses and passenger vans to shuttle groups of all sizes for a very reasonable fee. This place is truly a gem and is situated in a beautiful part of the river. I brought my bible and my paddle board and had an amazing few days! I highly recommend this resort - hands down a 5 star river resort.
